I giggled at the ridiculous show-biz tableside tricks of Pops Alan Stillman and his son Michael because I can be so happy eating at their Quality Italian.

Yes, they make a chicken parm the size of a pizza. But that's only the beginning.

Great option near 5th ave with delicious plates and good attendance. Kind of expensive, depending what you are dispose to expend.

I have eaten at over 50+ restaurants in NYC and this was hands down the worst food I have ever experienced. From appetizers to entrees to desserts it was nothing short of awful. The restaurant was absolutely packed, which comes as a complete shock to me based on the quality of the food. The branzino dish was easily the worst fish dish that I have ever been served. The veal chop entree was so overcooked that it tasted like veal jerky. The only thing that kept me from giving this restaurant a 1 star is that the service and ambiance were good. Do not include this restaurant on your list of places to eat while in NYC.

The food at Quality Italian is executed perfectly. Most people rave about Chicken Parm 'pizza' but that was my least favorite dish. I would strongly recommend Corn Brûlée- very interesting and unexpected- somewhere between side dish and dessert. The place was clean and while extremely busy, the food was coming out on time and staff was very attentive.

We were invited out to this high end place so we luckily did not have to pay! But it was very good and the chicken parm pizza lives up to its reputation. Steak excellent. Desserts outstanding.

By recommendation, went to Quality Italian restaurant last night. For a Wednesday evening, it was very crowded. We sat at our table for about 10-15 minutes before we were greeted by anyone. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and entrées. As far as the food is concerned, it was very good! As for the service, not so much. It seems that the only time the servers came to the table was to deliver food and drink. Any updates for the food or re-ordering of the drinks had to happen when something was delivered, it seemed that no server came to the table to check on us.

I've been here now about 3 times when in NYC- always really good and with a great upscale casual vibe. The chicken parmesan looks like a pizza with the crust being thin chicken and a total crowd pleaser especially if you go with a group. Wide range of options for food and service is good but not overbearing. it uses opentable which makes the reservation process seamless.

My husband and I visited New York last week on our delayed honeymoon/first wedding anniversary and we went for a mid-week meal at this restaurant and it was superb! On arrival our waiter gave us a complimentary glass of Moët and made us feel special the whole time we were there. The restaurant was lively for a week night, so gave the whole evening more of a Friday feeling which we loved. For some though I can appreciate they might find it quite noisy depending on the size of groups in there. The food was amazing and our only regret was that we couldn't eat all of it! Tip: The chicken parm I'd go as far as to say it is life changing! You won't be disappointed!

We had a business dinner here based on a family recommendation. They said go and try the chicken parm! We usually never order this out since it is something we make at home. But, this is different, it's done in the shape and size of a small pizza, it comes with a small arugula salad, a few different shakers of toppings including crushed olives and a spicy honey!try it with the honey. It was not amazing , but it was different and very good! You keep thinking you are eating pizza until after each bite you realize it's chewy. We really enjoyed it and there's a lot of it! In addition, the tomatoes and burrata (statcciatella) was AMAZING! Best I have ever had. The same. Was said about the salad that others in our party had. Basically they do Italian in a fun new way. Our servers were excellent, and friendly! Definitely will do again.

Excellent service. Excellent menu choices. Flavorful and tasty food. Large servings. Open late. So, if you are looking for a nice dinner experience - this place is it.

Their food is wonderful. Great menu, with plenty of options. But the noise level is so bad it's hard to carry on a conversation. It's a shame but I won't return

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in New York City. Was there about a year ago and was blown away by the cuisine at dinner with some friends. They lavished us with truffles and absolutely delicious Italian food. This time we were walking around shopping near Central Park and noticed they were open for lunch. I don't win we went in and were absolutely blown away by the cuisine. Started off with a tray of chilled absolutely perfect oysters. This was followed by grilled octopus in the series of phenomenal dishes that had myself and my family blown away. They have wine specials in our case I had a 2013 Oddero The rule of it was $50 off it's regular price. Absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable we had their take on a Negroni with a little grapefruit twist it was phenomenal. This is not a restaurant to be missed. Cannot wait to go back

How have I lived in NY my entire life without ever dining here? Fun, friendly and amazing food. Not inexpensive but so worth it. GO!

We had reservation for table of eight. our party arrived and checked in downstairs , but they forgot to notify the upstairs host or maître'd . They cancel the reservation and made us wait an additional 30 to 45 minutes for a table. After we order our food they wait was around 30 to 40 minutes. Otherwise the food was good. The manager did come over to apologize for the inconvenience and comp us several desserts. Overall very good accept for the minor cliché.

I was invited to this place by some business associates and we got a table after 15 minutes of waiting despite a reservation which means it is very busy and this was a monday. The drinks are pricey however the food is excellent however slightly pricey. Ambience is good and location is central. I will visit again.

Trip Advisor needs something between Average and Very Good. Average would be unfair, bit very good is maybe pushing it. This place is pretty pricey for what it is. That said, the pasta dishes are very tasty and the fresh fish and chicken dishes are also good. Not many dishes that shout out to younger children, but maybe they are not targetting younger diners. Waitress was very attentive and helpful.

The fillet steak is an absolute must. The best cooked steak I've ever eaten and the staff are so attentive and welcoming. I make it a priority to eat at this restaurant every time I am in New York. Excellent.

This is the second time I have been to quality Italian. The food here is memorably delicious! We had the beet salad and the Cesar salad. The beet salad is really good, and my daughter enjoyed her Cesar salad. Both times I was here I had the Dover sole, which was delicious. I would say to try as many of the side dishes as you can because they are all really good, even the things that seem really basic, such as the asparagus. I don't know what they did to those asparagus, but I could eat a whole plate of them! Desserts were also really good. We tried the s'more "candy bar". Which is a chocolate marshmallow tart in a graham cracker crust. Yum! The gelato and sorbets were also delish! We will be back!

It was a Monday night which is apparently busier than I would have thought. Made a reservation (two months in advance) for a party of six. When I arrived, they had us down for a party of 2. It took a while to get our table after the mix up and once we were seated, service was beyond slow. But my clients loved the food and I would be back for sure. Just not if I had to make an appointment in NYC on time.

Went here with colleagues from work. Seated in back room in corner. It was very dark and I wasn't able to read the menu. I played it safe and ordered a filet mignon. We started with the chicken parmigiana pie. It was served as a pizza pie along with salad and was very good. So I had high hopes... my filet came out over cooked , I ordered it medium rare and wasn't impressed! 😩For the price I expected more but overall everyone was happy with their meal.

We very much enjoyed our evening at Quality Meats last winter but were less thrilled with Quality Italian. QI also presents a huge amount of food - we could eat about 1/2 of our "steak for two", but that's our fault! Still my favorite place for steaks. Cannot beat them for flavor and cooked to perfection. Spinach and salad were good too. However, our Porterhouse was fattier than we prefer. Great location and great spot.
