If cremeux (a lovely French word that means creamy) seems an incongruous pairing with artichoke, remember how artistry and invention team up at Acre.

It is a nice location: comfortable and quiet. Some of the items are delicious, particularly several of the appetizers and desserts. However, the entrees were a disappointment. Three of us received steaks at the wrong temperature. The food in general is good, but not for that steep price.

I recently ate at Acre with two other business associates. We had reservations, which I think is necessary for this popular restaurant. The atmosphere was casually elegant, and the wait staff was very helpful, informed, and pleasant. The food quality was superb, and all three of us enjoyed our meal. Two of us had seafood, which was fresh and not overcooked. The third had the pork dish, which he relished and finished. We did not feel hurried or hassled, but the staff was attentive when necessary. All in all, a great meal.

My dear friend and I decided to give ourselves a girls-only lunch and chose this place based on previous reviews. It was a quiet, rainy day, and as the trees dripped crystal drops outside, we enjoyed a beautiful, simple lunch. I chose the sweet corn soup and she had the mixed salad. We shared the grilled medjool dates. Each of us thought the dishes were well-prepared, and tasty. Serve was good, though somewhat slow.

The restaurant has a good reputation and a loyal following. I recently worked with Chef Andrew on catering services for a small event. Chef Andrew was very helpful, very professional and very accommodating about our needs. My experience was consistent with their reputation. I am sure the restaurant would be a pleasure, too.

This is a beautiful restaurant in a superbly renovated house...rustic, yet sophisticated. The menu is diverse with a Southern Cuisine bent. We started with Mixed Green Salads and followed with entrees of Atlantic Black Bass, Grilled Duck Breast...maybe the best I have ever eaten...and the In-House Dry-Aged Ribeye. My duck was perfectly cooked on the rare side, my request, and served with collard greens and navy beans. It doesn't get any better than that! There were clean plates all around with raves among us all. We shared the Almond Cake with Pears and Honey-Ricotta Ice Cream for dessert. The cake was light as a feather and luscious with the ice cream. If we lived in Memphis, we would eat here often...highly recommended!

Had a nice business lunch here. The location is great and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Only downside was thecwait time. Despite the fact that the place was only one third full, the food took quite a while. Could be an issue if you are in a hurry. Otherwise very good.

This was my favourite meal in Memphis this trip. The restaurant was beautiful. The food was delicious! I had the crab cake for an appetizer. I had the duck for my main course. I would order both again. The restaurant has a beautiful patio. I think I will sit out there the next time that I go back.

We had lunch at Acre and it was very tranquil. The interior design is sophisticated and encourages you to stay longer than anticipated. Also, the windows that seep sunlight in and the yard outside make it feel very comfortable. The food was excellent. But, the atmosphere is the selling point!

Near Theater Memphis. In a refurbished house. Plenty of Parking. Beautiful courtyard. Yummy food. Good drinks. Great place to eat before or after a performance at Theater Memphis.

Coming from New Orleans, my wife and I are culinarily spoiled. But the food at Acre was a real breath of fresh air! The overall experience is fantastic, near perfect; the kimchi fries and gnocchi are worth a special trip back to Memphis. What I really enjoyed about Acre was the flavorful food without the overuse of flavor smoke screens (I.e., the food was not over spiced or buttered). There were no gimmicks, just a well thought out and prepared menu. Refreshing. Well done, Acre !!!!

Tonight Acre delighted our party of four. The restaurant is beautifully situated in a park like setting. We were seated by the window in a simple but elegant room. Service was first rate, the dinners were prepared to perfection. Acre provided a wonderful welcome back to Memphis and is on Par with the best restaurants in our current home in the DC area. Definitely a destination restaurant if you visit Memphis!

This restaurant is one of my all time favorites. Everything I've had was sensational. Their food is modern, delicious, and innovative. They have so many new items on their menu and the entire atmosphere is great. I recommend everyone try this restaurant, it's literally one of the best places in Memphis.

Great food! Great atmosphere! The only way I can fathom this restaurant not having a higher ranking on Trip Advisor is that not enough people have been to it and posted a comment. The location is tucked away and off the beaten path, but definitely worth finding!

Memphis is lucky to have a place like this! Great atmosphere, great drinks, and great food that caters to a variety of dietary restrictions and palettes. The service was great too--especially because sometimes upscale restaurants are weird about making any sort of substitutions, but our waiter at Acre was happy to make any changes to a drink or any substitutions to an order with no problem. Overall a great experience, and our group did not find the price tag to be outrageous at all. We got drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert for three people for $200. Highly recommend! Just don't get hit trying to turn into their parking lot off Perkins!

Beautiful place.. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the grilled duck. My husband enjoyed the Salmon and it was very tasty too. Kind of hidden location. Look for the yellow door!

Acre was a fabulous dining experience. The atmosphere, in what appears to be an old house, is comfortable, quite and relaxing. The menu is quite varied, accommodating different tastes. Their wine list is extensive. The food was unique and well prepared. The sides are well pared with the dishes. There are a variety of fabulous deserts. Their version of bread pudding was delicious. The service was impeccable and prompt. A little tricky to get to but there is valet parking. The place is pricey but worth it for special occasions or a nice getaway. Three friends and I recently visited Acre at the recommendation of one of them. We were surprised to get a reservation on short notice, so made our way to this tucked away place in a nice residential neighborhood. Starting with the first course, we all tried different things. The diver scallops, octopus, clams and pork belly, and salads were excellent and prepared fresh. The most surprising thing to adorn the table was the fresh bread. Absolutely fresh and a meal by itself. From there, we had desserts and they were also delicious. Since we did not order a main course, we didn't complete dining experience we should have, but we will go back one day and hope we can like it as much.

Well, if you are lucky enough to find this place, it's hidden on South Perkins and it's in a residential place so it's easy to get lost for 20 minutes making u turns trying to find it, it's not exactly lit up with signs, and they are not advertising it per se, then you pull in a large space and park. The restaurant is immediately warm and inviting. I had the salad and salmon, but the portions are real small so I left hungry wanting more. But the service is good and the lighting, atmosphere (in a wooden space with tall ceiling) is good.
