If you don’t have time to go hunting for your favorite bird for dinner tonight, Bird Café, overlooking the newly developed Sundance Square, has exactly what you’re looking for: a meat-driven menu.

Bird Cafe is a bit unique. It is right on Sundance Square, so it's very convenient to everyone visiting downtown. Structure is a renovated building which adds to its charm. The day we ate there was a dog adoption day where the encouraged do adoption and welcomed dogs dressed in rather amusing outfits. The restaurant itself has a good, though not extensive menu. The wait staff was attentive and the food was good. Highly recommend thi splace for those who want something outside the ordinary steakhouse or chain restaurant

Nice location for Brunch fare and outdoor dining with a view. Right on Sundance square. I had the excellent "Bad As Bacon Waffle". Be careful where you park as there are some rip-off spots down there for parking. Service really could not have been better. Plenty of indoor dining room as well.

Helpful Hint - MUST make Brunch reservations on the Weekend (we had to eat at the bar... but the bartender was busy, yet fairly attentive) Tasty Food

Went here with a couple of colleagues, including my boss, and it was great. Casually sophisticated without any pretense. And the food was best I had in Ft. Worth this week. Loved it.

Our waiter was very attentive and had a good sense of humor and could recommend foods because he had tasted them. We were served a double portion of bread pudding though we only placed one order. Incredible! It had bacon grease and caramel on top. Sounds strange but it was the perfect compliment. The artwork of birds painted by the Gentling brothers were outstanding. The owner had a tremendous collection that were hung on the walls of this two story historic restaurant. Bird Café is located on Sundance Square.

Sat at the bar. Food was really good and they have an amazing beer selection. Right on the square where there is always a lot going on. Really nice and it was packed.

Went to Bird Cafe on recommendation from a local. Food, service and location were terrific. Homer, our server, was delightful and helpful. I had the cucumber and goat cheese sandwich, which was the best thing I have eaten in a month! My friends had the roast chicken and a burger, loved them. Freshly brewed iced tea was perfect. Stopped for cookies at Tollhouse across the street on our way out - yum.

The wife and I recently came here for a quick dinner prior to attending a musical at Bass Hall. We were quickly greeted and seated, although it was a Friday night. Great wine list, and extensive menu. She ordered the Steak Friettes, and I the Skirt steak.....Food and service is excellent, and only one block from Bass Hall ! I highly recommend Bird Cafe.

I was in town for a conference and came here for dinner one night with a friend. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. They had a nice patio area, but we sat inside due to the heat. They had a nice drink/wine menu and a menu with a lot of great options. We decided to get 4-5 small plates to share between us - all were very good. There were a couple of larger parties in the restaurant and they all seemed to be happy with the restaurant.

We sat on the patio, overlooking Sundance Square, we just had drinks and appetizers. Our server was attentive and the drinks were good! The menu is interesting. If you like gastropubs and trendy food this will be the place for you. We did find some appetizers that we enjoyed. My Bird Mule drink was outstanding!

Our server was friendly and had great suggestions - four of us had really good food before seeing Beautiful at the Bass. The building is done beautifully inside with great outside seating - another nice Shannon Wynne option.

We are so happy after just a wonderful experience tonight. We enjoyed the wait staff Zac and chef Scott. Their parings were just great. You can eat small or large!!! I just don't know why you would go to a chain when this jewel sits right there next to bass hall. I can go on and on. Will be back shortly to get some more after this wonderful experience. Will Make sure each season we visit as the menu changes. Please I have a lot of reviews here trust me and my lovely wife this is worth the try especially before you try a larger chain restaurant. Mussels yum! Root mash yum! Etc.

This restaurant is in the perfect location - Sundance Square. You can eat outside on the patio overlooking the water fountains and it's right across from Bass Hall. I love the decor but it's the menu that is just so darn trendy. We tried brunch because we thought that it would be the best way to try the menu but it was just okay. There were four of us and we all had the same opinion. Again, I want to like this place because everything about it is so appealing - just not the menu. I know lots of people that like it so I would say, check out the menu and take it from there.

What a delicious and usual meal we had at the Bird Cafe! I love the varied menu that changes with the seasons, with plenty of culinary adventure for the daring (fried chicken skin! :) The ambiance is fabulous, especially from the terrace that overlooks Sundance Square. Can't wait to go back!

Buck is an awesome bartender to watch! His drinks are some of the best I've ever had. Their bloody marys are so spicy and delicious. He also made the best Old Fashioned I've ever tasted as well. The brunch was delicious, portions are enormous. Go early if you are going for brunch. We arrived at 11 am right before the crowd came. Located right in Sundance square, their patio is on the square with a great view.

Bird Cafe is across the street from Bass Hall, a major venue for everything from opera to touring Broadway shows. The ambience is airy and sophisticated (in a good-natured way). The food is consistently tasty, interesting, well-prepared, and attractively presented. Waitstaff is friendly and helpful. Terrific bar (bars don't usually impress me, but Bird's is open, comfortable, and easy to spend time in). The place is simply delightful. You'll like it.

The bird mules were the highlight of the night. The drink menu had several other specials that looked good to but I didn't get a chance to try. The food overall was average. The mussels and ahi were my two favorites. The fried chicken skins got good reviews from some of my friends but I wasn't to excited about them. Good atmosphere and fairly quite so it's easy to talk if you have a bigger party.

We dined here on a Sunday evening and seated well inside the main dining room. The food was pretty good, however, we were under constant attack by aggressive flies, gnats and other insects. We called our server over for assistance. She said ‘they were not allowed to kill the flies’. We asked ‘how do they rid the kitchen of flies’? No response…….. This attitude raises many questions about sanitation that make dining here questionable.
