Visiting my daughter, she took us here for lunch. So glad she did. The food is amazingly great. Reasonable priced, large servings, and yummy. Can't wait for my next visit to go here again.

Tasty and priced fairly. Even on a Friday night there was no waiting and plenty of seats inside and out. Food was great. Everyone in our group of five enjoyed their selections. Live music started about 7 and was nice. Will definitely go back next time in town.

Okay I pride myself in knowing the difference between crappy and amazing BBQ. This place by far is the best BBQ joint I've tried in SAtown. idk why it doesn't have a higher rating on TripAdvisor but it should. There is a lot of parking. They have a drive thru if you don't have time to stay and eat. They also have a back room where you can reserve for small events like a birthday party of get together. There is also a playground in the back patio which has enough seating for you and the family. Great selection of beers in bottles only. Non on tap. Condiments are free. I know some places charge extra for like jalapeños and and pickles. The brisket is good as well as the pork, sausage, and mac and cheese.

Well folks... I have been eating brisket in Texas for 60 years, and I can say, without question, that the best brisket for me is the moist (marbled) 100% Black Angus brisket at the Blanco BBQ. NO BBQ sauce is necessary to flavor the meat; it is VERY deliciously flavored just by itself. In addition to the delicious brisket, the Blanco BBQ of course has all the other meats you would expect in a good sized down home BBQ place... sausage, chicken, turkey, ham, catfish and more... the home made side dishes and desserts (their pecan pie is out of this world) are all the regulars and all are VERY good indeed, plus they have a huge selection of local and imported beers, some wines, and non-alcoholic beverages as well. The Blanco BBQ restaurant has a drive-thru, is well decorated with old gas pumps, cowboy movie posters, and more, and also has great western oriented music playing in the background. It has indoor and outdoor seating, a really big party room, a playscape for the kiddos, and some of the friendliest, most polite and helpful folks working there I have ever met. It is a delight to go there just because of the good folks there. And they have local bands playing there on weekends, with NO cover charge!

Stopped for breakfast. Great breakfast plate and tacos. Convenient drive thru. The brisket and ribs are also awesome along with all other meat. Large portions on the family orders. One of my favorite BBQ places

This is a great place. You can eat in place or take away food. As the name implies, their specialty is BBQ. My family ate brisket, sausage and ribs. Fantastic! The servings are large, and each dish is cooked to perfection. Side dishes are complimentary. Very informal. Great place for the family.

I had the pulled pork this time. It was great like all the other food I have had here. My wife and I come here often. It has gotten several food awards here in San Antonio.

I had seen several good reviews for Blanco BBQ so I was looking forward to this visit. I got the House plate with four small meats (two slices of ham, some brisket, sausage, and one pork rib). Every place seems to have a unique sausage, but this one was only unique in that it had two colors; outer and inner aspects - there was really no flavor. The brisket was moist, but I did notice them shaving the fat off the meat before slicing, but that results in most of the rub also being removed and there was little flavor to the brisket. The one pork rib was quite flavorful, although a little tough - I would get that again. The ham was boring. The tables are large wooden bench style affairs. You can either sit at a small table for two, or one that holds up to eight people, but then people on the end have to move so you can get out. It was quite crowded, the crowd reflecting the people who live in the area. It was also very noisy. There was a guy playing guitar and singing through a mike but you could rarely hear him because each table was shouting over the surrounding tables. I would only come back if I was in the immediate area. There are men busing the tables while you eat. Twice two different guys banged into my bench with their carts. It's not that there's not enough room between the tables, just that they don't seem to pay attention.

First visit and the food was awesome. Unfortunately the flies in Texas have taken over but. It restaurants fault. Hee hee. We were very impressed with the taste and quality. Kids play space was clean and fun and restaurant was top notch. Fun family environment.

The stff is very welcoming. Since is was our first time, they offered us samples of turkey and brisket. Both were delicious! Although it is a large place, the noise level was manageable.

Amazing & timely service, outstanding customer service, and super-delicious BBQ! Took the family out whilst visiting family in San Antonio and could not have enjoyed a better evening dinner! All 8 of us were happy, happy, happy! Delicious smoked chicken, sausage, turkey, brisket, and ribs! The kids really enjoyed the chicken tenders and the outdoors playset! Definitely going to stop here everytime I'm back in SA! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Blanco BBQ! You've got a customer for life!

Been here about a dozen times , they are very consistent from the minute you walk in the door. All the employees say hello and they smile when they do. The que is always tasty and has no need for sauce . The sides are nice the sweet tea is fresh. Ring the bell when you leave !!

We went to Blanco BBQ this week with my in laws and kids. 8 people total. We were there on a Monday at 5pm and it was pretty empty. We placed our order at the counter and then sat down at a table. The tables are like picnic benches and one table was big enough for 4 adults and 4 kids. The food was ready before we had even gotten our drinks! We got 1 pound each of brisket, turkey, and chopped beef. The brisket had both lean and less lean cuts. The turkey was awesome. The chopped beef was a little saltier and greasier than I prefer. It came with 8 pieces of bread. We also got a quart of mac and cheese, and a pint each of cole slaw and creamed corn. This was enough to feed all 8 of us plus some leftovers (my kids don't eat much though). The cole slaw is slightly sweet, the creamed corn is canned corn in a sweet sauce (good if you like canned corn), the mac and cheese is thick spirals in a very cheesy orange sauce (almost too cheesy if that is possible). The bbq sauce is a good slightly spicy Texas sauce. Don't forget to visit the pickles and onions bar. They have some interesting looking dilled onions at it. Bathrooms were easy to find and clean. Decor is cool. Now to the best part, an awesome playscape outside! There are tables out there too so you can eat and watch your kids play. An overall great visit for us. In laws gave it an A plus.

We ate here last night. I like everything about this place. Great smoked meats... the turkey was my favorite, so juicy and tender. Good sides and dessert. Great family friendly atmosphere. Musical entertainment by some really talented gentlemen. Pleasant staff. I think they are hitting it on all cylinders!

If you want reasonable BBQ this place has it. Full menu and lots of options. It does not compare to the many smaller legendary pit BBQ spots doted throughout the hill country......but for a large venue in town.....it will satisfy.

It was Friday lent. I will give benefit of the doubt. Tried it all. Even Catfish. Moist Brisket was dry. Sausage fair. Pulled pork was not good, dried out. Hard. Ham was good. Pork ribs cardboard. Catfish was good. Sides were excellent. Drink station was a mess. Condiments good. Don't like smoking machines. Only one way to do it right. Slow and manual. Nice place. Nice ambiance. Live music. Good tea. You judge. That's just one opinion.

we tried all the different bbg, each person got something different, turkey, brisket, sausage, and everything was good! even the Mac and cheese was good, they had huge sinks full of ice cold beers and sodas, the fried mushrooms were huge but alittle too peppery for my taste but I I would go back again!

Everything here is good. We were elated to have a good BBQ place open close to our house & have not been disappointed. We especially love the chicken & all of the sides are good too. The BBQ is always moist- never dry. We recently discovered the catfish since it is Lenten season, and it was delicious and the portions were huge. Also carry a large selection of beers- iced down in tubs. There is seating indoors or outside in front on a large covered deck, or you can eat outside in back at the tables over-looking the large kid's playground. On the weekends there is live music too. Don't miss this place for a great dinner in a family-friendly atmosphere.
