Bouchon's best offerings might be the (expensive) fancy desserts: elaborate verrines and parfaits, and seasonal tarts in fruit and dark chocolate flavors.

Keller & Co. apply their prettifying powers to the lowly doughnut. Their cream-filled work of art is crowned with crispy chocolate and vanilla beads.

More proof that Thomas Keller can do no wrong: His chocolate chunk cookies are super buttery and taste like homemade would taste if Thomas Keller lived in your home.

These are without a doubt the crunchies canelés on this list. The crust is very crispy and thick, which leaves room for only a small amount of custard inside. But these mini-canelés are expensive.

Take a quick trip to Paris in this wonderful bakery. I love the macaroons, croissants and pastries. They have salads and sandwiches too. It's a nice little getaway in the middle of the hustle and bustle. They don't have a bathroom, but you can go downstairs into the mall.

Welcoming faces behind the bar. Clean and neat bakery offering different types of coffee, sandwiches, sweets. The food is good and tasty however considering that we were there for breakfast the bill was considerable.

Great selection of high quality pastries and cakes for breakfast! Amazing quality of coffee and cappuccino. Had probably the best almond croissant ever. Highly recommended!

Breakfast: We had a ham croissant sandwich, a bacon cheese and chive scone, fruit and coffee. They use real butter. It'll be okay: you can diet tomorrow. It's generally delicious. The ham may have ruined one for the best non-France croissants I've had. Don't get me wrong: it was very good. But the croissant probably deserved to stand alone it was so good. Coffee is good, but I'm not sure I'd go there specifically for the coffee. The fruit helped me feel virtuous. But - just enjoy. It's counter service, so not fancy, but otherwise good enough for senior executives. It's patio is surrounded by bushes and you almost feel like your not in the middle of Rockefeller Center. The people are nice and food is made to order to the extend baked goods are made to order.

We went here after watching Today show outside (it is right next to Today show). The coffee was great and the blackberry croissant was amazing.

We enjoyed the coffee, pastry, sandwiches and salads. They are all good and fresh. Nice location and tasty food for a quick sit down or to go.

We stepped in this bakery for a sweet treat. I had the lemon tart. It was very good. Prices are high but I don't expect anything different for NYC.

We stopped here for pastries and coffee. I asked for my cinnamon bun to be heated and was told they have no microwaves!!! The bun was ok, but my coffee was cold. I told them and they gave me another one. Much better places to go to then this one.....never again!!!

Just across from Rocky Plaza, behind a faux garden hedge, sits a little shop that has baked goods and sandwiches. People dined in the outer portion, others bought take-away items. Yummy!

Popped in for a coffee & croissant. Just excellent, best croissants in New York! Very reasonably priced. Only down side not really anywhere to sit.

Excellent ham and cheese banquet reminded me of Paris. They have all sorts of goodies here. Came for the macaroons for my grand daughters. And their tarts. Can't be beat.

Ate here while waiting for the Today Show. I work for Williams Sonoma so was familiar with the Bouchon Bakery brand as we sell it it in box mixes, which is excellent. The pastries are just as good as the ones we get in Paris, fresh and flakey. Also served sandwiches which looked good.

Teenage daughter and I were touring for a day. Wanted a quick, simple lunch since we already had dinner plans after a show. This fit the bill perfectly. We each had a sandwich and daughter had a macaroon. The macaroon was amazing!

Cafe latte is thumbs up creamy frothy their breakfast special that day was bacon egg cheese in a biscuit and the biscuit was so soft and buttery, grilled cheese was ok too. Buying 5 items amounted to $30 seating area is limited however the view is good for people watching around the Rockefeller plaza or watch the NBC news/today show crowd.

We needed some quick breakfast after standing at the Today Show so braved the snaking line and glad we did. Just the sheer selection makes your mouth water! So pretty, you want everything! We settled on their bacon, egg & cheese biscuit and it was SO good! No places to sit so went across the street and found a bench! Great coffee too and fun to people watch and watch the pigeons!! Ha ha!! Enjoy!

This is the bakery you can see outside on the plaza when you watch the Today Show. My daughters got breakfast sandwiches and I had a blueberry muffin. They tasted good, but each item was pretty pricey. It was busy when we arrived and inside seating was minimal. There were some tables outside; however, it was quite chilly that day. We waited for a seat inside and felt rushed to eat and move along quickly so that someone else could have our spot.

Efficient servers, great treats, clean seating area, fun location. What more could you ask for?? We got the Lemon tart --$6.25---great!; the almond croissant $4---great!! and the chocolate chunk cookie --$3.50 ---Great!!! Wonderful experience. Oh, and try the Fugheddaboutit ($3.95) by the register!! LOL

While we stopped here for the sweets, my husband and son split a sandwich. At the end of our trip, we were talking about our favorite meals in the city and our teenage son said his favorite meal was the roasted chicken sandwich from Bouchon! It almost makes me wish I'd had the sandwich instead of the croissant! Bouchon always has stellar treats. This visit, we had the chocolate almond croissant and the birthday cake macaron. Bouchon macarons are impeccable and also BIG! I've been here on a few visits and have never been disappointed with a dessert.

Had breakfast here a couple of times - pastries excellent. There isn't a lot of room if you want to sit down in the bakery - there is a small patio outside - but you will need to run the gauntlet of some very tame (and hungry) sparrows ;-). Very convenient for 5th Ave and Rockefeller Centre
