Vegetarians in Memphis know that an elegant vegetable plate for lunch is not an easy score. Happily, the chefs at Interim caress seasonal vegetables into combinations such as this springtime favorite.

This was our first visit. It was our monthly ladies night. We had a wonderful time!! Our waiter Bud was truly an expert. He knew the menu inside and out. His recommendations were wonderful. The desserts were wonderful I had the vegetable plate and normally vegetable plates are boring or standard fare but the cauliflower was so delicious. The potato and leek soup was velvety smooth. We sampled burgers, fish, potato soup and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED. By the way Bud they do have the best fries, you were right. The executive chef, David Krog, came to our table and spent time conversing with us. I love Erling Jensen but I'm adding another favorite to my list - Interim. Great service, delicious food!

This is a 5 star shirt and tie establishment with top notch service. The staff are very knowledgeable while at the same time having a laid back with a very comfortable yet professional attitude. They had many great selections as well as suggestions on wine and were knowledgable when talking about the flavors. The entrees were fabulas. I ordered the beef fillet cooked to perfect specifications. It had that nice flavored crisp on the outside thick juicy warm center, served with an augratin and feta potato hashbrowns, it was ultimately spectacular. They do have items less complicated on the menus for teens and children but the quality is well worth the price. I will recommend this establishment to anyone.

I do not usually write about mediocre meals. There were two outstanding aspects, our waitress and dessert . My wife ordered a tomato basil soup. It was very thick. The flavor was god, It was like eating tomato paste with a spoon. Would make a good spaghetti sauce but there were no noodles. When the waitress took it off the table with 1/4 eaten, no questions were asked. Next was the beef carpacio. First time out it was more fat than meat. Second time out it looked good but had minimal flavor. Next came salads. My Ceaser was good but nothing special. My wife's tomato salad lacked the balsamic vinaigrette. After bringing this to the managers attention, balsamic vinaigrette was brought to the table and made the beef edible. Lastly my filet was flavored well but under cooked. It was a very small steak for the price. Vegetables and potatoes with the meal were better than the steak. The manager and staff were very nice and apologetic for the food but did not offer even a complimentary desert Lastly we had dessert. The warm chocolate cake was fantastic. Happy Anniversary to us!

My wife and I had lunch there this past week. Both the service and food were top-notch. Since my wife is a "Memphis vegetarian" (she'll eat BBQ), she got the shrimp and grits. They were excellent. And the collards on them should become a side dish of their own. My Cuban sandwich was excellent as well. We have eaten here several times and will be back soon. Keep up the good work!

We have enjoyed this restaurant many times over the years. Recently though we enjoyed the outstanding meatballs served as an appetizer. Wow! So good. Service is always excellent and food is always fresh and well prepared. It is fun to watch the open kitchen.

I visited Interim with a group of friends for Sunday brunch. The service was impeccable. We were seated immediately (we called ahead for reservations), drinks were fetched promptly, orders taken in a timely manner, and food delivered quickly. I had the shrimp and grits - they were not the best I've ever had, but they were good enough that I considered licking the plate. ;-) The mimosas were also very good! I will definitely go back. Anxious to see what else they have to offer!

I had lunch with my friend on a Friday. The place was packed but not over crowded that you can still enjoy talking. Service was superb. My friend had their 'famous' burger and she let me had a piece. Our verdict was okay and too pricey for $16. I tried their Cuban sandwich and soup of the day which were perfect. I surely be coming back.

My wife and I recently had lunch with a friend at Interim. We had asked for a table where we could talk and were given one. One of us had the lunch special--excellent choice, portions were small and everything well done. The daily soup special--butternut squash, was superb. The veggie plate was done well--good assortment and not cooked to death. Service was nonintrusive but attentive. Interim is the perfect spot for a good lunch--excellent food and service, space to visit and a comfortable ambience.

I went to Interim with a business group. It was a large party (25) which the restaurant handled very well. I had the special - striped bass that was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce. I also had a memorable spinach salad. Others' dishes looked tempting (lamb, filet mignon) and our desserts were excellent as well. Our servers were attentive, personable and knowledgeable. And they have a nice selection of wines by the glass or bottle. I'd recommend it for a nice dinner and the bar looked great, too.

Interim is a trendy East Memphis restaurant. Since I'd heard so much about the place, we finally decided to give it a try. We and our guests arrived around 7:00 on a Friday night and were seated at our reserved table in the bar area immediately. Our server promptly appeared to take our drink order. They arrived quickly and we also ordered the cheeseboard appetizer. The three cheeses were delicious as were the condiments. I'd never had pickled white strawberries before and can say they were excellent. My husband ordered the short ribs while I had the duck breast. Our guests had the rack of lamb and the pork tenderloin with apple demi-glace. The ribs were so tender, my husband didn't even use his knife. My duck was slightly overcooked, but still delicious. It came with a deep fried cornbread pudding and braised greens. Now, I'm not much of a turnip green fan, but holy cow, were these ever good. I have no idea what they were braised in, but they were beyond delicious. Our friends called their entrees the best they'd ever eaten. To top off the meal we ordered several desserts. Fantastic! There wasn't a crumb left. The kitchen was a little slow, but it was Friday night and the place was full. I highly recommend reservations. The main dining room is spacious and it has an open kitchen concept where diners can see the meals being prepared. All in all, this was a great experience and though it is expensive, we will be back.

Have been hear several other times and it was good. This time it was great. I heard they got a new chef since we were last here. We both had the beet salad, the dressing was light and tasty. My filet was amazing, the sauce on it was REALLY good and the roasted veggies it came with were delicious and crispy. I'm usually not a fan of cheesy potatoes because they are too heavy but these were good! My husband had the scallops and he really enjoyed his meal as well. We both felt like this was one of the best meals we have had in town in awhile!

I went with a friend for lunch and upon her recommendation, I got the burger and a salad. I don't know what kind of beef they have or where they get it, but it had the best flavor of any burger I've had. Supposedly there is no seasoning on it or marinade or sauce, so it is just the flavor of the beef. The restaurant is very nice but not stuffy. Service was friendly and I liked being able to look into the kitchen as food was prepared. The weekday we were there, the other diners looked to be business people.

Delightful and elegant decor with excellent menu and presentation. Chuck gave us excellent service as well as accommodating our special requests for changes. Good wine list and many selections. Put this one on the top of your list and save room for dessert, too. We had The Fall, which Chuck recommended and it was delicious. Between Chuck and his trainee, Darren, we had every need met. Delightful, delovely and delicious! Fabulous evening did our first night in Memphis!

Really great fish at lunch! Fresh Gulf Redfish over pesto linguine with black mussels. I cleaned my plate! My friend had some sort of combo plate they offer with a soup, sandwich and dessert which he seemed to enjoy. My colleague and I sat at the bar, the service was professional and friendly. We were served by the woman who use to run Jarretts restaurant. She gave us the remote control to the TV...nice. We will be back to try dinner.

Visited Interim on Valentines night as guests of another couple; our first time there. We didn't realize the holidays menus were pre-fixe. The choices accommodated everyone at our table. It was very busy, but we were greeted promptly and given a very informative overview of the evenings selections. Two of us chose the wine pairing that were chosen by the chef. There were four courses for $65 and the 4 wine pairings was only an additional $25. The brandiedmushroom soup was velvety smooth with great depth of flavor, the large Prawn over low country rice with some type of tomato cream was amazing. There were four entree choices, so we each got one; the fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly, as were the filet and lamb. My only slight misgiving was too much salt in the sauce. The wine pairings were very well done. We were served by Barbara, who was very knowledgeable and quite funny, but she explained that the staff work as a team to give we customers the best service. Overall it was an an exceptional experience. Well done!

We went for Sunday brunch this weekend. The crab cakes were fantastic, big lumps of sweet crab and not a lot of binder. They made the crab the star of the dish, and the slightly spicy smoked tomato sauce was delicious. We had the Interim burger, it is a consistent winner. There are no fries anywhere in town that can hold up to Interim's! For dessert we shared a decadent warm chocolate cake with vanilla gelato, YUM! Dianne our server was extremely pleasant and professional. If you're looking for a relaxed brunch with outstanding food and service, make Interim a regular stop.

We stopped going last year because the food had become mediocre, as was the attitude of the management. On a whim, we went back last night. New chef, new management. New attitude! First, I mistakenly made my reservation for the wrong night, but there we were with a group of six. And I was freaking out, but the manager and hostess were so calm, they made me feel welcome, and on a busy Friday night, they said "give us 5 minutes, we can work this out". And they did. We had a wonderful dinner, the drinks are very generous (COLD martini!) and the food came out perfect and hot. Our server was kind, patient and had a smile in her voice, she was lovely. The salmon was perfect, so was the halibut. Prices are very good for such a nice restaurant. Everyone was very pleased. I can't wait to return soon!

Interim is a nicely appointed restaurant and almost every table has a view of the cooking area. Upon entering there's a well stocked bar with seating and some high top tables along the wall. We were there to celebrate New Year's Eve with some friends. Interim offered a fixed price menu with three choices of appetizers and main courses and one dessert. The food was tasty but the portions seemed small. The service was very good. The fixed price was high for what was offered. We'll go back during a non-holiday time to try their regular menu. New Year's Eve or Valentine's day is not the best time to be judging a restaurant.
