Perla is my new favorite restaurant in NYC. Everything is incredible. Don't miss the Pici with Duck Ragu & Foie Gras, Leg of Lamb & Belly, or Beef Tongue. Read about my visit on WinstonWanders below!

In the heart of the West Village, Perla is a culinary gem. My mussels with trout roe were delicious, as was the chicken with nduja although the chef could've been more generous with the potato puree. Fun, vibrant and VERY loud, Perla draws a mostly young crowd whose conversations are shouted not spoken. I was not the only one bothered by the stratospheric noise level; at 9PM, the waiters closed the windows to comply with a city noise ordinance. If superb food beautifully presented and attentively served is your pleasure--and you don't mind the racket--Perla knocks it out of the park.

We found this restaurant by accident but was a very positive surprise. The service was very polite and professional. We had lamb for starter which was delicious, pasta and chicken for main course. All of them were very tasty. The place has a very nice atmosphere and the entire staff is very kind. I would highly recommend this place.

Great neighborhood, attentive staff, fun atmosphere, and the food surpassed my expectations which are not easy to meet. We were there for dinner, but will return again for brunch. I'm disappointed that I live uptown, but that will probably keep me from becoming one of those underfoot regulars if I lived closer to this eatery!

Great casual food with a real flair. Great burger but nothing beats the one across the street at bar sardine. Excellent eggs with polenta. Not as crowded and rustic as Jeffrey's. All in all a good place for a bite in the Village.

Stopped by for dinner prior to a show around the corner. The atmosphere and staff are amazing. Beautiful place and greatest down to earth staff. We had salads and two types of pasta. The portion size seemed very small for the price. Salad was about 11.00 for a few peaces of lettuce and pasta was around 25.00 for a small bowl. I have to say the quality was great but still seemed rich. Would definitely go back if in the area but I am not sure I would make a special trip.

My fiancé and I managed to find a table in this little cafe/bistro in Greenwich village. Menu was really interesting and delicious, and service very friendly. Reasonably priced too - and I'm not sure what we did to deserve it but we were given a free desert!

Had brunch here with friends on New Year's morning. Good menu with lots of b'fast or lunch options (pancakes, eggs, burger, spaghetti, etc.). Prices were good, service was very good and the food was tasty. Decent space between the tables so you're not elbowing your neighbors.

This smaller Italian restaurant was busy on a Tuesday night. The four of us dined family style and had our fill after sharing 2 appetizers, 2 pastas, 2 entrees and 2 deserts. They were all unique, ample and delicious. The service was attentive and not rushed. This would make a great date spot or a fun venue for friends.

Stopped in on a Friday Evening following a film. Such a charming spot. Marvellous staff. Fun bar. Excellent Italian - the first course plates are perfect for sharing. Pastas and Mains are very well-prepared. The place gets very busy after 22.00 h - fantastic Euro crowd with the occasional movie star passing-bye. It's a really great West Village resto. Do give it a try.

Visited their sister bar across the street and ended up here on their recommendation - service was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. Helped us pick some nice meals and were both chatty but not too in our faces (we sat at the bar). Food was delicious - lamb beast plate a particular fave.

After a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and One World Observatory, we stopped at Perla for dinner. Even though it was Friday at 6:00pm and all the other restaurants were crammed with happy hour revelers, Perla was quiet at first, then began to swell with couples, seemingly on dinner dates. Many of whom appeared to be regulars. The staff was very attentive, the meals were very creative and flavorful, the wine chilled perfectly and soon we too felt like regulars. The manager joined us for a glass of wine and we discussed other restaurant experiences we had during our annual visit to NYC. He gave us his card and asked us to call ahead next year. We will definitely do so!

This is a more casual version of the Perla restaurant that used to be in Minetta Lane. The pasta dishes we ordered were all good. Ambiance and decor are nice and prices are reasonable (not cheap though). Service was a little nonchalant (took forever for them to come and take our order - appetizer was served shortly after the pasta courses).

Hamnade här av en slump då grannrestaurangen var stängd. Mycket trevlig personal, fantastiskt goda drinkar och framförallt riktigt bra mat! Ett ställe som jag verkligen kan rekommendera andra att gå till!!

Four of us dined at Oerla last week. The staff were excellent, food amazing & ambience perfect! I loved my chicken dish but the asparagus, cobia, risotto & pici were equally yummy!

Comfortable neighborhood setting and service is on point. We were passing through and dropped in for brunch. The green accompanying pork chop was over salted. Ingredients were fresh and food was ok.

We are New Yorkers but have never been here. Knew we were going to Smalls Jazz Club and decided to pick very close by so just decided on instinct to go. Were given a 'bar table' - which we liked better than a regular one. Beautiful leather banquette with a large marble table. Our service was stellar! Lovely informed waiter - she offered samples of wine and was friendly and kept an eye on the table. The manager stopped by too! But, of course, best of all, we were thrilled with our meal. Decided to go with sharing plates: spectacular gnocci; lamb breast with a chili sauce that my husband mostly refused to share!; gorgeous asparagus on top of burata with a drizzle of olive oil infused with mint, chervil and tarragon and then crunchy bread crumbs atop; and lovely grilled octopus. great wine choices and we splurged to have a dessert which was heavenly. when, in talking to us, she heard it was our wedding anniversary, she brought over two glasses of muscato - with candles. it was so sweet (we were just happy to be having a staycation in nyc!). we really had a great evening and meal and will come back with friends in tow. thoughtful and well-executed food. www.tripadvisor.com/showuserreviews-g60763-d2645414-r381412699-perla-new_york_city_new_york.html#
