It has the potential to be a great spot, but it falls way short. The best thing going for it is the beer selection. Other than that, it's LOUD, our bartender was a GRUMPY little man-boy, and it smells like SEWER half the time (gross!). The food is only MEDIOCRE at best too. Guess I shouldn't have expected too much, considering it's the same owner as Nick's Pub, which is a dump...

This place looks very uninteresting from the outside but creates its own atmosphere from within. Large bar area if you like to sit at the bar .... even with purse hooks ladies...as well as quite a bit of sitting at tables for two people, groups of four or looks like they can be pushed together for larger groups. We sat at the bar and received excellent service. Happy Hour is from 4 to 7 and is a great deal. Draft beer is one dollar off, well drinks three dollars, pizza half price and I believe appetizers are half price also. I had the Odelle Easy Street wheat beer normally priced at five dollars but on happy hour special for four. It is excellent! We also ordered the buffalo chicken pizza which was very good, the cheese bites which were different but also very good, and the chicken strips which have a special coating on them. There is limited parking on their lot and it was filled up before happy hour was half over. There is some street parking on a side street though. I highly encourage you to try this very casual bar with good food and an excellent beer selection.

Food was okay and seemed to be a pretty good value for your money, but we were not impressed with the ambiance. It was very "bar-like." Maybe if you like that sort of thing and you are drinking a lot of alcohol, you would enjoy it, but to just go as a family for a nice dinner, I don't recommend it. I had a veggie burger that was fair, but the slaw was tasteless. The rest of my party had burgers and chicken. They said they were good. Be warned, though, if you order a 10 oz. burger, it comes as two thick 5 oz. burgers stacked on top of each other. Kind of weird and hard to eat.

Stopped at this local Sports Bar after being recommended by Hotel Staff. Had Appetizer sampler and it was great and homemade. Bar has huge Tap beer selection and nice menu selections. Nice place staff and customers were friendly even thoughwe were MN Wild fans watching the Wild beat St. Louis.

Walked in the a covered porch area with heaters. It was empty but filled by the time we left. Appetizers were really good. Burgers, ok. Drinks were good and nice selection of beers. TV's sprinkled around. Maybe more TV's would brighten this really dark bar. Waitress needed to lighten up a bit. She was crabby and we still tipped her very generous. She would be the only reason I would not come back.

Fun little place on the hill. The food is good but they have a really good selection of local STL brews. Overall fun place.

Excellent appetizer choices from basics like chicken fingers to fried goat cheese medallions. Quick service and staff that was happy to provide us individualized checks. Great specials including well drinks for $3, wine for $4 and $1 off drafts. All appetizers are half price with the exception of combo plates. Outdoor patio options as well as typical bar atmosphere.

Tried SoHa for the first time on Happy Hour today during a Cards doubleheader in NY. Called in advance to find out what the food/drink specials were - bartender was helpful, 1/2 priced apps, $2 burgers and drink specials so i headed in. upon arriving was notified of $.50 wings during Cards games and ordered a burger and boneless wings. The burger arrived as described a piece of hamburger meat on a bun with lettuce and pickles - all sides extra $ at menu price. the basket of boneless wings were burnt, accompanied with a very small dipping sauce and arrived cold even tho the place was <1/4 full. On top the bad food experience i was charged for a soda that i never ordered - would have been nice to have been informed in advance that a beverage purchase was required. Paid the tab and ran out the door - won't be making another stop here, too many other quality reputable local owned places to choose from on Hampton in South City.

Our son took us here.. Lots of great craft beers. This place is hopping! It was an evening for Blues hockey and Cardinal baseball. Blues fans, mostly 30's packed the place. It's small, but service was good. We ordered dinner.. My SOHA prime dip was great! Our son ordered the BLT he was excited as it was pork belly, not just bacon.. It was not a hit. Over cooked. My husband had a grilled cheese and onion rings, rings came out cold. Our son lives in the neighborhood and said he would still go there again, as it was worth a second chance.. It was really crowded and a Saturday night..

We went to SOHA to attend a celebration of a friends birthday. While our waitress must have been either new, or just over whelmed at having a large area of consumers, we didn't let her ruin our night. We tried different beer off the menu. My friend had ordered several appitizers to share with guests. The fried goat cheese is a must try!!! Really delicious and creamy. My husband had a 10 oz bartenders favorite burger and couldn't finish it all. He ordered the mac n cheese but it came out really runny and he said wasn't good. For him not to eat mac n cheese it really had to be bad. My fish and chips were pretty good. Would have been nice to have more than one small piece of fish, but flavor was really good. Also their spring rolls are kinda tasty, and you can share them. My husband tried some of the flat bread pizza as well and he said those were pretty good. In all, I would go again. Thats mostly what matters! Right?

Not really impressed with the sticky table I ate my dinner on not the sticky floor I had to walk on and the service was lacking as well waitress seemed to forget that we were at one of her tables and maybe that was perhaps because there were 2 of us unlike many of the other tables but either way for the price range I and others can do much better...

This place has an excellent craft beer selection on draft as well as a extended domestic bottle/can list. The bartenders were very knowledgeable about craft beer and Rocky (the owner) even took the time to sit down next to me and go through their draft list. I ended up having a great conversation with him...very nice guy. I really wasn't expecting much from the food but it too was excellent. I got a huge, delicious pizza for $5 one night and an excellent club sandwich the other. Overall prices were very reasonable. If you're near The Hill in St. Louis, stop in an check this place out!

I have been to SoHa so many times... I figure it is time to write a review. It is not surprising that this place has a 5 rating so far. I almost hesitate to add to it as I would prefer it not to get any busier! Even so, while always bustling, SoHa has never been unable to seat us right away and the service has always been great. The beer selection is top notch. The food though is what sets this place apart. The happy hour, which goes until 7p (!), is the best food you will get for the price anywhere. Period. Not just pub food (which they do quite well), but chefy-type too. There's a reason we always want to go to SoHa!

We go to SoHa quite often. They have great happy hour specials. Recently had a filet. Only $16 with two sides. Can't beat that! Would not recommended the "crazy corn" side. Very salty. But my fiancé loves their parmesan fries. Staff is always welcoming and attentive. Haven't had a bad visit.

I discovered this funky bar and grill on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Actually i had been driving by it for 6 months and its appearance is misleading. It looks small and basic. But this is the epitome of Great things come in small packages. The parking lot was always full and I decided that i should see what the big deal was. WOW!!! Its a bit dark inside bar is centered and tables scattered with center fire place. Could not believe how many people were in here. I sat at the bar looked at the menu and gazed around at how diverse the crowd was. I loved it. Then the waiter came over and explained the menu. Huge selection of unusual tap beers and basics as well. Happy hour runs from I think 5 to 7 and is kick butt. To start with small burgers are 2 dollars and fries I think a buck more. Also healthy selections on the menu too plus great wings. So i ordered the cheese burger tater tots and a specialty beer. When it came i was in heaven. Burger was perfectly cooked with that great grilled taste and just perfect charred edges. And tater tots were better than I remembered with an great cheddar combo. Had a beer or two and visited with a very friendly crowd. Then time to head asked for the check and about fell over when it came, Under 15 dollars for 3 beers and food. This is the best value in town with out a doubt. Now its my favorite meet a friend spot.

-Fun place to watch a sports game- lots of tv to look at from many seats. -Not crazy loud but maybe it is sometimes, I didn't have to yell to talk to people. -Fun to go with friends. -Dark, seems dingy but its a south city bar. -Food is great- wings! pizza! beer! -Happy hour specials are good! Half priced apps, etc. -Spring rolls were too deep fried and okay, not fresher like I thought they might be. -Staff was friendly and attentive. -I'd go back.

This is hands-down one of my favorite places to go. The beer selection is one of the best and is always changing. It's great!! I love the mac-n-cheese with the twist on the breading topping.. :) The apps are amazing!! I really cannot say anythign horrible about this place. I became a regular when it first opened, due in large part to knowing a few of the bartenders from them workign at previous place. It was a perfect place to watch games, chill out after a stressful day, and a fun place to meet new people. My friends and I got to know the owner, who is THE COOLEST! He is a super nice guy and pretty funny! Always a good time catching up with him. I recently went back to STL for a visit since I moved last July. Of course I went to SOHA!! The owner was there and his reaction was priceless. It was great to see him and another bartender that I knew. THis is place is at the top of my list of places to go to when in STL!
