The wings are some of the best wings known to man. Ugh! Delicious

Classy bar, great food. A little pricy but a great place to hang nonetheless.

Please do yourself a favor and get the mussels and the truffle fries. We get them every time. Delicious. Love Egan's.

Warm and comfortable interiors. Love the name of the placemat painting "One Day, Son"......Mushroom Bisque was amazing.

I love this place. Some of my favorites are the Wasabi Crusted Tuna, Soft Shell Crab Tacos, and the Corned Beef & Cabbage spring rolls. Also, they have a "secret menu". You have to be in the know.

Can always count on a good beer and solid pub type food. Great ambiance. Just a fun experience - great fries!

Montclair institution with beautiful interior, long bar, gourmet food, and most importantly umpteen bears on tap is always a reliable place to go for an evening out with friends. Can be obnoxiously crowded on weekends. Small menu, but gourmet. Very knowledgeable waiters who can guide your beer selections. On warm nights, the deck out back is a great place to eat fish tacos and drink a bloody mary.

We love Egan's - there are great options for everyone on the menu: pizza, burgers, homemade chicken tenders for the kids....awesome salmon, steak salad, elegant dishes for adults, or wings & great apps. You really can't go wrong. Hard to get in on a busy weekend night, but worth the wait!

I love this place. They have the best corn beef and cabbage rolls ever. I order them nearly every time I go there. The service is great! The wings are great too! I recommend this place for lunch and dinner!

Food is good, especially cottage pie, the shrimp and oysters and fish and chips. Fairly good desserts.. Wait staff could be a little more friendly and helpful and not give the feeling of being least our server was not the best, but the ambience and food, along with our group outweighed his less than good service. Slight sense of being rushed so another party can be seated but altogether well worth a visit.

We came here for dinner with a group of eight including a baby and really enjoyed our meal. I think the most interesting – we had was the corn beef and cabbage spring rolls. They were very tasty and not too greasy. I'm never seen these anyplace else which was fun. I had their classic burger which was exactly what I was looking for. The kids pizza was not as tasty as I expected even though they had a guy making them by hand right next to our table.

This is a very relaxing place in Montclair where surprisingly, there really isn't any parking issues. The wines were very good. Had a Moroccan kabab skewer with lamb which was perfect.

I grew up in an Irish-American household and I can still spot instant mashed potatoes from the first forkful. You can get away with it on a gravy-laden dish like Shepherd's Pie, but not as a side dish plain. My potatoes at lunch today were so fake. To be fair, I also ordered an Irish-Asian fusion dish--corned beef and cabbage spring rolls, which were delicious. A tad greasy but very yummy.

Love this restaurant in Montclair. It has a little bit of everything..a full bar for meeting friends, for happy hour, after work gatherings, along with an appetizing dinner menu enjoyable to families or couples. The menu is small, not overwhelming yet offers many choices. Pricing is moderate, not inexpensive but also not crazily overpriced. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for and is presented with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.I also enjoy the Sangria, red or white is equally delicious. Service is good, staff is attentive. A newer waitress, Marie, was very personable and knowledgeable of the menu - being aware of new items added and items on the menu that were changed from their past menu..impressive! you will not be disappointed!

Egan's is a nice place to get together with friends or for a couple looking for a night out. They have a basic menu with a few "Irish" dishes thrown in to live up to their being an Irish Pub. I had the Bangers and Mash and it wasn't bad. The burger my friend had looked good. The place gets busy but the service is prompt and the staff very friendly. The place is good for lunch, dinner or drinks. They have an extensive list of beer to choose from. Their "Seasonal" beers may not actually be representative of the actual season. For instance, even though it was December when we were there they had a few summer beers on tap. If going for the first time and not familiar with the area in Montclair, parking is scarce but there is a parking lot in the back of the restaurant. If using GPS, just drive around the block once you have reached your destination.

We love Egans, and our family likes to go on Sun evening. Our mother in law uses a wheelchair and the staff is very helpful with us. There really isn't a bad offer on the menu- my favorite is the hanger steak or the salmon, but there is no bad choice. Great cold beer selection, nice wines, and comfortable atmosphere.

I like Egan's. It's a good bar with a great atmosphere in a great space. By and large, the staff are friendly and the drinks are good. But the food is just too expensive for what it is. I like the fish and chips and that remains my safe choice, but too many times I've been disappointed by trying something else. The steaks (especially the specials) are NYC prices but not as good and you can easily feel a bit let down by your choice. Parking's good and easy, the veggie side dishes are good and the kids always enjoy themselves, but paying Manhattan prices in MTC isn't always great...

4 of us went around 7pm. We started at the bar, since there was a wait, but it was less than 15 minutes.(the old " order a drink first" trick.) The place has great bones- very nice environment, and the restaurant has a parking lot on the back side of Walnut St, which is great, bc parking on Walnut is metered and limited. We ordered a variety of entrees- all decent. My only issue, was the lack of service. At one point, I actually had to hunt down our server to ask her for drinks. Management should spend a little time training their staff. It's not their fault. They do not know what they do not know...

I love this restaurant/bar. It is as authentic an Irish Pub as you can get in the US. The owners, Chris and Sharon Egan are incredible and take great pride in everything they do (Chris even comes complete with the Irish accent). Their food is wonderful and they offer a great selection of beer, wine and drinks.

The food is delicious here, everyone always happy when I've been. The hummus / falafel platter appetizer is really spot on, can't get enough of it (even though it's quite large). The hanger steak is my favorite, and that's coming from someone who only eats beef 1-2 times a month and has never ordered a steak anywhere by here. Shoestring fries are perfect and crazy. One big downside is the service is very slow. It's fine for me because I don't go there when rushed, but if I didn't go in knowing that, I'd be turned off by it. I get the kitchen being slow when backed up on a weekend night, but our waiter kept disappearing on things that don't require the kitchen. Drinks (even water) took a while, a cup of coffee 15 minutes. Another waitress kept helping out since we couldn't find him. That said, food is fantastic and I'll certainly be back.

Love Egan's for drinks, but I've eaten there numerous times out of convenience & have been underwhelmed every time. Great atmosphere, lots of tables, but not worth staying for food.

Egans is a very dependable spot for eating and drinking. One can be sure of a large selection of beverages (there is a nice bar area if drinking is your purpose) and a consistently well-prepared meal. There are several dining areas to accommodate both large and small groups (though it can get quite busy on a Friday or Saturday night). The menu is fairly extensive with the usual suspects (salads, burgers, ribs) as well as some interesting twists (curried chicken korma, cottage pie). it is not a cheap night out, but it is quite reasonable for what you get. Walnut Street is very popular these days with a growing number of restaurants, so parking might get tight. I have never been dissatisfied after visiting this fine establishment.
