House of Vans is hosting a party at the Mohawk, and this is the day to go. Starting at noon, check out the live painting in this awesome space, and don't miss the Motorhead show!

I was at SXSW 2017 representing a band from Brazil called FingerFingerrr. This night i'm attending to Mohawk to saw The Black Angels and Temples, and for my surprise At The Drive-In plays a secret concert, marvelous night!!!

In the process of finding new live music, I strolled on over towards The Mohawk after finding a gem of a band. The staff is super kind and helpful, especially with patrons with special needs. And its also not far from public transit stops. A bit small, but its also effective in its intimacy. I love going to this venue.

This bar had a "take the Mike" comedy night with local comedians. It's an "interesting" place. We sat indoors on picnic tables. I'm not complaining (try not to need to go to the bathroom) it's just a little edgy. I loved it and we had a great time.

My first visit to the Mohawk was nothing short of entertainment. I used to hear about the Mohawk before I knew I was moving to Austin and finally had a chance to check it out. I didn't get to check out the venue before its remodel but from what I hear, the floor plan is much better now. The outside stage is most impressive with several balcony levels overlooking the stage, one of them from which you can watch the band from above side stage. Their green room/band room is a chill lounge above the inside stage that opens up to the top balcony level to the outside venue. A mix between old brick, bar with fireplace and paintings/old photographs of men rocking beards and mustaches (I hear there used to be more), dim lighting and traces of old band posters and stickers on the walls outside definitely make this place! Not to mention the amazing sound and professional staff.

First of all, I'd like to mention that I've been all around the nation's live music scene. Some places have been grimey, some bare and some that both boys and girls alike can enjoy. Really enjoyed the various perspective spots in this venue.

Loved the music, people and atmosphere at the Mohawk. We visited mid week so it was not packed. It was easy to get drinks, see the bands and have a great time. it has lots of different areas and bars if you need a break from the music. A great spot to catch some live music.

My fiancé and I traveled to Austin from New Orleans specifically to see a metal show at the Mohawk. It is definitely one of the cooler venues that I've been to. The layout is awesome and the tiered balconies provide lots of space with great views of the stage, which I really appreciate because I'm on the short side. The place was packed but we were able to get a couple of beers pretty quickly and the bartender was kind enough to answer our (quick, but) annoying touristy questions about local beers. We had a great time!

They have plenty of bars, great areas for conversation or just watching the music. Overall I've loved this place for years, but it just keeps getting better with age.

I attended the Come and Shave It event this past weekend, which ran from 12-??? at Mohawk. The bartenders, doormen, bouncers, etc all were very easy to deal with, and they seemed to take great care of the patrons. It's a good place for a wild bunch of people.

Caught Reverend Horton Heat and an opening band called the Bellrays last weekend on a cold rainy night. Didn't realize it was an outside venue!!! No worries, because there were places to hunker down, take a listen and enjoy a nice, warming toddy. Bartenders were friendly, but more importantly, efficient. Run a tab with one, and you're linked in with all the bars there. It's a very cool layout that I bet is most enjoyable in the warmer, sunnier weather. We'll be back to check it out on one of those days. Oh, and Jim Heath ruled.

I come to The Mohawk in February for the Austin Beard and Moustache Competition, but apparently they have a wide variety of other interesting live events that happen here too. Friendly staff, interesting decor (stuffed real bear for example), outdoor stage and patios to provide a variety of different places to hang out and socialize with the many fascinating people that I always meet here.

We went to The Mohawk on Red River to see the Avenue F band. We walked in out of the cold weather and there was a fireplace just to the right across from the bar. So we got a table by it to warm up. Next we ordered our drinks and our 6 got 3 Irish coffees, some wine and beers. I watched the bartender make the Irish coffee and it was spot on. My date said it was terrific and the wine and beer was fine. Behind the bar is the smaller stage of the 3 stages and that is where the Avenue F band kicked it and gave a great show. The band is a local Austin band of U.T. musicians who are outstanding in their harmonies and improvisations. It was a fun gig with 2 singers and a 7 piece band. Give Mohawk credit for making every band and fans feel welcome. And with great bartenders and a nice fireplace it is a fun place to hang out for music.

Great show at The Mohawk! LOVED the outdoor aspect of the venue and the attached bar. The view behind the stage adds to the atmosphere and it was easy to see (even if you're short). The only downside was the prices for beer, but I only paid $25 for my ticket anyways so I wasn't too upset.

I caught the Man Man show in August and it was my first show on the big stage at this venue. It was a great experience. It was pretty hot outside but with a completely open air venue it never gets stuffy or too uncomfortable. There are also elevated areas to give a very good birds eye view of the stage if you don't want to be too close. There are plenty of bars so that you won't have to go upstairs/downstairs/repeat to get another drink. I'd certainly go to another show there.

Was in Austin on a business trip and this music venue/bar was recommended by the hotel. Happy I took them up on their recommendation, as it was a great place to watch live music and have a few beers. Cover charge was reasonable given the numerous live acts they had lined up for the night.

In one of the best atmospheres of a pub/club venue that I've been too, my wife and I saw AFI, Touche Amore, and Coming at the Mohawk. With tiered layers, and multiple places to purchase drinks, this is the perfect places to be entertained.

Just saw The Bouncing Souls at the Mohawk. Great smaller venue with indoor and outdoor stages. Kind of a smaller version of Stubb's with better outdoor viewing. Indoor and outdoor bars as well as multiple sitting areas, including a rooftop deck and bar. Drink specials and happy hours daily. No wimpy cocktails either. Nice!
