Berkli Park is an absolute gem in Manhattan. My wife and I stumbled upon it while exploring the city. The sandwiches are filling and full of healthy and delicious ingredients, they also have a great selection of local craft beer as well. This is on my list of places to eat again when I'm back in NYC.

We visited this restaurant when on the Lower East Side-- discount with your Tenement Museum ticket! The food was so fresh and exactly what you need when you are taking long walks through the city. Fresh salads with satisfying proteins and delicious surprises (try the Thanksgiving dinner in a sandwich!). Also, most meals come with a hearty slice of bread that you may want to save for later! SO filling. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the city passing by before wandering the LES for several more hours. As the Lower East Side is a favorite neighborhood, I am returning to this restaurant in my travels. (I think I actually sighed when eating--the food was that good!)

We were going to the Tenement Museum and had enough time to grab a bite to eat, Berkli Parc is nearby so we gave it a go. So glad we did. We had the most delicious sandwich! We weren't starving, so we split one and it was plenty. The portions are very generous and the food is not your standard fare. Everything had a unique twist to it and it all worked. While the prices are a little on the high side (not too bad, though), the value is definitely there. As I said, excellent ingredients and big portions. But there are some budget choices as well. Service is friendly and it's quick. Tenement Museum and Berkli Parc--a great combo!

Stumbled across this place after abandoning the wait at Russ and Daughters. No regrets at all. Simple, clean, well-prepared food. Not a 5 star restaurant mind you but it gets 5 stars for what it does. Service was just as good. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone.

I stopped here for breakfast before heading over to the Tenement Museum and I was glad I did! I had an amazing special of banana bread french toast and coffee. Unfortunately, I don't think the french toast is always on the menu, but I would imagine anything would be great here! It was one of the best things I've ever tasted! The staff was also very friendly, and since I sat alone "at the bar", they were nice to engage me in conversation.

I've just had a great lunch which consisted of the best lentil soup I have ever tasted. My husband had the nachos which was enormous. He said it was a winner, too. Have lunch here when you visit the Tenements Museum and get 10% discount on top of their already very reasonable prices. Even the beer was reasonably priced.

We walked past here many times and it looked inviting and so we stopped in at happy hour (which goes for 4 hours) and stayed for longer than we had intended, such is the homely atmosphere of the place. Attentive wait staff who know what they are doing and do it well. We visited for brunch on the morning we left NYC and were not disappointed. Tasty breakfast and great service in a superb location on the Lower East Side.

Good option to Starbucks which is diagonally across the street. Friendly local crowd and internet access.

We found this place by chance after visiting the Tenement museum. My husband and I both ordered the soup and sandwich combo. It was the perfect amount of food, and absolutely delicious. We both had the lentil soup, and I had the Chipotle chicken press while my husband had the Ham and goat cheese. The food came out quickly and piping hot. We have absolutely no complaints and would recommend you give this place a try if you are in the area.

We had tickets for the tenement museum(this is important) we were early and wanted lunch. We didn't want Starbucks so choose this place nearby and it was the right choice on several levels. Friendly staff, lovely wine, delicious food, very reasonably priced. The pleasant surprise was the discount we were given because we were going to the tenement museum. The reason for the discount simply because "they are our friends" we were told by our server.

I loved the chipotle chicken salad panini and tried the banana bread french toast. Both were great. Really good coffee. The whole group waited on us. Super fast service. A warm welcome and clean rest rooms too.

Stopped here for late lunch after a tour at the Tenement Museuma round the corner. Intersting and delicious sandwiches on the menu with fairly large portions. Good hard cider. Must be free wifi as many people were plugged in. Service adequate, if borderline cold, and on the slow side.

Arriving early for our Tenement Museum tour and in need of a light lunch, we were recommended to try Berkli Parc. The tables outside looked appealing, but the noise of the Delancey Street traffic persuaded us to sit inside. Our welcome was friendly and the staff menu explanations helpful. The seating is basic and comfortable, while sandwiches are well presented and excellent value for money. The coffee came as close as we have found in New York to our European taste. There was no rush or encouragement to leave as soon as we had finished: the atmosphere is relaxed with music playing in the background. We left happy and satisfied. Strongly recommended in an area where choice is somewhat limited.

This is a small café that happens to have a restaurant. They serve a variety of salads, sandwiches, and a selection of breakfast dishes as well. Although I did not have it, the banana bread french toast looked delicious. The chicken and apple salad was very good, though I my chicken was a bit on the dry side. That aside, the meal was quite good. The restaurant definitely feels more like a café, and I personally enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere. There's also a nice patio for when the weather is nice.

One of my favorite places to grab a bite and glass of wine. Sitting near the sidewalk it almost feels like Paris. I had the Summer Chicken Salad grilled chicken, avocado, mango, cucumber, roma tomatoes, and mixed greens, tossed with a garlic-soy dressing. My wife had the Quinoa and roasted chickpeas served with mixed greens, tomatoes, herbs, scallions, cucumbers and orange yogurt vinaigrette. Bothe were excellent and all for a little more than $20! In NYC that is a great lunch for a great price. The wine we drank helped make the day and we will always be back.

Like other reviewers, we stopped into Berkli Parc for lunch after a tour at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. It was a hot day and we tried searching Yelp, but saw Berkli Parc and ducked in to get out of the heat. What a lucky decision! The restaurant has comfortable, pleasant decor and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The menu has lots of options, including many healthy choices. My daughter and I had one of their fresh, delicious, HUGE salads and my nephew had a chicken salad sandwich - all delicious. They also have a good wine and beer menu. I had a delectable pinot grigio. The service was excellent from beginning to end and the prices are very reasonable, especially for NYC. Instead of just happening on this excellent restaurant like we did, make sure to PLAN a stop here before or after a tour at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum (also very highly recommended).
