I have an allergy that makes it difficult sometimes to find good food. But this place was fantastic. Both my husband and I really enjoyed their food. We went there two different nights. I would suggest reservations since they are busy during the week as well as the weekends. Their biscuits are delicious!

Excellent food and superb staff made our anniversary dinner special. Neighbor reviewed a few months ago had us concerned but trusted Trip Advisor reviews and they were spot on. Included fact that this was anniversary dinner in Open Table reservation. Personalized keepsake menu, confetti on table, and dessert on the house were very nice touches.

We had late reservations the night of my birthday after a tour that we had taken. Eating dinner at 10 p.m. is a little too late for me, but when we got there, it was impossible to turn down the food. Lobster bisque was incredible....the Scalibut was amazing.....and of course the dessert was to die for!!!! Such a great experience. Next time I'm in town I'll make sure to book another reservation and make it a bit earlier so I can really take my time and enjoy the experience.

Amazing service, great food, and classic New Orleans atmosphere. We had the lobster dumplings to start. They are awesome with hot fresh biscuits. I have never had sheepshead before and it was great. My wife had the grouper with the fig side dish and it was outstanding. Will be back!

For some people this place could be a five star. It depends on what you like. It's big; it has a commercial vibe; it's very American - especially what many restaurants were like a decade ago. The entire wait staff is rushed; very, very rushed. They are nearly running. Definitely speed walking. Our dinner took less than 45 minutes from the moment we sat down, ordered a cocktail, had an appetizer, a main course and a dessert with a dessert drink. As our appetizer plates were removed, the dinner plates arrived, and we had to ask for our wine to have that delivered half way through dinner. Our bill was deposited within seconds of our dessert arriving. It's a shame because the food was actually very good. So, if you like very good food, but in a fast food restaurant version, this is the place for you.

I was so excited to come here as it was listed as #1 per TripAdvisor. I am not one to dress up yes this place is fancy make sure to dress up. If not dressed up we were put to a booth to the side of the bar on the left. The server was great informative helpful to recommend. but we did feel rushed I could see he only had 4 booths which is terrible for a server. so he wanted to turn his tables totally understandable couldn't blame him. The food though for the price I honestly was disappointed in the quality the pork chop was so gummy, I don't eat fish and am allergic to shellfish so it was very hard to find food that stood out. My guy had the red snapper he said it was dry. Not sure must have been a fluke at our table cause people have wonderful things to say. I would not go back here. who knows maybe if we dressed up it may have been a different experience but for me I left very upset and disappointed.

I book this restaurant to celebrate my husband‘s 40th birthday. I love seafood and this menu was definitely something I wanted to experience. Even with a weeks notice I pretty much could only land at 5:45 PM reservation. I was hesitant to eat so early but no the restaurants menu appealed to me like this did. So glad we went! I had mentioned that it was my husband’s birthday in the notes when I made a reservation and when we were seated we had birthday confetti on the table and even gave us a free dessert! I had the Mangrove Snapper and my husband has the Parmesan crusted sheepshead. My dinner was Amazing, my husband liked his but thought mine was even better. Our server was very friendly and I appreciated that he gave suggestions on what he truly liked better rather than stereotypes us to the more expensive dishes. Excellent food, service and overall experience!

This is a beautiful restaurant, feels so luxurious, but not stuffy. We had Falon as our server, she was outstanding; they work in a team and the guys with her were great too! We started off with lobster dumplings, delicate and delicious. They serve these biscuits that are just so yummy, top them with some butter-oh my goodness! My husband had scalibut, halibut topped with sliced scallops, fabulous! I had the cobia, it was perfect. The sides were fabulous, as well. This was such an enjoyable meal, slow and relaxing with a staff that was so very attentive. This was such a treat to have such a fine dining experience from start to finish without feeling out of my element. Do not miss having a meal here! Desserts looked divine, but we were just too full!

Never go to NOLA without dinner here...had pork belly and soft shell crab as appetizers...OMG..delicious..then I had a pasta appetizer as my entree...gnoccetti with lobster and crab...small portion but wonderful. Also had the King Clip fish...really, really good.finished with the bread pudding. Could not have asked for a better meal and great service.

Where do I start? We ate here on our last night in NOLA. We actually had reservations at another restaurant but had heard so many people rave about the food here- so we cancelled them. Wow! We had the lobster dumplings which were seafood pillows of heaven, a must try is the watermelon pork belly appetizer - delish. We had the red snapper which was so good and the signature dish of Scalibut. Is it uncouth to lick your plates? We wanted too... the salty malty pie was scrumptious. To top off the meal was the impeccable service from Roderic and the waiter who plied us with biscuits- didn't catch his name but he did a great job. Glad we finished our trip here. We will definitely be back- be sure to make reservations...

A lovely intimate experience just steps away from the construction bustle of Bourbon Street. The food is great and the staff is competent. This is a very well run restaurant. I ordered the scallobet - scallop encrusted halibut. This is a signature dish that they are deservedly are well known for! It was amazing! All four guests at the table next to us ordered it! My husband ordered a steak which was also great. The side dishes that were offered ranged from succotash to polenta.... all perfect!

Arrived around 730 and we were immediately seated. I had tuna tartare which was very good. Then on to the cobia recommended by our waiter. My wife had the crusted drum with mushrooms. Then we split dessert from menu selected by my wife which was great. The service was very good, noise level low to moderate and was a very attractive place. Wine list reasonably priced. Glad I visited.

This restaurant is just superb! The food is delicious and the service is fabulous. My husband and I ate there twice in our short 5 day stay. If you have an opportunity to visit New Orleans, be sure to make a reservation at GW Fins.

My wife, son & I visited here on her first trip to New Orleans and the experience was over the top! First of all, this is an outstanding dining venue! The service is excellent and the number of captains overseeing the wait staff is unbelievable!! It started with delicious appetizer biscuits and finished through the desert menu. Every detail is taken care of for the customer. Now for the wine selection and entree menu. Unbelievable!!! I had the Sheepshead fish dish and my wife the Scalibut. Both were unbelievably good! Wine parings were available to suit anyone's taste. Don't miss it if you're in New Orleans!

The food and service here were superlative❗️We ordered four different entrees. They all got great comments. I ordered the blackened swordfish.....LOVED IT❗️ Ryan and Allen were wonderful servers with an excellent knowledge of the menu. We're from New England....sorry we don't live near this restaurant❗️❗️❗️

My best dining experience in New Orleans. Highly recommend the "scalibut". The food is Excellent, the service is perfect. Nick, our waiter is incredibly knowledgeable and knows the menu and the wine list like the back of his hand. Better than Emeril's.

As you would expect, the meal was outstanding on the pallet. The service was excellent from the time we walked into the restaurant to exit. Our waiter, Ryan was happy and accomodating to assist with my partners dietary needs. He knew the dish ingredients and how the food was cooked and made suggestions to how the dish could be altered to meet the dietary needs. Then a few minutes later the restaurant manager arrived at our table to confirm the altered meal suggested by Ryan was doable and that it would meet our needs. Outstanding on all aspects.

I had read many of the reviews and had trouble getting in, so put your name in and go have a cocktail....we had a great martini and listened to some jazz at RFs right up the street. It was worth the wait, I had the signature dish which is a mild white fish and lobster over a mushroom risotto...excellent. We also tried the fins for an appetizer, which is a fish cooked like a chicken wing...very different. We had great service and they have an incredible wine list. I'll be back next time I'm in town.
