Mexican. Order guacamole with veggie crudite (instead of chips) and farmers market tacos or a mix of any of the veggie sides.

We were looking for a "happening " Mexican restaurant and this fit the bill. Lively place with great table side guacamole and delicious salsa, drinks were top shelf, service was attentive but not intrusive. The entrees were presented beautifully but were disappointing. The shrimp Veracruz was bland, the rice was undercooked and you could not really decipher the filling in the chile relleno. (It was rice, onions, mushrooms and goat cheese). We expected flavorful dishes, but it just wasn't there. I'd go for the atmosphere and would give the food a second chance.

We ate lunch at this very authentic Mexican restaurant today. The food was excellent! We ordered from the Chef's lunch menu and could not finish everything. The sauces that accompanied the perfect empanadas were delicious. The salads were crisp, tasty and enormous. The corn tortillas were hand made. The service was attentive and the decor welcoming. We are recommending Rosa Mexicano to all of our friends. Bravo!

My friend and I were so excited to be back at Rosa Mexicano so looking forward to the tableside made guacamole and a nice big signature Margarita, not disappointed at all. The guac had just the right amount of kick and the Margarita was perfect, not too sweet frozen and just right. Our server was terrific, Vanessa, was attentive and offered good suggestions. My friend and I always share and this place is perfect for sharing. We had decided to have the chef's lunch, a true bargain, two courses for $20. We ordered the Mexican Romaine Wedge, never had a wedge prepared this way and it was one of the best ever, Roasted corn, black beans, radish and bacon, There were pepitas and just a touch of cilantro ranch dressing and cheese. We loved that it was not overdressed. Our entrée was Arrachera, sirloin and shrimp in a mildly spicy sauce, served with tortillas. We really liked this. Next came a lovely surprise from the kitchen, their rendition of Napolitano ice cream, a sorbet of raspberry, cocoanut, and pistachio it was a lovely light dessert but we had our hearts set on churros, OMG, they arrived via the chef. He came to the table to talk with us, what a delightful young man, but back to the churros. They were so good they were over the top. They had the traditional chocolate sauce as well as a raspberry sauce which I liked even more than the chocolate. This was one of the most delightful lunches in a while all made so by rhe people and the really good food,

I went here with two friends. Everyone was really satisfied with their food. My pork tacos were excellent. Margaritas were great but a bit pricey. The quacamole was top notch. This is the place to go after a concert in Lincoln Center.

İf you like Mexican foods, this is the number one place. You can start with guacamalo. If you dont like too much Spicy you need order mid level. I can go back only for guacamalo again.

Went with a large group and had a round table so we could all talk and pass food easily. The red sangria is delicious, Tableside Guacamole is really good and you can choose your level of heat. I liked their salsa very rich and hearty. I tried the Salmon it was delicious over kale with bits of chorizo. We also tried the enchiladas which were good. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly. Their chicken like fajitas is a huge portion and people really enjoyed it. The carnitas was another huge portion and very good. The desserts we tried were ice cream sandwich which was excellent, the taco which was pleasing, and the coke float with Mexican coke different taste than standard and worth trying. We enjoyed our meal our server was excellent. The bathrooms are on the second floor so not good if have trouble navigating stairs. I would definitely recommend if you are in the neighborhood and want Mexican food which is more upscale and closer to authentic.

The food is good but it is not prepared in the typical way is done in Mexico. Serving sizes are big. Service is very friendly. Toilets are only upstairs so not too friendly for handicapped people.

Being Vegetarian, finding a place is difficult choice. We tried Rosa Mexicano and we were not disappointed. We ordered for Double Guacamole with Chips, Vegetable Tacos and vegetarian Quesadilla de Rajas App. The Guacamole was prepared before us and they were damm tasty. We just wiped out completely in a few minutes. Tacos and Quesadilla were too good, You can never go wrong with Mexican being a vegetarian

The restaurant from the start was stunning with its intriguing ambiance of a diving man. The waiter took great care of us and was always understanding. The table side guacamole preparation I would recommend to anyone that came to the restaurant. It was an overall magical experience. I only think that some of the food could be improved upon.

Nice restaurant with good service and a lot of gluten free options. I had the pescado primavera and it was fabulous. The pomegranate margarita was excellent as well. The menu is interesting because they tell you the location in Mexico that the recipe came from.

The food is good. Service was ok. It bothered me that when they suggested % tip to pay, 15,18, or 20% , they calculated after taxes not before them. Let's have an example: Subtotal $ 200 Taxes. $ 20 supposed rate for simplicity is 10%. Suggested tip: 15 %. RM : $ 33 It should be: $ 30 18%. RM: $ 39.60 it should be: $ 36 20%. RM: $ 44. It should be: $ 40. So if you tip 20% you end up paying $244 instead of $ 240. Remember, the devil or diablo is in the details. The more you tip, the more you pay tip over taxes. Tipping is to reward good service. Taxes are taxing, no tip for taxes. Please RM be nice and candid. I don't want to be shortchanged in the check, otherwise I start worrying about the food ingredients and stop patronizing you.

The place is an easy reach for those who are in Hell's Kitchen. Close to the Columbus Circle, they have a very good food and a cozy environment. The waiter was very receptive with us. A very good place for a delicious dinner.

We love this spot and the guacamole made table side is a must. We asked for Hot and chunky and it was excellent. Always good drinks and my son loves the Tortilla Soup: a bowl of Tortilla strips appears and the waiter pours the soup all around. Keeps those strips crunchy! Make a reservation as this place gets packed. Currently under some construction but the staff expertly advised us around and I barely noticed it.

We enjoyed dinner here on our second-to-last night in NYC. The restaurant was recommended by a taxi driver. We were not disappointed. Margaritas prepared with your choice of tequila. Guacamole made to your spice level at your table. Plenty of fresh, salty chips. Dinner was delicious too. Service was professional and attentive. The only downside was some kind of refurbishment/construction work meant that employees were using a stairwell that rattled our table every time they went up/down. However, we very much enjoyed our evening.

This was a fantastic evening. The restaurant is 1 minute walk from Empire hotel. Justin was a great waiter and Charles the Guac man as I called him made the evening memorable. It was such a novelty to observe the guacamole making table. The Mexican food is delicious and the margaritas are to die for.

Awesome and authentic Mexican cuisine, you have to have the guacamole (made table side) with a frozen pomegranate margarita to start and then pick something that peaks your foodie interest. I have not had 1 bad thing from there menu. The staff is all super friendly, you get knowledgeable waiter and possibly the best service in any restaurant. I highly recommend this location and restaurant.

We all ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were extremely delicious. The restaurant has great waitstaff and serving the nachos, salsa and cornbread before the meal is a nice touch. Will definitely visit again.

This is the best mexican we have ever had. The main courses were really good and a different style of mexican than we have tried in the UK. We had nachos to start and they were the. best. The tortillas chips were homemade and not out of the packet which is what we have always had in the past. Me and my partner haven't stopped raving about these nachos and desperate to find somewhere near home that does similar.
