We've been there several times for breakfast and lunch. Their portions are big! The service is fast and friendly! Our last visit was on St. Patrick's Day. The corned beef and cabbage was delicious!!

I looked for a spot half way to my daughters and found this gem in Montello. It has good reviews so here we are. First, our waitress is a 10. She is friendly, efficient and didn't rush us as we visited. We ordered onion straws, onion rings, broasted chicken dinner, bacon cheeseburger special, and a cup of chili. Everything was great and we finished it off with pies from the pie list. The prices are good and the atmosphere is open diner/cafe with just the right amount of background music and conversations.

We've been going to Sparks for years. It is actually about a half hour from us but we think it is worth the drive. The food comes out lightening fast. The wait staff is down to earth and attentive. The food is yummy and the prices are economical. It is very cafe/diner style. You may even be called "Honey". I don't know about you but I kind of like that.

We ate lunch at Sparks Grill on a roadtrip across the Midwest. It was very busy when we were there and prices were reasonable. Overall, it was nothing spectacular a standard small town diner. It was quite loud and chaotic and the food was alright for the price but far from the best meal I've had.

This is a great place for breakfast; we usually go on Sundays. They're usually quite busy, but they are very efficient, and breakfast is served pretty quickly (under 10 minutes). The food is always good, and we enjoy the wait staff.

Not electricians, but firemen. The grill is a bit misnamed as it is a very nice café with lots of home cooked dishes like beef roast and mashed potatoes. Salads are OK but certainly nothing fancy. You have to just enjoy the atmosphere of a small town eatery. Sara Lee Pound Cake French toast is the house breakfast specialty but having high cholesterol and a coronary incident in my past told me to pass on the opportunity. Prices are certainly reasonable if not cheap. Look at the firemen's patches on the walls for a quick trip around the U.S.

Sparks is a great place to go if you want to be treated good, have good food to eat and want to be waited on right away. They serve breakfast all the time. They also have full meals, sandwiches and soups on the menu, and we can't forget their desserts. Good hometown food. You won't be disappointed no matter what you order.

Food is always great, especially the eggs benedict and the grilled chicken & bacon sandwich. The real impressive feature is the staff. No matter how busy they are everyone has a smile & kind work and you don't have to wait long for your order. They are only open for breakfast & lunch but it's worth the trip.

When you walk in, you immediately get the old-diner feel of the place. It is not very large, but they pack a lot of tables in. I have only ever eaten breakfast here, and it is always excellent. They have average breakfast prices, with usually two or three specials that are a slightly better deal. Their breakfast sandwiches are very reasonably priced, under $4.00, and you can choose if you want a bagel, toast, biscuit, or English muffin. The bagel sandwiches with bacon are my favorite. Another must-try is their corned-beef hash, which they make homemade, down to the corned-beef itself. And their hash browns are excellent, very crispy and a generous portion. The food always comes out hot and fast, even for groups of six or eight. The restaurant staff is all very friendly, and there is a camaraderie among them that will make you feel right at home.

Looking for an old time greasy spoon diner. .. here it is. . Super fast and piping hot! All made from scratch. Suggestions. . The corned beef hash is to die for. Freshly carved corned beef, no canned stuff here. The sparks omelet is a wonderful surprise. Get extra hot peppers! The staff will bend over backwards for you. I even order grilled pickles. .they are not on the menu but they will cook them up all the same and serve with their special sauce. . One of a kind!
