We had a great experience at this restaurant on our visit in 2016 and it was the first place we visited on this year's trip to Boston! The restaurant is located right on the seaport and this is the best part about it if you can get a table outside on a nice day! The waiter asked if we wanted guacamole, chips and salsa to start (almost like it was all complimentary) and we said yes--nice trick to catch people. The guacamole (which cost $12) was terrible...too much lime and almost like it was made in a blender. The salsas were very sweet. When we asked if they had any spicier salsas, they plopped down bottled hot sauce and a bottle of tobacco sauce for us. Some of the chips in the basket were good and many were stale. As for our Primo ($15) margaritas...meh! Nothing exceptional there! The fish tacos were decent, but at $18.00, they should be awesome! This was not the experience we had on our last visit, so we are removing it from our list. There are far too many great restaurants in Boston.

Temazcal refers to themselves as upscale Mexican food, but the reality is that they are upscale Tex-Mex food, done very well. I went on a very busy Thursday evening with 2 friends. We didn’t have to wait for a table, but service was very slow. After receiving our drink and taking our food order, we didn’t see our waitress again to get any table side chips and dips, so we had to flag down another server. The chips and 3 different style dips here are very good. Dips range from mild to spicy. But, by the time we got the chips, our entrees were being served. My group each had a different taco order: fish tacos, tacos mechados-which consisted of short ribs, and grilled chicken tacos. All three dishes were good sized portions and excellent. The black beans they serve with the entrée are outstanding. I could have made a meal of just the black beans. Other than the incredible noise level, this is a great place for either a family gathering or a date night.

Nice restaurant by the sea side having good Mexican food. The quality of food is average though reasonably priced. The outdoor seating is beautiful given the weather is nice.

I came here with some co-workers for a team event and we had a blast. First of all, the location is amazing. Located right on the water in the Seaport, you get a great view of the ocean no matter where you sit here. They have patio seating on the boardwalk, which I highly recommend! The servers were very friendly and made sure we all had drinks during the event. Temazcal's food was delicious as well. I enjoyed their enchiladas as well as their lobster guacamole. I am excited to come back here and bring friends and family. It is rather easy to get to Temazcal since you can walk from South Station or take the silver line out as well. We had a great time!

The food was a solid B+--not quite as much flavor and spice as I would have preferred but probably enough for most people. Good guacamole. Good tacos. Good fajitas. Mole was not the best and would not recommend that. Lunch on outdoor patio provides a nice breeze and view of the water.

My wife and I had dinner here. This place is right on the harbor and has outside tables right by a dock. A few water taxis came and went while we ate. The service was great. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and there when needed. We started with a beet salad and tortilla garden salad. They were both huge. We could have easily split one. The presentation was great and so was the taste. Then we had the shrimp alambre and the mixtas grill. The shrimp was very good, but the mixtas not so much. It is a small skewer each of beef, chicken and shrimp with a few pieces of vegetable. The beef was ok, but the shrimp was overcooked and tough and the chicken was real dry. The bar drinks were ok as well. So the food was mostly good and the prices were reasonable. When I first looked at the check I thought they must have left something off.

This place, on the water, has a good vibe and great food, however the service was a big disappointment. Once the waiter took our order, we never saw him again. We tried to flag him down a few times, and he walked right past us. An otherwise great meal was devalued because of him.

We went for lunch and were fortunate to get a table with a great water view. The guacamole was fresh and the chips with three different sauces. I had the short rib tacos and they were very meaty and delicious. Highly recommend!

I was a bit worried about going to this restaurant because I read that despite the food being good the service was not the best. However, when we stumbled across the restaurant in the Seaport District we decided to give it a go and I'm so pleased we did! The restaurant was packed - we arrived at 630pm and were told it would be a 1.5 to 2 hour wait. There was a concert at Blue Hills Pavillon that night so we knew it would be busier. Rather than wait for a table we decided to go the bar and chance it. Lucky for us, before we were even able to order a drink a couple got up and we slid right in. You can get the full dinner menu at the bar so we were perfectly content. One of the bartenders (I wish j got his name) was our server and he was so great! Despite how busy it is he was attentive to us, never got overwhelmed or flustered. We had the Chips and salsa to start (get the chips- they are amazing). I had the ahi tuna lettuce wraps and my husband had the fish tacos. You get 2 tacos each with rice and beans. They were amazing and we were both really happy with our meals. It's definitely a busy place and it's loud, but the atmosphere is fun. They are also located right on the water and have some good patio seating. If you're okay with getting bumped around a couple times, but like good Mexican food I would recommend this place.

Went here before a nearby concert and it was great. First, you can't beat the view -- over looks the water so try to sit outside in the good weather! I had the red sangria and it was delicious. I also have severe food allergies and they were more than accommodating -- separate everything to ensure no criss-contamination. Was impressed with their attention. The menu is varied but somewhat limited. We didn't mind that. I had the short rib dish and it was excellent. Others had specialty salads -- delicious and fresh. Prices a little high but remember where you are. The food and view make it worth it.

We were shocked to get a table here on a warm summer Friday night. Granted it was a high-top table in the LOUDEST bar area ever, but it was still a table. While pricey, the food was very good. The margaritas were great, the guacamole was very good (though on the small side), and our entrees were packed with ample amounts of carnitas and chicken. For a city eatery that is also a very popular watering hole for Bostonians, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

Stopped by on 4th of July and asked for an outside table which they have available, they were going to walk us to our table and then they asked if we are going to have full lunch. So, we told them that we are going to have drinks and a couple of appetizers, they said that the tables are for full lunch or full dinner and said that appetizers with drinks we can have at the bar. The bar was so busy no space and no air at all. We left the restaurant and walked to next restaurant by water 75 wharf, they gave us outside table and didn't ask us what we are going to have at their restaurant. Temazcal lost my business.

The food was great. The steak was tender and I really enjoyed the meal. We had a great view of the water. Friends had the fish tacos and it was delicious.

I would have given this a 4 if the service was decent but it was barely fair. The location is excellent with great views of the water. This was our first meal in Boston and it was a bit of a disappointment. The male hostess was not at all friendly and didn't greet us but instead asked if we wanted to be in or out. We requested to be seated outside. It was not busy and only 3 tables outside had customers. We asked if we could have a table next to the water - there were 4 available. He didn't even acknowledge our request but instead sat us further away. When asked again he said to talk to our server. Our server was nice but not very attentive. We were not checked on after our meal arrived and were not asked if we wanted refills of beer, soda or water. The food however was excellent. Unfortunately the service was poor.

Was a bit apprehensive when i looked at the place, but the food was simply amazing. Excellent preparation, quantity and more importantly the quality.

Was optimistic upon arrival as reserved table for party of 5 was ready and near the water as requested. All downhill from there. Place is very busy and short staffed to say the least. Saw plenty of table bussers and food runners but few servers. We had to constantly search for our server to get anything. Asked about status of ordered app THREE times which came out 30 seconds before entree. Waiter apologizing several times but was clueless. He kept running off as he had many tables. Sat for long time with finished plates in front of us while we waited for the check. Table was never cleared. No management staff in sight. This is probably the cheapest of the Seaport restaurants and I can see why. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and go elsewhere. Plenty of good restaurants in the area with much better service to spend your hard earned money. Food was fine but when service is that poor, the whole experience is diminished. Would go back for drinks but no table service ever again. What a shame as gorgeous location and much potential.

The Tuna stack was delicious and amazing, fresh and tons of tuna and avocado. Plated beautifully! Loved it and will definitely go here again. If there is a show at Blue Hills be sure to get there by 4:30 cause by 5pm you will easily wait a while for a table...As a deuce we had good fortune to only wait for 20 mins even though we were told by the "little girl" at the front it would be 90 minutes. If we hadn't just said okay and put our name in, we would have easily walked away and gone to any number of other restaurants next door... It is worth a 30 min wait for sure.

We waited just over an hour to get a seat for dinner. The wait was worth it, the fajitas where great, had a great flavor with the mixed fajitas, chicken and steak. The chicken tacos where ordered by my wife and she said they where okay, don't be confused where it says "crunchy" these are not crunchy that most people recognize it is a corn tortilla that is "fried", so not like you would think. They do have a kids menu, that is get extensive and was enjoyed by my kids. Last item is they do not have "to-go" drinks, so don't ask, they offer you a kids cup to go? I wiuld recommend a try and the mixed fajitas.

I was looking for restaurants to go to before a concert at Blue Hills Pavilion and found this restaurant searching TripAdvisor. After reading reviews I made reseverations (highly recommend if you're going before a show). Wow, what great food. The portions were just enough and the food did not feel heavy. I had the chorizo enchiladas which were one of the best enchiladas I ever had. My friend had the mole enchiladas and she thought the same thing. The drinks were delicious too. I highly recommend the maragaritas. Looking forward to coming to this restaurant again.

Likely the best price value dinner spot along the Waterfront. Great fresh food, wonderful service... You are packed in tight near other diners... But location, location, location... You cannot beat it most of our party of four had the fajitas, various combinations, all great, no complaints, only compliments to staff, chef, and did I mention the location over looking the water! One had short ribs, again great food and presentation! A definite top rating, but please keep it a secret...!
