Came here w/ Carlos when I was hungry and ate absolutely too much. Fortunately it was all cheap. The Masa Fries are the highlight here, so much more than the tacos. It's worth getting the bottled horchata as well. Not too sweet, just right.

Minka says: simple, tasty-looking tacos. All tacos are GF (aside from carnitas). Open 7 days. Midday to midnight.

Some of my favorite tacos. This place seems to magically appear when I'm day drinking and need tacos...

Generally there is not a street taco I don't like. Lived off of them in Mexico, Tucson and even Utah. Otto's has the basic street tacos that are equivalent and very good, but then they have a few OUTSTANDING ones like the Corn Fritter and Short Spare Ribs tacos. They are killer good.

After a long tiring day in New York, getting tacos delivered seemed like a good idea, but the tacos just didn't live up to the hype. We had chicken and pork tacos, and while they were spicy, they seemed quite average. The hot salsa is definitely hot though, for those who love the heat. Overall, it wasn't bad; it was just alright. I'll be trying another place instead.

The tacos were pretty good. Barbecue was a bit vinegary, though. The gorgon was amazing. Never had one before. Will be back for another.

I came here on the recommendation of various websites as being one of the best cheap eats in NY. I have to say, it didn't feel cheap. Two small tacos for about 8 dollars just seems a bit silly to me. They were very nice but nothing exceptional. Friendly service though.

I stumbled upon ottos tacos the other day and it was honestly one if the best places that I got food at. I got the chicken taco and it was super tasty. Quick and kind staff a definite 10/10!

Otto's Tacos are very good. I ordered the Seasonal Veggie Tacos. It was very small but good. I had Masa fries for the first time here. You can taste the Masa flour and I like this taste but the fries are very firm. Their beans and rice is good and I put this inside of my taco with guacamole, yum, yum, yummy :). I had their tortilla chips with green salsa it was just ok. The restaurant offers quaint inside seating. There is seating outside but it is close to the curb and construction is going on directly across the street from the restaurant. Debris in the air and leaves falling from the tree near the tables were a deterrent to eating outside. Our server, James, gave us personal attention, took our order with a smile and patience. There are no restrooms and not many beverage choices but Otto's Tacos is a nice quick satisfying meal.

Delicious tacos with amazing price and very nice atmosphere. Visited it for the first time 2 days ago, then visited it again today. Planning to go there again soon. Great for a quick, cheap and delicious bite! The chicken tacos are my favorite.

We stumbled onto this place while strolling the east Village. The only thing we tried were a couple of orders or Masa Fries. I'd never heard of these. Thickly rolled fresh tortillas cut into sticks and flash fried to resemble French fries! They were served with a chipotle mayonnaise for dipping. Very good but filling. Can't wait to go back and try the tacos.

I'm not sure if they were having an off day but when I visited everything was salty! I got one chicken and one carne asada taco and my friend had a chicken and a shrimp taco--all were too salty. We also got some guac on the side and that too was salty. We could not finish everything. I threw out half the guacamole :( . I also didn't like the tortillas. Also, I think the saltiness came from whatever sauce was put on the tacos and the tacos had too much sauce. We had trouble holding ours up without it breaking apart. I don't know if I would return.

I really enjoyed Otto's. I went to the location on 9th ave, not 2nd Ave. I had the pork tacos, chicken tacos and guacamole and chips. They give a good portion of guac. The restaurant was very clean and the service was super fast. Will definitely return.

We gorged ourselves at Otto's heard so much about them and walked 10 blocks to try. Food is very good and loved their thick masa tortillas. Just wish they were a bit cleaner; needs a bit more attention to organization but still recommended.

I had two tacos (mushroom and carne asada) and an order of chips & salsa. The mushroom taco was an unusual one for me (a regular street-style taco eater) so I opted for it. The mushrooms were delicious! The carne asada taco was also tasty! The only suggestions I have are that Otto's add an extra tortilla to the taco because the tacos tended to fall apart when picked-up. Other street-style tacos at other restaurants are made with two tortillas per taco which makes it easier to eat and they tend to stay intact. Another suggestion is to serve the salsa in a smaller container. The current salsa container (or at least the one I was given on October 23rd) was huge. I only used about 20% of the container and had to throw the rest out. It was a large rectangular plastic container.

The staff were really friendly and polite, they helped me with my selection, and when it came it was tasty and ample... The Gorgon with chicken and chips and Quoc. Well done guys, it was well worth the walk from 42nd st.

We visited Otto's Tacos as part of the Food on Foot tour (highly recommend this tour). We had the carnitas, chicken, and shrimp tacos and all were excellent. The carnitas were a bit salty but very delicious with the Sol beer. Splurge for the guacamole on the tacos.

Very flavorful tacos, we tried the chicken, steak and shrimp tacos. I think shrimp tacos was the winner. I wish they had more options for fish tacos maybe in the future!

Not a big Mexican fan but our group grabbed a quick bite on our way around the the village. I am not a big taco fan so didn't initially order anything but my friends were so happy with their selections, decided to try one. Yum! Little spicy but a perfect little snack - I especially like their shells. Good for a quick snack....

We got to Otto's right at alittle after 11am and the resturant was empty We tried one of each of the Tacos I had the Beef, Pork and Shrimp, and my Nephew had the mushroom, and Chicken overall enjoyed the Tacos but the Tortillas got muchy quick and did not care for that we also got the Chips and salsa, and Guacamole and chips forgot to get the fries Bummer. But while eatting the place got Hopping busy, which related to the cheap prices is why. It was very loud in the Resturant for my taste, but overall enjoyed Our Lunch and You get free Refills on your Drink which for NYC is exceptional. I was so happy that they have the Resturant now at 9th Ave inbetween 48th and 49th. HOT DOG.
