We were on a college tour of NYU and stopped in for breakfast. A little nervous at first since the place is small and was crowded. But we got up our nerve , got up to the front and ordered and were very glad we did. Great breakfast - omelettes, fresh fruit, pancakes...all 4 of us were so happy with the food. But the icing on the cake was the ambiance - just a cozy West Village place that is a great advert for New York generally and the West Village in particular. It would have surprised me one bit if Ross, Rachel and the rest of the Friends gang had come in😊

Went for brunch. I was a little bit confused to start. It's small and the line was huge. You get in line they find you a table but you do not sit till after you order and they will bring the food. You get your own silverware and condiments. The food was terrific!!! Great price ! Great selection great size servings. When in Greenwich you need to go!

I just loved the vibe of this place: the menu is terrific, the food is great, the staff are really breezy. It's in the university area, and it's simply a nice place to be.

This may be my favorite place to eat in NYC. Biggest portion sizes I've seen in NYC. I couldn't only eat half of my breakfast sandwich. Great Latte's. It gets very crowded after 10 am.

Love going here for brunch. The yogurt and granola with fresh fruit is my favorite, with a blueberry corn muffin. Sandwiches are tasty as well. They've recently added spiralized veggies and cauliflower rice to their menu.

The food was absolutely amazing. Not the traditional restaurant, a hostess puts a bandana at your table while you order at a desk. However, the food was very good and cheap. Would definitely return.

My son and I ducked into the Grey Dog on our way to NYU. We were looking for a quick bfast, but that didn't work out. As we waited for our Danish oatmeal and big Grey Dig breakfast to be served, we were pleasantly surprise by the customer service (especially on a busy Monday morning). The gal who took our order was "awesome" and was very welcoming and pleasant. The staff was eager to keep my cup of joe topped as we waited maybe 15 mins for our food to arrive. When it did, it was great! The D-oatmeal was my first time trying and came in a huge portion, which I was unable to finish. The eggs and pancakes were good but the grey dog potatoes stoled the show. All in all we'll be back!

Stopping in on a Saturday morning to discover a little place which does freshly baked bread including scrumptious banana. Your order at the counter and while there is a list on the wall they are open to making changes. Food is delivered to your table. It is a little rustic, The noise level is a little high as the line grows to order but the atmosphere is so genial that it isn't overwhelming. All in all a very pleasant place to get atasty well made breakfast.

I come to the Grey Dog weekly because of the great atmosphere and even better food. Order at the counter and then grab your own silverware and your own table and the waiter will call your name to bring your food. Salmon toast points for breakfast a must. I would call it a NYC staple more than an NYC scene. Definitely check it out. Worth the trip downtown, but very crowded on weekends so try to go during the week.

All about the Baha fish tacos and the tomato and white bean soup. Yum! Cool vibe, great service, decent brunch / lunch menu, and all at a decent price. Will be back!

I just love eating breakfast here. Nice food, lovely coffee and all kinds of people, old as well as young, coming and going. It is a strong vibe of New York life in this restaurant.

En route to WTC we stopped here on Sunday morning for breakfast. Great atmosphere with families and couples relaxing over huge plates of food. Quite a funky place with shabby chic style e.g tables reserved by way of a tie dyed bandana! Very popular, queuing out the door, and the counter team not particularly efficient. Delicious food. Loved the place!

The staff at Grey Dog is super cool! The place is warm, small. The coffee and tea selections are wonderful! I was here for breakfast, ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla, the eggs were overdone, the overall flavor lacking. The size of the Quesadillas was enormous, unfortunately the taste was disappointing. BUT STILL the place is great, will order something else next trip!

Popped in here for a late lunch. The Tuna Melt was delicious! Fun, funky atmosphere. So glad I was able to experience this while I was in the city. Only wished they would have had their baseball jersey shirts!
