Add a little kick to your dinner with the Muscovy Duck Breast sautéed with jalapeños and brussel sprouts.

Fascistic cocktails, food, service! Highly recommend. Service was just right! Attentive but not intrusive. Food, from starters to dessert, was delicious! And the cocktails were good to the last drop!

My daughter had been once before and was enthusiastic. We had wonderful meals. My daughter had the gnocchi and really liked it. I had the Sea Bream and it was fabulous!!! The sauce was incredible, the fish delicious and the squid flavored rice was a wow. We shared an eggplant appetizer, which was very well done. Charming environment with nice wine and drink list, topped by nice oldies selection playing. Nice choice for excellent food in relaxed setting.

I simply adore this place. Great ambiance and Great Staff. I have been here twice and the food is simply transcendent! I went with a few friends and we like tasting each other's dishes. So I had sampled at least 10 menu items in my last visit. The food is just delicious and inventive and most often surprising in its combination of flavors and textures.

we stumbled upon this as we waited for a table seating at a nearby restaurant and just loved the place. ,Matt the bartender was very attentive, gave great wine suggestions. So gorgeous with the candle light. Will def go back for dinner

A good meal, some excellent signature dishes spoiled by dim lighting & ridiculously loud rock & roll. Perfect for the in-set that eschews conversation for face-time.

We love all the little finds on West 4th, unfortunately can't say that about Fedora. Limited menu and the food was a little too rich. The mature 'd was very nice!

This small restaurant consists of a long bar and adjoining tables and standard atmosphere. Its attraction is the superb food, imaginatively prepared and served. Four of us had dinner and every dish was great. Starting with a mushroom appetizer that was out of this world, then an excellent gnocchi-lamb dish that I had, my wife had great fish and even the key lime pie was excellent which varies in quality among restaurants. Good wines were available for reasonable prices. The only downside was the noise from the very active bar, from which there is no escape in their limited space.

What a place... wonderful ambiance, brilliant service with humour and attention to detail. The food was incredible. I can't remember being this surprised and delighted by a menu for many years. The flavours were properly considered and not over done and the textures of all of our different dishes were perfect. I had oysters, pork belly and smokey aubergine. My companions had squid confit in ink, which was astonishing, gnocchi with braised lamb and the pollack. Each dish was cooked to perfection and considering how many things can and do go wrong with all of those meals, I was amazed at her skillfully they were prepared and presented. The cost of the dishes made it suitable for special occasions, but then, the skill and knowledge employed made it worth every penny!

a year ago ahead and ask if Amy is working the bar. If she is BEG to be seated at the bar and start dreaming about drinking her outstanding craft cocktails. If she's not working find out when she is and go one of those nights;) Amy made us feel so welcome and provided warm, professional service. Her menu recommendations were spot on. Do try the pork belly salad-it was delish. We also tried the gnocchi which were wonderfully soft pillows of yum. A veal special for the evening was perfect. We split an absolutely perfect piece of boozy pecan pie. I'd consider stealing in order to get the recipe;) Amy treated us to two glasses of Amaro after dinner-her compliments. Honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had in many months. Brava!

My husband and I were looking for a great Friday night spot and Fedora fit the bill and then some! We got a reservation at the bar and when we arrived the host greeted us warmly and took good care of us while we waited for our spots to open up. We each had a cocktail off their signature menu while we waited. The energy in this small restaurant was exciting, busy and happy - just what you want on a Friday night. The food was delicious - I had the bowl of lettuces and seared scallops; my husband had the blackened sea bream. We had the madeleines for dessert (why doesn't every restaurant offer cookies on their dessert menu?). Everything was delicious!!!! We highly recommend this amazing treat of a cozy restaurant.

I was planning a dinner for 4 people and instead of the usual places, we decided to try something different, that is why we picked Fedora. It is located downstairs on 4th in West Village. The ambiance is very cool, a long bench seat runs the length of the wall with tables and chairs and a long bar on the other side. Decor is very retro and looks like they have put a lot of thought in to the ambiance and decor. Kitchen is in the back but you can get glimpses of activity through the portal windows or when the doors swing open. Drinks are on the pricey side as well as the food, well at least from what I expected for a restaurant in the area. Our server was very professional but casual. We had scallops which were cooked well and with good flavour, Mushrooms, Pork Salad, Pork Chop, Fried Chicken, Gnocci with a side of brussel sprouts and snap peas. All enjoyable dishes, good flavour. We had a bottle of spanish red as well. All in all, a very enjoyable night in a cozy restaurant with a lot of character, professional wait staff and well executed food.

My friend is a local so she picked here. It had a great vibe, lovely host and wait staff. The food was really good too. My only two comments are that the tables are really small (if it's more than two of you dining) and check the additional ingredients in the dishes. When my fish dish came out it was swimming in a cream sauce but there was no mention of this on the menu...

We visited this lovely rustic restaurant on a weekday evening. It has a great atmosphere and feels very much like a European wine bar. The menu was small but with some excellent choices on it, so to start we ordered the Ceviche of squid and snapper crudo, the squid was a little too vinegary for my taste but the snapper was delicious with a delicate flavour. We followed this with steak tartare for me and the pork chop for my companion with sides of aubergine with miso and sesame and roasted Brussels sprouts. Both dishes were lovely and the side of Brussel sprouts was a real surprise definitely not to be missed! Our waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable about the food. So why not 5 stars? Three reasons: 1. The music although great was a little loud, not a problem for most people, until you get over the age of 50! 2. The tables like a lot of NYC restaurants are a little too close together. 3. The squid starter had got the balance of flavours wrong. However, on the whole I loved Fedora and will definitely return next time we're in New York

The cozy ambiance is perfect for a date night! We recommend sitting at the bar because the bar tender was so attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming. The food was unreal. We just split 4 appetizers and a dessert and that was perfect. Conch special was unique and had so many flavored. Pork belly salad was also unique and a must. We highly recommend this romantic hot spot!!

Three girls celebrated a birthday at this elegant, hip restaurant. We dined at the bar and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Through 5 starters, 2 entrees, and a dessert, we were not disappointed! You must try the deviled eggs and the mushroom medley! It was a fantastic night with bite after bite of exquisite food!

Tasty food, knowledgeable bar staff and a great atmosphere. Interesting daily specials left no room for desert. Book unless you're happy to sit at the bar, which is where we ended up but the bar man was great and made dining a pleasure.

This is the bar and restaurant you dream of finding in NY. An old speakeasy, down some stairs and then you enter a bar that looks unchanged for a hundred years. Food outstanding and innovative. Bar staff are among best in city. Hard pressed to find a negative but it is loud being a small space.

I have been to Fedora 3 times. I enjoy the restaurant setting. It is small and cozy with great service. The waiters know the menu and can recommend wines without pushing price on the wine. The specials are worth trying. The to share steak is worth trying.

Dinner: ok but nothing special. Rather overpriced for what you get. The steak was nicely cooked but taste-wise nothing too special Service: we sat at the bar, service was ok.The barman was rather too keen to pour too much wine in our glasses from our bottle, we didnt appreciate it. Venue: nice vibe, nice crowd Overall a good place, but more of a bar rather than a restaurant.
