The Spotted Pig may be known for its charbroiled burger (with Roquefort cheese on a brioche bun) but it also serves up a delicious Hot Mulled Wine ($14). Concocted with Malbec, Brandy, Orange, Lemon, and Winter Spices, this little number is the perfect sipping drink on a cold winter’s day. You’ll definitely want to refill your mug.

314 W 11th St New York, NY 10014 This restaurant has good food, but it's all about the scene. Celebrity guests of the restaurant include David Duchovny, Julianne Moore, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

What's impressive is that this O.G. sandwich has kept pace with its spawn, continuing to set the standard for haute comfort food even as countless other big-name chefs take shots at the throne.

When a pub with a wholly British name peeks out from a quiet urban corner, one expects to find a dark wood interior, grumpy old men at the bar, and bready ales paired with toad-in-the-hole and spotted dick.

Some of our most memorable nights in New York City have started (and ended) at The Spotted Pig. There’s something special about this place, especially when it’s cold out.

It's the kind of place that, even if it's empty, the make you wait super long and of course do not accept reservations. This is so annoying. We arrived there, the guys told us that we had to wait one hour and half (!). We said ok and that we would have waited at the bar. There were probably 10 persons in all the place. After approximately one hour I went to see how much we had to wait. Always consider that the tables were not occupied and, since no one can make reservations, they were free but no one could sit. So, they guy told me that he forgot to write down the name, so we had to wait an additional one hour and half (!!). No apologies. And always empty tables where no one could sit. An additional note. During this long and useless wait, we took drinks: well, if you want to try the worst prosecco of your life and of course in a wrong glass, please go to this place. Overall, it's the kind of place pretending to be cool but actually it's just annoying and they don't even know what they're doing.

We stopped by the Spotted Pig for drinks before we went on to dinner on a weeknight. The downstairs bar was pretty busy so they recommended we go upstairs to the bar there. It was really fun and the folks at the bar and eating dinner seemed to be having a good time.

We visited the Spotted Pig as it was highly regarded by many websites. We went for Brunch and I was surprised that there were not a lot of options available on the menu. Having said that all the food that came out of the kitchen looked good and there was plenty of it. It's quite small downstairs and you certainly get friendly with you neighbours on the tables next to you! The French toast was great as was the burger that came with a gigantic pile of skinny fries. Good choice of beers too. If your down by the bottom of the highline take a walk 3 blocks south and give the place a try.

They don't take phone reservations but we stopped by at 6 while strolling the neighborhood and they texted us within the hour as we continued to walk. It's busy and cozy inside but tastefully decorated if you like farm animals and professionally staffed. The Spanish Mackerel was perfectly cooked and deliciously accompanied. We also had the burger and it was well seasoned and needed nothing else on it. Wine menu is carefully curated and not overwhelming. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helped us make a good choice. So happy to finally be able to cross this one off our list!!!

I will give this a four * . It's a quaint little place and I mean little but do not take that a bad thing, and the crew are very friendly. It's almost like a little house made into a restaurant cool place with a bunch of stuff on the walls. I saw a fish plague on the wall written in Danish. I ordered the Skate with their fries on the side ..Yep you guessed it I love fries. And my wife got their famous burger. I really liked the Skate it came with what looked like boc chow and a really good sauce It complimented the fish very well. And I would have it again anytime. How ever the wife was not impressed with the Burger nor was she with the fries, said they are hard to eat being all stringy.

Had a wonderful dinner here. The food was great, both the burger and black bass. We walked in at 730 and had to wait 45 mins for a table which was no hardship given the great bar they have. Don't expect the longest menu but what they do was excellent. Service was really well judged and we never felt in any rush. Great place to spend an evening.

I visited this restaurant on Labor Day weekend. I had not been back for several years. The food remains excellent: dishes are made of carefully selected ingredients and are prepared in an exquisite manner. The service is friendly and punctual. The atmosphere is pleasant and makes you feel at home. This is one of my favorite places to go to in NYC.

Nice location, place is quirky and interesting inside. It doesn't have a very large menu and at certain times the menu is reduced further. We arrived at 3.30pm and many items cannot be ordered at this time which was disappointing. The food was good, a little OTT on pricing - $26 burger and Fries - I came here after reading press reviews listing it as one of the best burger places in NY - it was ok. What lets the place down is the service which is just all over the place. Our server was initially rushing us to order (we'd been in the place like 5 minutes) then we rarely saw him - he couldn't seem to care less, even when paying (and still tipping) he didn't seem to know who we were! Would I bother making the trip here on our next visit? I doubt it

I'm a bit of a foodie so right from the off I wanted to try the best that NYC had to offer! We fell off the plane from Heathrow, dropped the cases at the hotel, a quick freshen up and then out in such of good old fashioned comfort foot (with a twist). The restaurant Is literally a short subway ride (A-C-E train) and then a short walk of 4 streets down. Restaurant is a quirky pub atmosphere with great cocktails and really good flavoursome food. We put our names down and waited at the bar about 45mins. We went for the burgers - amazing! Soft brioche bun, the craziest, thinnest fries (seasoned by frying with a bit of finely slices garlic and thyme!), bit of blue cheese on the burger - just enough for amazing flavour but not too much to overpower. All comes together to make one great US burger experience! Dress is smart casual (but you can come as you like). Staff were really helpful and service was great. Really cool part of New York too

The service was so bad. I had read the good comments about the food but how is one to enjoy the food with such bad service. We had to flag down our waiter numerous times. He brought us warm beer, forgot about our water and didn't even say what the special was until asked. It was as if he was tired or didn't care to be there.

The burger is excellent; medium rare comes that way. Comes with a huge pile of excellent shoestring fries. (combo is $26) The chicken iiver pate is excellent. Nice ambience in an older place with two floors. Other good menu items. Worth a visit.

My husband loves a good burger and said it was the best he has had. I do not often eat red meat, and even I thought it was awesome! I had fish which was very good. Service was great. Cocktails were good. Lovely atmosphere. All around our favorite meal during our weekend in NYC. It is hard to get a table - on a Thursday night we got there around 8 or a little after and I think it was pushing 10 when we were seated. We grabbed a cocktail across the street and they texted when the table was ready.

There is good reason why this restaurant is always packed and does not take reservations. Always visit when in NYC, it is a ritual. Usually come for the burger & fries fix. It really is a great thing to look forward to. Also really enjoy the skate and some of the appetizers are really great. Best frites ever. Very hip, New York decor and inconspicuously situated in the midst of residential buildings. A tradition we intend to keep for a long time. Go in with an open mind (crowded, busy, noisy, cramped) and really enjoy the great experience.

We visited to try the burger & shoestring fries having seen the reviews on here and it being rated as one of the top 5 burgers in NY. The place itself is initially hard to spot from the outside - you need to look for the spotted pigs! It was great to visit somewhere which had a real feel of local life and get away from the chain restaurants normally aimed at tourists like us. The burger itself lived up to expectation but equally good were the fries, although the portion is so large we unfortunately couldn't finish them all. The staff were friendly & attentive.

We love this place. It hits the nail on the head perfectly every single time we come. If you're going there just for a drink you can sit at the bar or on a high stool by a pillar, the range of beers is excellent, the bar staff are funny, attentive but laid back, you can drink till the very early hours and the music is varied, unexpected and at a good volume (having a conversation doesn't become an epic shouting match) and if you're eating, the food is excellent. The menu is compact but incredibly well done (and they won't make menu alterations for picky customers, which is a welcome change in this day and age) and the service is 100% on the money. The wait staff are fast, knowledgeable and attentive. The decor is filled with things to look at, and doesn't take itself seriously. I bloody love it here!

The whole thing was good and the food came about 15 minutes after ordering it. Have in mind that this restaurant is expensive: we paid $80 dollars for just 2 hamburgers a bottle of sparkling water and a side dish of bacon. I also noted that the food was a little too salty, I had to wash my mouth later.

On my to do list for a while, always put away by long wait but mid-August lunch time was a perfect opportunity to try it and the conclusion is simple - absolutely worth to wait in line for diner in September ! Nice interior, perfect and easygoing service and delicious menu & specials. Roasted beets salad among the best I ever had, made of several varieties of small beetroot, well roasted in the oven; grilled cheese is a portion for two, large and tasty although a bit on dry end; current special, ricotta-parmigiano gnocchi/ravioli, for the lack of better name, served in rich home made pesto were outstanding - and so was the sauce, eaten down to the last drop. Good wine selection and very decent by the glass offering. Not to be missed !!!

Still the best burger I have ever had. Along with amazing sides, such as dates wrapped in bacon! The staff are great. The service is great. What's not to love?
