Weekday brunch is definitely the way to go, no wait. Weekend brunch is definitely crowded. Either or this place has very good food. The salmon egg benedict is definitely my favorite.

Really good menu and delicious breakfasts, enjoyed here on several occasions during our stay visiting family. Coffee is really good too. As is welcome and service. Good atmosphere.

We eat here often; we're locals and my spouse loves this place. The food is always very good and the staff are so warm and friendly. Really, the staff add to the experience. BYOB. My only credible complaint is that it gets loud here during peak times. Louder than you're thinking. I do however, recommend this place without hesitation. Nice background music too. Two side notes: I wish my spouse wouldn't push to eat here twice a week. Ugh. We would eat dinner here twice a week if I didn't protest. Also, Raymond, what's up with not having that special summer blueberry pie all year 'round? If you had it all year 'round, we would eat dinner there at least twice a week! That pie is something I think about all year long. I really do.

We went in for Sunday brunch and it was lively and had a great retro feel. We were on vacation and ate out a lot for two weeks. This was the best meal we had. Out of curiosity I tried a vanilla egg cream, and I had the Norwegian Benedict. The eggs were done to perfection and I savoured every mouthful of the Norwegian Benedict.

Our family loves to pop in Raymond's for breakfast, lunch or dinner! We have tried most of the menu and can say that we've never had a bad meal! Staff is lovely! Drink assortment is delightful! The blueberry pie is crazy good!! It's a go-to spot for all the locals! Seating both inside or out. Can recommend with confidence!

Went with my husband for breakfast. My husband had the steak with chimichurri and eggs. Which he enjoyed. I had the French Toast and it was just right. The staff and our waiter were so attentive and pleasant. I love that your taken back in time with its decor.

Never thought this diner would have such amazing food! The breakfasts were delicious.. The French Toast was scrumptious, eggs Benedict was great and the presentation of everyone's meals were beautiful. Service was good, very attentive staff! Fun place and kid friendly.

I've been to Raymond's on a couple of occasions now. Inside has a diner like feel but the food quality is much better than one would expect in a setting like that. The food is always excellent, whether it is at breakfast or dinner. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Outdoor dining is available out on the sidewalk. One can go for a quick cheap bite or nice dinner depending on what you order, also a great place for families. It is BYOB. It can get busy at peak meal times so you might end up sitting very close to your neighbors, although that's to be expected at any popular restaurant.

Is it a diner? Is it a restaurant? One thing for sure, the food is top notch!!! Whether it's breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner. It's always amazing! Easy going atmosphere, cool hip vibe. Great people, very metropolitan and open. The food is better then most high end restaurants in Nj! Most wouldn't think of going for dinner, but in fact it's top notch!!!! This is coming from a foodie and a snob!!! Fish-salmon or special is always amazing!

I admit that I have not been here in several weeks but I am so very glad I did. Really friendly servers and perfect outdoor seating. The pasta - perfecto' with meat sauce and my wife chose the Gazpacho which was also nicely prepared and very tasty. Don't forget to get the wine right next to Raymond's and they will pay for your parking in the deck. So I am saving the very best for last- that's the blueberry pie. Please do not let this pass you by. It was as good as my grandma made "back when". I mean, real blueberry- not canned or surrounded with gooey sugar and corn starch. Just thick freshly mad pie.

A somewhat distinctive menu. Top quality food, large portions and a caring staff starting with hostesses such as Naomi who was concerned that we had chairs that were comfortable given that I have a bad back. Our waitress made sure that our needs were promptly filled without being obtrusive. ***The fish Tacos lived up to its outstanding reputation. The kale salad was extremely well prepared. Recommended. Spend two or three dollars more here and receive excellent value for the money spent.

Consistent, well tuned, delicious food- all the time. Their French Toast, Omelets and one-of-a-kind Whole Green Bread, make this place a "go to" every time- especially when we have out of state visitors. Great customer service, friendly staff and outdoor dining as well in good weather.

Went to dinner with my sister Cookie and her friend Susan. It was a little after 7 pm and we waited for an outside table we had a bottle of wine. We were seated quickly and discussed the menu. I have been her quite a few times so talked about the choices and what I had liked. It turned out we all ordered the Roasted chicken. We talked and laught and really enjoyed our meal and the wine. It was a perfect night for outdoor dining. We sat there for almost 2 hours and service was great and a good ending to a great day. Thank you Raymond's for a great meal and atmosphere.

This place has a huge reputation that precedes it. On a Mon afternoon, the place was packed. Not sure if they were all locals since Montclair is not exactly a tourist destination. The menu is quite eclectic with enough options for those who do not survive on killed and dead animals. It was a pleasure to see gazpacho soup on the menu and it was excellent. Service is efficient. Prices are on the steep side.

Fish and chips, the fish was very greasy and the chips were cold. rather slow service and freezing cold inside. Not the best atmosphere.

We've been going to Raymond's since it was a small sandwich shop. I love this place. The food is excellent and it has an upbeat casual decor. I would have given it five stars except that it's very noisy. Too noisy for my husband and a number of our friends. We only go there now if we can sit outside or if it's an off hour and not crowded. The strategic placement of some acoustical tiles would solve the problem. Please, Raymond, put them in so we can come more often.

On A nice day, lovely to grab an outdoor lunch. Salads, burgers, fish are on the menu. Good basic food. Casual and non serious atmosphere. It feels like the THE Montclair lunch spot, to me.

Be prepared to wait. Because even though I went on a weekday at 10:45am, there was a 20 minute wait. It had been a long time since I was there, but it was highly recommended to return so I did. The menu was excellent and pretty much allowed you to order whatever you want (breakfast or lunch items) which really opened up your options. We also loved all the vegetarian options, in fact I chose the vegetarian burger. My guest ordered a tuna melt which came with homemade potato chips which were fabulous. Mine came with shoe string fries, reminiscent of McDonalds Fries WHICH IS A GREAT THING!!!! My favorite. They also had wonderful drink options including old fashioned egg creams, and many coffee drinks. This is certainly a place I would revisit for brunch.
