    So much potential! The view is stunning, but that is where it ends for this hotel on the point in Mossel Bay! The hallways are gloomy and the rooms are need of serious upgrades. We were on the 4th floor and all the rooms opening up to the other side of our hallway had no doors and were under some kind of lack lustre construction with mattresses and dry wall piled on top of each other...not a welcoming sight as we walked to our room at the end of the hallway and also a very musty smell! Breakfast was less than satisfying as compared to other places we stayed at on our journey down the Garden Route. Stayed March 2017, travelled as a couple

    The rooms are revamped, all face the sea, flat screen TV and the best breakfast around. Here for the first time in a while i had a genuine poached egg perfectly presented. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the rooms all have a sea view and you feel as though you can reach out and touch the water. Soap, shampoo and shower caps are provided and the overall experience was great.

    The Hotel is beautifully located. There was building taking place and drilling and hammering could be heard throughout the day every hour. The food is reasonably priced and the staff were super friendly.

    I heard about the hotel from a friend and decided to check it out for myself. I was here on business and decided to stay at the hotel . From check in to check out the service from reception was excellent. The restaurant staff though few were very helpful and friendly at all times . The rooms were clean and newly renovated and the scene from the balcony further complimented the hotel.Well done to the chefs in the kitchen who made sure that the food was both well prepared and well presented at all times . To the hotel staff I want to say ,keep up the good work and I will be seeing you soon. Experience versus expectation ?? 100% worth the money spent

    Very friendly staff welcome upon arrival,And very speedy check in after a long journey on the road. The sea view rooms are breathtaking,with waves crashing right beneath your balcony and the fresh revitalizing feel of ocean mist while you relax with a full sea view!! The price includes breakfast and dinner in a relaxing environment inside hotel.Food is of an excellent quality.

    Hotel manned by a skeleton staff multi tasking ; terrible smell of damp & stale cooking; general run down appearance ;most staff helpful but we encountered a very rude chambermaid banging on the room door to demand a wet towel .24 hours later we were both struck down with fever . abdominal cramps & diarrhoea which persisted for the rest of our holiday. Oh dear!

    This was the best stay of my entire trip to South Africa.. we had been booked with this hotel by a travel agent. We had stayed here for maximum number of days. The connectivity of this hotel to all the activities around is very good. Most importantly, the breathtaking view from the room. The sunrise experienced in the morning is surreal and the tidal pool experience was something to remember for a lifetime. I strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting mossel bay for a leisure n peaceful stay.

    A very scenic view from the hotel and the cliff face. We want to come in April to view the Whales swim past. The dassies are so cute. In front of the hotel are natual beach pools that are quite safe for children to play in. The service and food was excellent.

    We travelled with gem tours and travels for South Africa tour. In the point hotel we enjoyed our stay for four days in July 2016. The hotel is situated on the seashore.. Our rooms were on third floor and sea facing . They had put many lighting on the sea shore so we could enjoy sea even during night time. We had our breakfast and dinner in the hotel. the food quality, quantity and varieties were very nice. we are vegetarian but there enough items were to our satisfaction. service was with smile. we will recommend to others and repeat our stay if possible

    Hi! Sooooo disappointed by our experience. This supposedly 4 star hotel obviously has not been rated recently. Except for the service and friendliness of 4 staff members ( Lanie, Lidia, Enslin and Lucretia ) nothing good can be said about anything or anyone else! Poor food, if there was anything left! Tables were not cleared in the dining room. You were lucky if there was seating available. Shortage of cutlery, crockery and linen. Rooms were filthy and often still not cleaned by 17hoo! Pick up your game

    First of all the hotel is located ideally within the cliffs of Mossel Bay. There is an ocean pool directly in front of the hotel as well as several restaurants nearby. However, the hotel is not achieving what I expect from a four star hotel. The interiour of the hotel as well as the rooms were a bit shabby and definitely need some maintenance and renovation works. Just to give an example: to close the door you needed to push the door at least at two different spots to get it into the door frame. Further, the room was not as clean as I would expect it to be in a hotel like this. I was also a bit confused by the army of moskitos that somehow made it to my bathroom even though the door was closed for the whole night. The breakfast buffet was more or less a standard one but not really exciting. To sum-up: I felt better and received more value for money, better service and better rooms in simple guest houses. There is definitely a lot of space to improve.

    Stayed for 3 nights. Staff were incredibly helpful in getting us rooms. Aircon and tv didn't work in the first room - Aircon is important during a December visit to Mossel Bay. Also breakfast "service" wasn't great - tables aren't cleared and cleaned and you end up having to clear a table from a previous guest yourself in order to then sit and have your breakfast. The bonus however is being right at The Point, with the swimming area right there and the most amazing views.

    Find another spot. Did not get what we booked and management did not care. December is money making. Zero customer focus. Worst experience ever in a hotel. Dreadful. Some staff were friendly, but moat do not care.

    Quite small hotel in the lobby. Rooms with fantasic sea view with a large balcony. Large and comfortable rooms. Ocean pool which was super. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Lots of excellent restaurants close to the hotel. Taxi distance to the city.

    I had the privilege to stay here for 2 glorious nights. To be in Mossel Bay is always electrifying, but to have slept here, was a thrill on it's own. The room was clean, neat and very comfy. Breakfast was as lovely as was the staff who served the breakfast. Helpful and friendly, is the words to describe my arrival experience. 10 out of 10

    I was at The Point hotel for the 1st time,I really enjoyed myself the service was very good,Staff are friendly,the room was beautiful,the view stunning and the food quality was wow,I was here with my family and they managed to accommodate the children also

    Hotel receptionist very friendly. However the room had much to be desired for: TV remote had no batteries and after 2 phone calls to report as no access to TV was possible - not sorted out and no apology. Air conditioning remote not working - also called with no response to batteries required for the remote. A musty smell permeates strongly in the room.

    Loving the new look of the renovated rooms.. fresh and stylish..breathing views of the Indian ocean and even spotted some whales from my room... dinner amazing... staff very attentive.. a must visit in the Garden route!! Will definately return!!

    Had a great time here, view is amazing, exceptional staff and service. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was included in the nights stay and was great, so many options and great value for money. Would definitely go back.

    The best part of staying here is the view you get from this hotel's balcony. The hotel is pocket - friendly as well. Please do go for nightwalk or early morning walk if you are staying here, it's quite amazing.
