Z best TMS because of the downstairs underballs bar. Solid place for all carnivores.

Came here for dinner with Ron, Andy, and Ben before a party at the McKittrick. Had no choice but to endure the 40 min wait because everything else in the neighborhood sucks. The classic beef w/ mushroom gravy naked balls are absolutely perfect. Ask for extra focaccia if you need it.

Meatballs! Not just your regular run of the mill meatballs, but some pretty amazing meatballs. I went with the classic meatballs with roasted veggies and can I say, they were phenomenal! I also enjoyed a white sangria that did not disappoint. I wasn’t thrilled with my ice cream sandwich, but shared my friend’s and that was just to die for. We had the brown sugar ice cream between two soft oatmeal raisin cookies. How can I get this bar to Western Mass???

Some of the best meatballs I have ever had! I loved my Smash meatball sandwich (using the classic style meatball & sauce). I also had the best Moscow Mule cocktail. After seeing an ice cream sandwich go by us I knew I had to get one. Yep, pure heaven (brown sugar ice cream between oatmeal raisin cookies). I also need to rave about the friendly staff- A+. Can't wait to go back!

A friend told me about this restaurant so I decided to check it out. I ordered a small bucket of meballs to go. The service was quick and everyone there was very friendly. If I am back in that area again on my next trip I think I will try a pasta dish. Every pasta dish that went past me as I was waiting for my order looked delicious.

Great food though sometimes a little sloppy when they are busy, which is most of the time. Noise level too high for me so I usually get carry out.

Interesting Family Friendly & Casual The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean. Fairly loud music. Several choices in meat for meatballs. Tasty fresh salad. My teenage daughter gives it 5stars. I would give it 3stars because it is not very interesting. Great place for tourist or family.

I wasn't sure about this place, but its good and just fun. The quirky menu you fill out yourself, all the ball and special options make this place special. Service was great, the space was inviting, and the food creative. I enjoyed the mushroom sauce the best as well as the house special salad with butter lettuce and fresh avocado with roasted corn.

Hipster concept restaurant where you pick your type of meatballs (classic or chicken or veggies or port or sausage) and choose your sauce from tomato, meat, pesto etc. order sides of veggies or pasta. The concept was cute, but not really my favorite to eat. I thought it was challenging to figure out how to order. The wait staff was friendly. The returns is very loud. My friend had eaten at one of their other locations and loved it. This is why we ate there. I think she liked it more than me. With a drink it worked out to about $30 before tip. I probably would not return here.

I had really high hopes for this place especially after seeing it on Facebook and all the good ratings. The food was not bad, a little on the pricey side for a meatball sandwich. The service was horrible. We had a total of 3 waiters/waitress because the waitress could not handle the amount of people at lunch time. We wanted to try the bucket and she rolled her eyes and was like really. Overall the food was not bad, I might try another location to see if it's better the next time we go.

It takes a lot for me to give a low rating on TA but, on this visit, the Meatball Shop in Hells Kitchen deserved it. We've been to the Meatball Shop in the LES, Chelsea, UWS, Williamsburg and the Village. This was the 3rd time we've been to the HK one but the service we encountered on this visit was especially appalling. Our server let us sit for a little bit before coming to us. We didn't get water until after we had to ask her and this was after sitting for a bit when everyone else around us at least got this much from their servers. Our server came to our table a grand total of 3 times the whole night - to take our order, to bring us water after we had to ask for it after sitting for a while and then to bring us the check. She was totally disinterested and spent the whole night wiping down the newly cleaned dishes at the counter and paid her tables virtually no mind. What a shame because their food was good as usual so the service on this occasion offset the good food hence the average rating. We won't not come back because the food is good and the price is fair but if we get this particular server again, there's a good chance I would request another table or just sit at the bar instead.

I visited as part of a family group of 8, aged from 14 to 75! Everyone enjoyed the food and the overall experience. First off when I realized that we were going to be late, I called the restaurant to tell them we were not going to make our 6:00pm reservation and might be up to 45 minutes late arriving-they were totally cool about it, and the table was still waiting for us when we arrived, despite us being pretty late and the restaurant being full. We had the large group menu, there was less to choose from than in the normal menu, but there was still enough variety - the fact that you get to choose the type of meat/veggie balls and sauces in advance and can mix it up was fun. The veggie balls were super tasty! The choices kept both the carnivores and the vegetarians/vegans in the party happy! Our server was very attentive, despite the restaurant being really busy. Highly recommended for a group dining experience, and very child friendly!

Well, I grew up in an Italian family so I think I know meatballs. We just happened to be walking by and thought it was such a great idea, a restaurant focused on meatballs. We loved our food! We had the balls that were made with pork etc (classic) and the spicy meat sauce over polenta with a side of broccoli. We actually split it and it was def enough for 2 women! We were extremely happy with our dinner. Everything was perfect. The polenta was the best! Totally reccomend this place. We thought the atmosphere was fun. It's very casual. The service was great too!

The Meatball Shop offers a rich and varied dining experience for a comfort food classic. From the simple to the spicy; from the classic beef to the lentil-mushroom based veggie ball, TMS has a little something for everyone including luscious side dishes of roasted broccoli and creamed polenta with a nice mixture of Italian-inspired sauces. Stylish and hip with a little retro feel, The Meatball Shop has that authentic New York atmosphere and attitude while staying affordable. We stumbled across TMS on our way to the Chelsea Market and while later discovered there are several TMS restaurants around the city, it has a look and feel of originality that makes it worth the trip. Service was friendly, efficient and eager to please.

This place has some amazing meatballs. I ordered delivery because I was tired from flying all day. They got to my hotel hella fast! I'll definitely try them again.

This place is amazing. Amazing staff, upbeat welcoming environment. Excellent drinks, and amazing meatballs!!!! I love how they are very conscious of where their food comes from, and they inform their guests where they source the ingredients of all their house made fare. Very creative food ensembles! Highly recommend

Stop here before seeing Groundhog Day. Upon arrival we were immediately sat, loved the friendly vibe. Menu is fun - check the boxes with dry erase marker right on there. Server, Mark was very helpful with allergy concerns, hostess seemed attentive to all tables. Food was good, meatballs appeared underdone but were perfect. There was just a hint of pork for flavor. Sauce was super good. Desserts looked amazing, but we passed on those. Dinner for two under $35 in the city. Great value, good food. Looking forward to going again.

Our waiter from North Carolina at the Hell's Kitchen was wonderful. Meatball is very tasty at this place and the dessert is excellent as well. They have very good service. Host would come up to us and asked us, "How's everything." I would come back to The Meatball Shop again.

What a great concept: choose from a variety of perfectly scrumptious meatballs, and then decide which of the myriad of ways you want them served: With tomato sauce on pasta, with mushroom gravy on mashed potatoes, with barbecue sauce on salad, on risotto, on a sandwich? Loved it.
