Check out your favorite celebrities. You decide if they're real or not at this wax museum.

When we were at Times Square we passed by Madame Tussauds and visited this attraction late in the evening. We had purchased a 5-day New York Pass which entitled us free admission. You can take as many pictures as you like with your favourite stars!!! We were a bit frustrated when we went to the first floor and had to wait about 20 minutes at the automatic lift which opened by itself. On of the staff passed by and told us that we have to wait until lift opens. All the exhibits are scattered on the nine floors of this building. If you had visited London's Madame Tussauds you will not be impressed but if you never visited London's it's worth a visit.

When we prepared for our trip to NYC we research a lot of places in NYC and Madame Tussauds kept coming up as something to do. It does sound fun for kids, but skip it. Way overpriced to see a few dozen wax figures. Way too many other things to do.

Here's the deal. It's a wax museum, so you should know what you're getting before you go in. If you're really into pop culture and such, you'll probably have a great time and find it worth the price of admission, especially if it is your first time at a wax museum. If you're just not that into it, you're probably going to be pretty frustrated with your experience, especially because it is pretty pricey. We like movies and music, so it was kinda' fun. But, only a little. This would have been really disappointing had it not already been included in our SightSeeing Pass. I gave it an "average" because it is pretty much an average wax museum experience, and it almost got 2 stars because it is an average experience with an above-average price. One last thing -- a tip -- we were able to skip the line because we had the SightSeeing Pass. If you're using one the many tourist passesin NYC, let them know before they automatically direct you into the long general admission line.

Not many in there I knew it needs updating and not as good as London or Blackpool ones.. Not worth the queing or waiting around for ..other attractions I would rather have seen in nyc. Also you have to pay extra 5 usd on top of the price u have already paid to see the marvel waxworks..staff are lovely but wouldn't recommend a visit !

1st of all. The VIP line is the slowest. Not VIP at all. Huge lines. Get in early. We got in really early still had a line but by the time we left way out the door and this was a week day. Staff where very nice and friendly. The statues are ok. Some where great some just ok. Look I've done it now. Will I do it again? No. Was it fun? It was ok. Would I waste my time in the VIP line hell no. Just play dumb..

We went there because we had the New York pass. It was actually really lame. I would have been pissed if I wasted my money there. We've went to other wax museum and they were much nicer and the figures actually looked like they were supposed to. (I'm talking about the one in Tennessee FYI) but anyway the wax figures looked bad and there was about 3 to 8 figures in each room all spread out in like no order. It was a really crappy experience. So if I were you spend your money elsewhere.

After standing in the pouring rain for over an hour we finally managed to get into see this attraction. I was looking forward to going as we had been to Madame Tussauds in London and was not disappointed. What a let down. Some of the waxworks were very disappointing with the figures being modeled on the person years before and to say that their exhibition was out of date was an understatement. Whitney Houston, Prince, Michael Jackson and Notorious BIG were the big attractions. I get that these people are dead and maybe they should've had their own individual attraction however, not to have current pop stars such as Beyonce, JayZ, and Justin Bieber to name a few didn't make sense. There was a latino section though featuring artists like J-LO - the rest i'm afraid were beyond me being from Scotland !! I'd definitely say this attractions needs updated and better laid out. I would definitely not return.

We visited the museum on December and was crowded. unfortunately, we did not finish visiting all the rooms as I had Circle du Soleil tickets in less than 30 minutes. But the rooms visited are good and you should take your time to visit the entire place.

Massive place set on a couple of floors loads of wax works ranging from celebs, pop stars, sports people, politics etc. Due to been my second visit it was pretty much same old although a few attractions had changed. My only grumble would be there was a lot of kids in here so it was a struggle get a pic maybe I picked a bad day. Also the fact I paid to get in then you had to spend more money go on certain attractions/exhibits.

We visited here as it was part of our city pass. Glad we didnt actually have to hand money over to get in. It was quite pricey to enter and for what they were charging there wasnt a great deal to see. The figures werent roped off and you could take as many pics as you wanted. Some were good and some not. The prices were very high in the gift shop. Have been to other Tussauds and found them to be much better.

This was not one of my top picks of places to visit - but I was wrong - because it turned out to be much more fun than I thought and everyone had a blast taking photo's - great location and the staff where helpful and not at all pushy.....so I would recommend you leave more time for this - it exceeded my expectations

Waited well over a 45 mins in a small queue to kick off not a good start. , like to think maybe another receptionist would of been a benefit , payed $70 for the two of us and too be honest was not a great deal of wax works for your dollar ? Staff were very polite and professional , have been to other tussaud,s so not the first time

Had one last attraction on my explorer pass so decided to check out Madame Taussaud. It did not take a lot of time but was fun the play around in each theme. Great for taking pictures.

First off, if you do the CitySightSeeing Hop-On, Hop-off Bus tour, for your complimentary pass to an event (I believe you have to do at least the 2-day pass but unsure), you can choose this museum. So if you go that route, it is definitely a great value! Outside of that, I do believe the tickets are rather expensive. There is about four-five floors. It took us about 1.5 hours to go through. Although alot of the wax figures were not that great, i.e. Will Smith, Prince, Tyra Banks, etc., it is still a VERY fun place to visit - I would highly recommend going at least once. Many great and funny photo opps! The Marvel Exhibit was okay. The Marvel 4-D movie was better and very realistic! Overall, two thumbs up!

We went for the full package ticket which included 4d marvel and ghostbusters virtual game. I do think it is expensive for what you get too. The wax figures were very life like and good replicas of celebrities. It is over a few floors so you can take your time in there. We had a five minute wait for the marvel film which was good. The queuing system isn't the best and you have people queue jumping - we noticed this quite a lot in New York. The ghostbusters virtual game was really good and lasted about ten minutes. The only downside was the idiot letting you in - he spent more time eyeing up young girls and was not professional at all. We went approx 7pm In the evening so it wasn't too busy.

THE GOOD; great displays, Marvel's display is a great addition. THE BAD: the ghostbusters display not too great for extra money. THE UGLY; they charge you extra for skull island, ghostbusters and marvel display? Really?

I don't like to criticize but this place is way over priced and quick to see. There are not many figures and there is tons of space for a lot more. Pictures from other people are just as impressive as being there, I am sorry to say.
