A lower east side relic. If you haven't been here, I don't get it.

We went to the East Village for some drinks and to lap up the cool trendy vibes you only get in that part of town. After drinks at a hidden Speak Easy bar PDT we came across David's cafe. Inside you are enveloped in the best mix of warmth, cool design and really friendly staff. Small tables of Formica are dotted throughout from the large windows to the depths of the restaurant alongside the bar. A gorgeous and charming waitress served us and we felt like old friends in no time. We ordered a carafe of the house red, very drinkable cab sav and then mains: moules and frites for me and plat du jour for hubby. It was a bit of Paris in NYC - perfectly cooked moules and excellent veggies. I could not recommend this place enough. Forget the tourist traps of Mid Town and take a subway to The East Village you will not be disappointed.

I had such a great brunch here with my friend! We shared a carafe of mimosa, which was decently priced! And each brunch entre came with endless coffee, which was actually superb coffee! I highly recommend croque madame, it was spectacular! I would go again in a heart beat

Милое кафе в East village, замечательный владелец, может быть он просто официант. Очень приятный, говорит на французском. Вкусный кофе. Вкусные бутерброды. Хороший интернет. Нагулялись в Ист вилладж- зайдите на чашку кофе.

The place were crowded, we wait 15 min at the door to be seated over our reservation time. Food was ok, we had the Double Bash Burger winner dish. Just a burger. Nothing Special.

We went into this place on a whim - we were just passing and liked the look of it. It was a really good meal. The waitress was very friendly, and the service was good (but we were the only people there). We really liked the East Village, and this cafe contributed to that impression.

Really what more do you need to say. This side dish should be a main entree. I also ordered the fish and chips (chips more like chunks). It was good, fresh and crispy. Good selection and of tasty beverages too. Good spot for a nice meal in East Village.

Try the burrata and the oven baked chicken. Food is very fresh and tasty. Service is good, staff is very friendly. Atmosphere is laid back and it's not too loud and crowded so it's easy to have a conversation. Great neighborhood restaurant.

My son lives right across the street from this new restaurant, so it was a convenient place to go eat while we were visiting him. The food is great. We were there for brunch, and although it had traditional things on the menu, they were made in a non-traditional way, which was amazing! Try the breakfast potatoes!

Got a last-minute table on a Saturday night, place was buzzing when we arrived. Food and service were really great. We shared the chicken wings to start, which were really excellent. We tried a really tasty French amber ale. No spirits, so all the cocktails are wine or beer-based. Recommend this place for a casual but tasty dinner.

Marco was extremely helpful and charming. The atmosphere is terrific and the service was attentive, relaxed and personal. The asparagus risotto was absolutely delicious, as was the steak tartare. A very enjoyable evening.

Walking around the East Village, looking for a laid-back place for a late Saturday dinner, we came across this place. It was chilly outside and we were immediately welcomed as we walked in. We had a couple of Founder's IPAs and ordered appetizers. Ricotta toast and fluke tartare were both excellent - great combinations of flavors and decent sized portions to share. We than split a chicken under the brick, which was amazing. Juicy, over a bed of haricots vert and with the most delicious savory caper butter sauce. We asked for extra bread (from Balthazar) and mopped up every drop. Chef David Malbequi really knows what he's doing and our server Amina was super friendly and helpful. We felt like family by the time we finished. What a find! We'll definitely be back.

Offering brunch and dinner, this casual yet charming French-American restaurant has a great chef at the helm. Funky frenchie decor blends perfectly in the east Village. Very affordable, good quality, tasty food, lovely staff willing to please, a very good spot to relax and enjoy David Malbeque"s plates. Beer & wine on tap will please you, unless you prefer a bottle of chilled Muscadet, a good reward for finding this new sweet place on St Marks Place....

They don't know who they are yet. Parisian? New York food? Diner tables on the outside with wood tables on inside? They are lost looks wise. The food was fine. My beet salad was not great. The staff didn't even ask me about why I didn't touch it. I would not have asked for something new, but at least ask! The bacon salad was a slab on bacon. And not in the good way. The Chicken was great. As was My Wife's Salad. Wine list needs to be bolstered. Hopefully they can get there.

We went to this new place just because of the atmosphere at first. Then the staff was really friendly and nice. The food was good (except for the fries but they definitely can improve that soon). A very nice place in the East Village! We were glad to try it.
