This bar is headstrong for Germany, Argentina, and the Netherlands. Come prepared to yell and shout--there are beers flying after an epic goal.

Rooftop bar with food served. Nothing fancy but great atmosphere esp on the rooftop. It actually has 3-4 levels and each level has a long bar. Weather was great so we trucked up the stairs to the top! Would visit again for casual lunch

What a difference a year makes! This year we could only order from the brunch menu! Couldn't split the bar check! Food ok. We won't go back for those reasons. Too bad

Looking for a great rooftop? This is your place. I was here during Santacon and had a blast. Will be back very soon!

Good casual dining, not upscale but generous portions for VERY reasonable prices. I had chicken fajitas (I know weird thing to order at an NYC pub) but they were good. The tortillas were a little chewy but the chicken and grilled veggies were very generous and pretty tasty. Lunch specials were $6.95 and $7.95, lots of variety and lots of drinks on the menu for happy hour (which is only from 11AM to 10PM...LOL) It's fast service, affordable food and friendly surroundings. Don't expect white tablecloths and upscale cuisine and you will be fine.

This place was just around the corner from our hotel and we took a walk around the neighborhood to find somewhere to eat. On seeing there was a roof terrace we decided on eating here. We received a warm welcome just inside the door and went straight up to the roof terrace. There is plenty of space downstairs and also on the middle floor. We found a table and was served quickly. The staff were very friendly and even took time to explain the basketball match that was going on on the tv screen by our table. There were plenty more tvs on the terrace all showing different sports and we were pleased to see the MLB match going on too! We chose some American beers and a couple of pizzas which were so filling that we had to take the remainder to go........ The food and beer along with the service was good and this restaurant comes well recomended

Came to Tonic East with 2 friends to watch the horse races. The only reason to really come is for the ambiance. There are three different levels to choose from, each with its only vibe. I really liked the rooftop area - fresh air, good views. It's your typical Murray Hill crowd... hummus was ok, drinks were very sweet.

Tonic East has 3 floors. The top floor is rooftop and has amazing views of the Empire State Building etc. Great selection of drinks and food. Prices are very reasonable for NYC. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a good time. The staff and managers are very accommodating.

Came here Friday night with my girls from out of town. Great place to start the night, music was on point. We were on the second floor, had a table. Staff was nice. We were about to leave and hit the next spot until they gave us 2 bottles of champagne and shots.. Even though the champagne was 99cents, who cares, u know you're still going to drink it lol. Good times Been here for happy hour before too, fun sports bar with good food and drinks.

Rooftop bar near Murray Hill that has great views of Empire State Building and doesn't break the budget. I liked the staff and the beer selection.

Clean, modern space with excellent selection of food and grog. Service was great at lunch one day in Oct 2015, place was half empty, bartender was attentive, food was fresh and tasty, good value , good selection of beers, got a buyback. What more to ask?

Decent looking place inside, not so much outside. Rooftop Bar. Great view of Empire State Building. Average pricing. Food was so so at best. Service at the table was good. Overall, a place that thinks it is much better than it is.

While in NYC for a couple nights, we wanted to find a place to take our nephew for dinner. We set out on foot from the Grand Hyatt (near Grand Central Station). Took us a while to find the right place, but Tonic was it! Rooftop patio with great views of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings, half-price drinks on Sundays, warm summer night....it just doesn't get much better than that. The climb up the stairs was warm, but worth it. And hey, we only had to do it once, where the poor servers are up and down constantly! Thankfully, because it was Sunday I guess, we had no problem snagging a great table out in the open with the best views. Started with the edamame and calamari appetizers, both good. I had the chicken panini (good) and my husband the chicken tacos (he was less than enthused). Wish I had ordered the Tonic pasta that the server recommended, but was too full after the appetizers. My nephew got the burger, which he said was cooked just as ordered. We all had 2 Long Island Ice Teas, but they didn't pack too much of a punch. Maybe they do when it's not half-price drink night? Didn't matter, we were full and happy and it was a great place to catch up with our nephew. I would hit it again just for the patio and try some different menu items.

Unplanned night here on a friday. It was my boys birthday but the initial spot we had planned on attending went out the window. He arrived here late. by that time i had knocked back a few drinks provided by samantha on the upstairs level. she was super cool. danced with a cool crowd and rocked out to some cool music. He def enjoyed his bday.

A group of us stopped by for drinks as from the street they looked to have decent roof top patio. We weren't wrong, as upon getting to the top, it was packed and we ended up having to shuffle around for a bit before snagging a table. The front part is open air, with the pack covered (and a bit dark), but fans going to keep air moving and people cool in the sun. Lots of drink specials, and a decent food menu which we ordered a spread of appetizers. The servers were all friendly and great, but drinks arriving always took a while, not sure if a symptom of how busy it was, or just a bottleneck at the bar making drinks. The food arriving relatively quickly though, with the whole order out together and accurate, so that was good. The inside two levels looked pretty interesting as well, but we only saw in passing as we walked up/down the stairs, however Tonic looks like it can house quite a few people. Good evening out, bar tab at the end was pretty good for a few dozen pints of beer and spread of food.

They make one of best burgers. The waiters are friendly and courteous. However, the restaurant is dark. I wish they had better lighting.

They have lunch specials for $6.95. I had the burger and fries and they were really, really good! It's like a pub, and the windows open up on nice days, so we could see right out on to the street. Wait staff was extremely friendly! And the food came quickly. Definitely a wonderful place to eat if you're anywhere around the area.

Had a lovely evening sat on the roof top terrace with a stunning view of the Empire State Building. Food was good and plentiful. Would have been better if they had served draft beer but bottled was o.k.

Decided to go here because we were in the mood for a bar type meal rather than a restaurant meal. We were seated by the server ,ordered our food and were then told that we could order the bucket of beers 5 for $25.00 so we did. When our check came it actually said 5 for $25.00 but across in the column it then said $30.00 !!.When I questioned this I was told that because it was now later we HAD to be charged $30.00. We did not order the beers five minutes before the offer finished, there was still at least 30 minutes left before the offer closed and it was the server who advised us to get them. Basically we were ripped off. Avoid like the plague !!!!
