Wonderful place for casual dining or special events. The food and the service was fantastic. The eggplant appetizer is among our favorites. With lots of competition in the area they seem to separate themselves with very good, consistent food and fabulous service. Thank you for making our anniversary special.

This was my first trip to the area and I happened upon The Twisted Vine while wandering through town. Even though my visit was on a Saturday night, I was greeted and seated quickly. The menu was fairly basic - not hipster food - but certainly more sophisticated than a regular bar and grill. I got a somewhat elevated meatloaf served with mashed potatoes. Good enough - I'd get it again. My dining companion got a roasted pork special that was also good. The server was fast, friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean, comfortable and pleasant to be in. The food was good. The prices were very reasonable and portions were generous. All said, the experience was satisfying.

We have bypassed this restaurant for almost a year now. The other night we decided to try it after work (815 pm) and it was great! Not only did they not treat us as if we were coming in so late in the evening but the food was sooo good. I had a Greek salad and the tuna appetizer both as a meal and I would get the same again. My boyfriend ordered the filet caprese without tomatoes and he loved it too. So glad we gave it a chance! We will be back!

So they have tappy hour 4-6 and we indulged on oysters, seared tuna and eggplant. All were excellent and they offer several wines for $5 a glass during tappy hour and draft beers for $3. Cozy ambiance inside with the white lights and fireplace and about 4 or so outside tables as well to chose from.

We had gone there for a birthday dinner celebration, and ended up hitting Trivia Night and staying longer, having an absolute blast! Dinner was delicious (I had the short rib special and loved it!). Our server Cecile was very personable, efficient, and had great recommendations! We'll definitely be going back!

We have frequented this place when looking for a night out for drinks and apps. Good selection, good service and nice ambiance.

The Twisted Vine offers a very different dining experience. The food, service and atmosphere are all a perfect combination. Always have great food here and look forward to our return!

Buy CALAMARI. They have several different presentations or flavors but the marinara is awesome. Don't leave without trying it.

Don't judge a place by its facade. Kind of surprising. Seems like it should have been better. Food was mediocre. Service slow and not attentive. Adult beverages overpriced and poor (the kind of place where you order beer or shots). Plenty of other better options nearby.

Went for dinner with Saturday night reservations. Were ignored for a few minutes while standing at the door. When seated we had the smallest table up against a wall. Many other tables available, but hostess said they didn't have enough help that night to seat us elsewhere? Menu was very limited and expensive for what the selection was. Beer selection was also limited and very expensive. Don't think we will re-visit!

Very comfortable and attractive atmosphere and large enough that it's easy to walk in and get a table (a big plus in Westerly in August!). Waitstaff very friendly and attentive even though we were just about the last diners of the night. Was probably the best dinner we had in Westerly, surprisingly enough, and priced well. Drinks were good also and there are a few local wines on the menu. The one off note was that they did push the drinks a bit.

We took a group of friends to the Twisted Vine last night and it was a huge hit. It was our second time there and we have already talked about going back. They have fantastic drink specials. My husband and I indulged in lemon basil martinis last night which were yummy. We shared a plate of calamari that was a little over done, but still tasty. My husband had Cod Picatta, which was a special and I had (again) the steak and watermelon salad. Yum! Our service was a little slow last night, as our waitress seemed distracted. The menu is short but everything is unique and delicious. Be sure to check out the sandwiches! Yes, they take reservations.

We have been here many times and have always been pleased. This is a beautiful space. Brick walls, wood floors, pendent lights, high ceilings, you will swear you are in Chicago Or San Francisco. A very metro vibe, throw in some eagle tunes, comfy seating and your ready. Lots of choices here. Outside cafe style, a gorgeous bar, numerous seating choices. Mour favorite has been around the fire place in an over sized chair. We have done the drinks and App thing, the dinner and Holloween party, lots of different food choices, good drinks, a nice wine portfolio and plenty of draft beer. Service is friendly attentive and efficient. What else is there?

It was a wonderful summer's eve. Westerly was featuring the Summer Pops in the park, the people were out and it just called for light dinner and The Twisted Vine has a lovely interior design and decor as well as a wonderful outdoor seating area just off the sidewalk. We sat outside and greeted friends as they walked by. After several visits to our table to see if we were ready to order our server also asked for cocktails, not once though suggesting an appetizer to munch while our ladies decided. The menu choices are average with little creativity but executed well enough you left satisfied but underwhlemed..

Went for lunch on Saturday afternoon. Place was empty but looked so pretty. After we took our seats we immediately heard a baby screaming. We looked around and one of the waitresses was seated at a table towards the back with the baby. Then she walked around the dining room trying to calm the baby. While we looked over the menu an older couple came up with a ladder and some balloons to decorate the front windows. Very strange to be doing this while people are having lunch and it's not a balloon kinda place! Looks more upscale, not the place with the mouse and cheese. It really took away from the dining ambiance. Our wine came and both were good. The lunch was excellent. I had the burger with couscous and my friend had the fish tacos, which were also excellent. We usually enjoy a second glass of wine or coffee after lunch but it wasn't a welcoming dining experience so we left and went elsewhere. Shame, the place is lovely, nice hardwood floors, beautiful bar, good food, our waitress was nice but the baby and balloons ruined it. Not sure I will return.

I don't get it. The food is awesome, the prices are great... Especially during happy hour Tues-Fri 4-6pm, and the servers are friendly and expedient. This is a gem... Unknown maybe? Please go... You won't be disappointed!!!

Love this restaurant in the heart of downtown. Food is fresh and excellent quality. On weekends there is a dj there. Nice to sit and relax next to the fire place!

Went back to this restaurant with another couple for the first time since my last visit 1 1/2 years ago. It was as good this time as our last visit. The four of us enjoyed our meals and various dishes. I had the liver and onions with mashed and it was very good. That dish is not very common these days and I enjoyed it. (A bit of bacon would have made it great!) Everyone enjoyed the various entrees so much that we planned a return visit the next night because each of us found one or more entrees we wanted to have. Sadly it was closed for a private party. (It was a quiet Sunday night, so I don't think that is a frequent occurrence, but if you find it closed, try 84 Canal close by. See my review)

On Sunday night there were 5 women total in our little group who came in for drinks and dinner. I had been there before and was bringing in 4 newbies to have a nice evening. We arrived at 5:30 and ordered a round of drinks and decided that we were going to have dinners and not do the apps special. let me clarify that it was not very busy there must have only been 5 or so tables with folks and may be 7 at the bar. The wait staff we had was doubling as that bar tender for the night and the older woman who was there had most of the tables. We all got our drinks and they were very good. The problem came with out meals that took a long time to come and in fact other tables who were seated after us received their meals/apps before us. When the older woman(who was unhappy to be there by the look on her face) brought out our meals, decided that it was okay to not bring out all of the meals to us before she went to one of "her" tables to get their order to them. We could see the rest of our food sitting in the window waiting to be served. In fact that server went into the kitchen to get her tables food for her guests over looking our food. My Cuban Pork dinner was luke warm at best and asked for it to be heated, they did take the plate back and "heated the plate" in the oven and it was back with in 2 minutes plate hot food no difference. All of our food was cold and one of us had fries that were cold. Poor Poor service!!! then the best part was it was about 8:30 and we were seated by the back door and the two kids from the kitchen decide that it was a great time to roll the garbage cans out through the restaurant and behind us were we were seated to take it out for the night...they close on Sundays at 10:00 pm. Will have to think hard about going again and was embarrassed to take my friends to this really cool bar in Westerly that I was excited to go to since the last time I was there it was a good time and fresh hot food. The older wait person was miserable and they never came back to ask see if we needed anything else like more drinks, or dessert. Just plopped the check down like we were being asked to leave. If you don't want to be to work then don't come in and be miserable and make it miserable for others.

I have visited the Twisted Vine many times and every time l have found the food to be outstanding, reasonably priced, and the service top notch. The seafood pasta dish is amazing and the happy hour appetizers are excellent... Especially the lamb meatballs and the Tuscan white bean dip with crostini... And such a deal too... 4-6pm I highly recommend it... It is the best kept secret in Westerly, RI!
