This is a great tapas place with great food, fantastic Sangria and efficient service. Advance booking is highly recommended.

The price of their food are reasonably priced. Because of a big group, there was minimum spending. It was challenging to hit the minimum spent amount without over ordering. We ended up wasting a lot of food. Nevertheless, the food was quite tasty.

We were in Chicago for our anniversary and stayed at the Swissotel. We ordered a $100 worth of various tapas for delivery to our suite. It was truly terrific. The Garlic Mayo Potatoes were so good I had to find the recipe so I could make them at home. (By the way-really easy!) That $100 worth fed us three times! Highly recommend.

This is by far one of the best tapas places in the city! Sangria on tap, all food great quality. Our server was excellent, for 6 of us suggested 2-3 plates per person. Patatas bravas were the same as Madrid! Grilled squid, queso, croquettes, bread, every items was superb. Wish you had a location in the southwest suburbs!!

My husband and I enjoyed everything we had at Cafe B... The sangria, deviled egg, stuffed olive, lamb, salmon, Brussels sprouts, and tomato salad were very tasty. For dessert we had flan and the banana dessert. Fun place with a good atmosphere.

We are on a Chicago food trip. After visiting some favorites, we returned to Caf Ba-ba-reeba. My husband and I agreed this was the best meal so far. Some of the dishes have changed. We ordered the heirloom tomato salad with green goddess dressing. It was a de-constructed salad: beautiful and tasty. We ordered octopus...different than before and tasty. My husband likes fruity drinks.. They had a special of mango sangria. He loved it. They have a new fried chicken dish with piri-piri sauce. Yum!

We eat at CBBR once a year for the past 15 years. A pitcher of Sangria and a bowl of Gazpacho are mandatory. We were disappointed in the Gazpacho this year. I don;t know if the soup was different or we like our version better. It was good but not the great soup we remember. We had a special tapa of stuffed peppers, the lamb, accompanied by an order of Brussels sprouts with manchego cheese salad, All were excellent as is the service.

Group of 8 for dinner. Service and food were great. Get the seafood paella. They have a great assortment of tapas. The curry chicken salad was terrific. Get an outside table. Reasonably priced.

Both of our daughters had eaten here on trips to Chicago. After a stroll through Lincoln Park, we stopped in for drinks and tapas. The food was amazing. The margaritas were the best we've EVER had in a restaurant or bar. My husband makes a great margarita and these rivaled his. This restaurant was full of atmosphere and delicious food.

Last night in Chicago...after two nights of Deep Dish pizza we were after something a bit more adventurous and wholesome. Searched TA and found this place. Could only get an 8:30pm dinner reservation (at 3pm that day). On arrival , good service and promptly shown to our table. Very busy, bustling atmosphere with a mix of tourists and locals. Good sign. Our server was great - we ordered the half pitcher of White Peach Sangria. Great! We ordered the Pork Paella for two and 3 X Tapas (on the portion guidance of the server - which was spot on). Paella was great - rich, flavorsome, good mix of textures and well seasoned. The other tapas were: Spicy Potatoes - excellent!! Great flavor but not over seasoned either Shrimp - excellent. Well cooked and just a hint of spice from chilli Calamari - also excellent. Very tender, nice coating. Excellent meal and great way to finish the visit to Chicago.

My friends and I came to Cafe Ba Ba Reeba for my birthday and since we were a large group (25 people), I had to plan ahead with their coordinator. Michelle was a pleasure to work with and was extremely responsive and made planning my birthday very easy. We got a private room and a selection of cold/hot tapas as well as unlimited beer, wine, and sangria for three hours for a reasonable $70 per person. Given our group size, we had a private room in the back that was a bit small for standing given the table was in the way but once we sat down it was spacious. There was a server making sangrias and ensuring our cups were always topped off the whole time. The food was amazing and the portions were very generous. We definitely had more than enough to eat and there were a wide variety of choices to pick from. The highlights were the Caesar salad, short ribs, and meatballs in sherry sauce. The sangria was good (nothing exceptional) and I heard those who had wine were happy with the house selections. I would definitely come back for a group event or just to have a regular dinner. The restaurant was packed on the Friday night that we went and seemed to have a great ambiance. Highly recommended!

First ate here in the 90s when I was an university student, and went back recently and it was still delicious. Stick with the tapas rather than the heavy paellas dish. The octopus, squid, shrimp, and the vegetable tapas are amazing!

Cute restaurant in Lincoln Park. The tapas were tasty, and fairly standard for Spanish tapas. Service was excellent. We enjoyed being in this neighborhood very much.

Great service. Went with kids (7.5 & 4) per the recommendation of a website that said it was family friendly. It is and the kids were entertained with wikiSticks and the kids cups. Felt that the server was knowledgeable and friendly. Food came QUICKLY and it was just okay. Interesting tapas plates, but nothing stood out. Recently traveled to Europe and enjoyed tapas, so this was a little disappointing. Nothing was bad, we liked the red wine flight and the atmosphere. Pet peeve is when waiters bring out new plates and there is. I room on the table, b/c it hasn't been cleared. This restaurant is HUGE and it felt that speed and quantity have replaced quality.

This feels like a scene for twentysomethings with blowouts. The food was mediocre. Mushy gushy octopus was the low point. Garlic shrimp was the high point. But who can screw up garlic shrimp? Completely overrated on TripAdvisor as far as I can tell.

We reserved here for a birthday dinner. There were 5 of us and we tried to schedule online but we could only reserve for 4 so we called and they were able to accommodate all five of us. Upon entering (around 7 pm) it was very very noisy. Our table was in a room outside the bar area so we were glad for that. We ordered two tapas (small plates) per person and then shared them. The items we ordered were: tomato salad, spicy potato (it was spicy), brussel salad (very good), beef empanada (the empanada was good but the dressing was bland), chicken piri (very very good) and a special hummous plate which didn't have much flavor. We also ordered a vegetarian paella which was very good and was a good portion size. Overall the food was very good. Service was excellent.

We met my local friend here for dinner during our trip and it was so delicious! The white peach sangria is so refreshing in the summer. The tapas style menu allowed us to try lots of different things and we loved everything we tried. The spicy potatoes and beef empanada were my favorites. Don't forget to ask for a dessert menu - the selections also come in the perfect small bites so you can get a taste of something sweet without a heavy dessert.
