In our personal opinion, the best high dollar restaurant, worth every dollar.

First night dinner; food was excellent; a la carte $$$$ so plan for that. Service was the best I've ever had in a restaurant! We would return.

Me and my friend at dinner here. It was delicious. We ate at the bar, which was ok with us, we were not dressed for the main dinning. The food was great had the roasted bone marrow and the oysters. They also had an extensive wine list. If they dont have what you are looking for on the menu, they have an I pad with much more on it. Ordered a bordeaux that was great! Thanks to Brook for helping me with my selection. And thanks to Austin at the bar for taking care of us. Would defiantly return!

What an exceptional meal. We went there on a Sunday night after the football game. No reservation. We did eat in the bar, luckily next to the front desk. The staff were so kind. No judgment walking in with football jerseys as well as a party of five in a small area. The maitre'd was so kind and had a very interesting New Orleans history with his family. He was a joy to talk to. Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure my food allergies (which can kill me) were accommodated. That poor girl put a lot of miles on her shoes going back and forth checking with the kitchen. 4 of 5 started with the Death by Gumbo. You would have sworn a dog was there because the bowls were licked clean. I had the raw vegetable salad which is, a salad, but a nice change of pace from fried food. The oysters were beyond belief excellent. My husband is on his way to STK Steakhouse in Los Angeles and commented that the steak at Revolution was the best he has ever had. I had the red fish which they prepared special for me and it was outstanding. The wine list wasnt huge but there was a broad range of prices. I also liked the fact they had higher end wines by the glass at very fair prices. The only bummer of the meal was our sorbet which came out pretty melty. Granted it was 80 degrees at 9 pm and 80 percent humidity. But the restaurant graciously removed that from the bill. If you want a great, fresh approach to traditional creole food this restaurant is a must visit. With such an excellent meal in the bar (which is also the dinner menu in the restaurant) I can't imagine what a great dining experience it would be.

Sadly this restaurant did not live up to its billing, especially with the chefs behind it. I started off with a drink at the bar, talking with the bartender who was a nice guy and his cocktails were good. He gave us a lowdown on the place and I was very excited to try the food. Sadly, that is kind of where it ended. The decor is awesome.....Michelin star worthy. The rest of the service staff were nice, polite and looked very professional, but the waiter we had trouble pouring both wine and water. Multiple little puddles left on the table. I get that this may seem a minor detail, but in restaurants such as this one it's what makes the difference. But overall the food was the real disappointment. The crispy sweet breads were crispy on the outside and overly mushy on the inside. The demi glace was really sticky and gluey, not adding much to the dish. The crab beignet's with 4 sauces that came highly recommended were nice and crisp on the outside but again, mushy on the inside. Undercooked batter mushy. Too bad because the flavor of them was nice. For main I had the cajun cioppino. This dish was pretty good.....lots of seafood and a good hit of heat but a bit too salty. I skipped dessert and at the end the table got some mignardises that came in a funky jewelry like case. Neat and they were good. It's too bad that the food didn't hold up to the style of the restaurant because I really wanted to like it. Would I go back? Maybe, but it certainly would not be my first choice.

Impressive and Huge wine selection. I had the rabbit with a side of truffle mashed potatoes and desert was the chocolate cake. The rabbit was really good and the red sauce made it even better. The mashed potatoes were ok but I expected a little more flavor. The chocolate cake was ok but incredibly small portion. All in all; it was a Good evening with good friends and food

I asked to celebrate my birthday this year with a day trip from Mobile for jazz brunch at Restaurant R'evolution and a romantic stroll around the French Quarter. The exquisite food, culinary antiques, the band (who surprised me with Happy Birthday), and special touches created a lasting memory. Perfect choice!

There were four of us for dinner. The fire roasted oyster appetizer was mediocre. The Cajun Cioppino was below average. The Butternut Risotto, while good was extremely over-salted. The service was careless... sleeves in our food and water spilled on the table whilst pouring. For the exorbitant prices, the value was not there. Their bottles of wine were very overpriced. $40 bottle Prisoner cab was $125.

Our dinner got off to a rough start when 25 mins went by when they informed us they didn't have our wine. This was annoying but the meal turned into an all time Top 5 dining experience. Service was absolutely spectacular and every drop of food we ate was amazing including: crab beignets, cioppino, bone-in filet, brussel sprouts and the pounded veal chop with crab meat salad. The wine list is incredible and the restaurant is very pretty. We had drinks at the bar and if you can't get a table you can eat there. Overall just an amazing deal. The staff couldn't have been more apologetic over the early mishap. I really can't wait to go back here.

My wife and I dined here for a much anticipated second visit on 9/6/17. While our first visit was a fantastic experience, unfortunately our second visit was the complete opposite. We did not have reservations and arrived at 8 PM wiling to wait for a table. The host 'reminded' us that this was a fine dining establishment and that the wait would be close to an hour. We explained that we were aware of the type of restaurant and that we were fine with waiting. We sat at a table in the bar / lounge area, and before we had a chance to order drinks, we were offered seating at the community table overlooking the expo kitchen area. While we would have preferred a regular table, we accepted the offer. We ordered the Crab Beignets and 'Death by Gumbo' to begin - both were well prepared and very good. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Sheep Ricotta Gnocchi with Lobster and I ordered the Triptych of Quail. The presentation was nice, however the taste vanilla overwhelmed the other flavors of the Lobster Gnocchi. The Quail (which I had ordered on my first visit) was extremely disappointing. The rice had a horrible chemical-like taste and was totally inedible. The absinthe glazed and southern fried Quail were also sub-par compared to my previous visit and the dish looked like it had had been thrown together. While overlooking the expo kitchen, we observed a staff member pick up her phone and charger from the prep counter and place it on the meat slicer platform while she was wiping off the counter top. Later on, the same staff member was packing something into a plastic storage bin and decided to taste a sample of whatever it was before putting the lid on. Another staff member was drinking what looked like soda from a glass on the prep counter while working. All were very off-putting. As much as we loved our first visit to R'evolution, this is not the type of place that should have to worry about consistency. Unfortunately, more than likely we will not return.

Revolution is right across the street from the Hotel Mazarin where we were staying. The atmosphere, food and service was impeccable. We had the caviar staircase and it was the most amazing experience. I can't wait to visit New Orleans again just to go back to this restaurant. It was so nice, we ate there twice!

Travis: ringleader of the event. Our experience was unhurried with surprises at every turn. Cocktails are seasonal and fun - choose your libation and sit back. The crab beignets are recommended and very good with four different sauces - but, the gnocchi with lobster was our starter of choice. We settled on a split of the scallops (excellent) and followed with the paneed veal with crab. The latter should be listed as suitable for two (we're good eaters and we had difficulty climbing this mountain). Pair with a bottle of Vosne Romanee and finish with an assortment of ice creams and your evening is complete. Travis's team and the management support made this a unique dining experience -- easily our best meal in New Orleans.

I had a party of 6 celebrating my wife's birthday/reunion with two of my military buddies and their wives we haven't seen together for 23 years. Our waiters name was Kevin. This is when things started to go south on us. Kevin forgot my guests drink order, missed an entree, had the wrong sauce placed on another one of my guests entree and my drink glass had a sizable chip on the rim which I felt when I took a drink. All of which I had taken up during my discussion with the manager. The manager was aware of these unfortunate issues along the way and Kevin was dismissed from serving my table for the rest of the evening. Although the aforementioned mistakes occurred, and for some would have spoiled the evening altogether, there was more to the upside that allowed us to enjoy the importance of our celebration. The two waiters after Kevin couldn't do enough for us and were Johnny-on-the-spot with just an eye glance. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was superb. They really went out of their way to make sure the rest of our evening was more than perfect. I do believe that exceptional service is the norm and will certainly go back again. I would also recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

My daughter planned the meal events for us during our trip to N.O. Restaurant R'volution was a place high on her list. Reservations were made for nine at 8PM Thurday Aug 10th. We were sat promptly. The staff was attentive and very professional. Service was crisp and unhurried. Between the nine of us several appetizers and salads were shared. I got the roasted beets with goat cheese salad and was very pleased with the taste and quality. I also have this thing about trying the shrimp grits when on the menu. Very well done. Kudos to the Chef. Two bottles of wine were ordered from the list. A French Syrah and Willamette Valley Pinot. Both were excellent. Dessert and after dinner coffee w\Bailey's topped the night. We straggled out around 10:45PM, satisfied with the New Orleans experience.

Another overrated, overpriced pompous place in a nice location but I go to restaurants to eat. Had the seafood gumbo. It was too little and too expensive for what you got. Wine list unimpressive. More of a tourist place.

Everything we ate was fantastic. Wide variety including homemade pastas, seafood, and fine cuts of meat. One of their specialties is a fried crab beignet. Sounds weird, is amazing. Nice to get a healthy meal (I had scallops) after all the yummy friend foods found in town. Each table has a service team and they really work well together. The wine list is extensive (on an iPad) and if you're interested request a tour of their wine room. There is also a private room that seats 10-12. Call in advance for reservations.

My favorite restaurant. So chic and at the same time trendy. Menue is so delicate and wine list is fabulous. You must try Oysters! Prices are very high. Expect to spend 300,400$ for 2 person for dinner. But if you are for fine dining this is a place for you! Great for romantic dinner!

My son and I were in NOLA for a college visit and we thought we would dine in a high quality restaurant while in town. A friend had recommended us to go here and Restaurant R'evolution didn't disappoint. I had the heirloom tomato salad which was my favorite dish of the evening. It's my understanding from our server that it's seasonal (as you would expect) but it was absolutely delicious. My son had their version of a house salad which was also very good. I should point out that my son has a shellfish allergy and we were a little concerned since much of the menu incorporates shellfish. We needn't have worried. I had the redfish and he had the short ribs. Both dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. I should mention house made bread, brioche and seeded rolls which were very nice with their sugarcane butter. To round out our meal we shared the recommended desert, a creme brûlée bread pudding combination. Add a couple of glasses of a very nice Russian River Valley Chardonnay and it was an amazing meal. Our server was professional, attentive but unobtrusive. Unfortunately, I can't recall his name. If our son ends up at Tulane, you can bet we'll be back!

This was our second time visiting R' Evolution. The filet was cooked to perfection & the greens were out of this world! The frog legs were over salty but were still very delicious. The service was impeccable! They came when we needed but didn't interrupt our conversations. Sam was the head waitress & she did a wonderful job!

We decided to try something different from our usual choices for our 42nd anniversary so we chose Restaurant Revolution as we had heard and read a lot about it. It was better than we could have imagined. From the minute you walk in you are welcomed and it seems to just fit well. We were served by Scott as primary and two others who were right there for any need and yet not intrusive. The food, well we started with Crab Beignets and so tasty creamy and melt in your mouth - a must try... We both had a house salad as we wanted to pace ourselves. It was crisp fresh and very tasty. My wife's main course was the seafood gumbo and it was rich and oh so good. I went with the tri-quail which was so full of flavor (one with cajun rice and one stuff with truffle sauce and one fried). Spices were perfect and very delicate. Finally we closed with Creole Bread pudding and oh my was it good. Rich, full of flavor and each bit was sweet and smooth. Absolutely could not have been a better experience!
