Our lunch was very good. A little disappointing that they were out of the stuffed mushrooms but what we ordered was fantastic. Would definitely come back again.

Went for a fast dinner with my wife and had crabe cake, crawfish and crab. The food is great and the service excellent. We were sitting outside by the water. The prices are good with excellent fresh food.

The seafood is good for a chain restaurant. The reason we went because quite honestly is because it was across the street from our hotel. The seafood was okay, but I have had way better seafood. The view of the river is nice & our waitress was very observant & courteous.

The best part of this place is it's location right on the river in Savannah. In fact, they have an open air balcony overlooking the river, but it was too chilly and windy the day we were there to at outside. I had the fish and chips, two nicely deep-fried pieces of white fish served with unremarkable fries (from frozen and then deep fried) a nice cole slaw and tartar sauce. However, it was so hot that I burned the roof of my mouth with my first bite of fish, so be careful to let it cool a bit. The hush puppies in my basket were better than the fries. Hubby had the fried shrimp po' boy which was mostly bread. In fact, you could hardly find the 6 small shrimp for all the breading on them and then the big roll it was served on. He got the same unremarkable fries I had on my platter. Our waitress Melissa was friendly, fun and chatty which we liked. She made us feel very welcome and gave us very good service. So if you want a good view of the river, good service, and so-so food, go to Joe's. It looked like a fun place if you were with a big crowd of people.

Went to Joes Crab Shack during St. Patricks Day weekend for lunch. I know it is a crazy and busy time, however, when we went we where sitted right away outside. Now I know why. The view of the river was amazing!! Our waiter was a very nice young man, from what I can tell. We only saw him three times, to take our order, to tell us he forgot about our crap dip and bring us our check. We order a crab dip appetizer, did not get it, our entrees came. We mentioned to the servers bringing our entrees that we ordered crap dip. I minute later our waiter came to tell us he forgot to put it in and asked us if we still wanted it. We never received a refill on our drinks and he did not come back to check on us. We had to ask another waitress for out check, she went and got our waiter. He brought us our check. My husband said his clam chowder we good, but the rest of our food was alright. I had the popcorn shrimp, it was overly seasoned, not fresh and they messed up my sons order and when asked to correct it, it took 15 minutes to bring him the correct items he ordered. We go to Savannah often and had never eaten here before and thought we would try it. I do not believe we will be going back.

The restaurant is on the river. If you sit in the patio, beware of the birds and make sure you hold every thing down if it is a windy day. The food and service was excellent.

We were hoping for raw oysters, so we were happy when we saw a sandwich board out front advertising them. Our server suggested cooked oysters (which made me doubt the quality of the shellfish on hand), but we were after raw, and stuck with our decision. Oysters were of varying quality and none were well shucked. I wish we had tried a non-chain, more local spot -- guessing their food and shucker would have been of higher quality. As an extra bummer, the pre-packaged saltines were stale. One (lucky) member of our party ordered gumbo, which looked fantastic.

My husband and I visited this location during a road trip and loved our time there! The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. I'm a pretty difficult critic for salmon and had no complaints when I got mine. I'm pretty sure I finished it within minutes, absolutely delicious! My husband gobbled his bucket down, as well! We had great meals and can't wait to return!

Customers don't like to be insulted before they are even seated. The GM was rude and snarky to me. I was (and still am) offended by his insult. Ann, our server, was the one and only pleasant part of our visit. She was a attentive and genuinely cheery. The food was mediocre at best. Pepper was the only flavor in any of it.

I want to start by saying, a restaurant has to incredibly horrible for me to give a review of a -0. Spending the last week in Savannah has been amazing!!! The 10+ restaurants we have dined in have been incredible . We've dined at the best restaurants in town with not one single complaint until we entered Joe's Crab Shack. Upon our arrival we were greeted and seated immediately by a very sweet young lady and after that it was all downhill. When our waitress approached us, it was obvious by her demeanor she was not a happy person and her attitude was, well... horrible! When we placed our drink order we also placed our appetizer order. After several minutes she returned with our drinks and placed them on the table so hard, my husbands spilled everywhere, she said nothing and walked away. We looked at each other thinking ok, we all have a bad night, let it go. When we received our appetizer, (which was excellent I may add), we never saw this young lady again for over 20 minutes. Other waitress's served their tables several times including serving a dinner. Finally, I asked another waitress if she could tell ours we would like drink refills. About 5 minutes later our waitress appears, looks at me and says, you want another drink? I said yes and she walked off. After another 10 minutes and no sign of her, I told my husband, if it takes this long to get drinks, I know our food will be cold when we get it and at that point we decided to quietly leave. Of course, our waitress was no where in sight, so we walked to the front as asked for our bill. We stated we had been waiting for quite sometime and just wanted to pay for what we had and leave. He kept asking who our waitress was and finally I said, we don't know, we've only seen her twice in the 45 minutes we had been there. At this time a lady approached who I am thinking is the "manager" and asked what was wrong. Before I could say anything, our waitress walked up with our bill. She handed it to the "manager" (I think) and walked away without a word. I said well, that was our waitress. The "manager" (?) didn't even attempt to ask what the problem was, she just looked confused and handed me my bill. I paid and we left. We walked out of Joe's in complete disgust of what transpired in the hour we were there. I can now understand why the place has been empty everyday!! Other than Joe's Crab Shack, every restaurant we dined at in Savannah was excellent!!!!!! I strongly recommend you think twice before wasting your time and money here. And for the waitress and "manager", you are in the wrong business!!!

I am a seafood lover and Joe's Crab Shack in Savannah was the place to go! It was so nice to enjoy their outdoor patio while dining on the scrumptious seafood. Servers are pleasant and the manager, Greg Bond, even stopped by our table to visit. I will be going there each time I pass through Savannah!

We had a large group for a birthday celebration. Regan was our server and she was awesome. Great service, never waited for anything and food was excellent. Kept all our separate check straight and the team sang a very nice happy birthday song for my aunt.

Great time and great service. We plan to return to Joe's and with to thank our server Kim for the wonderful experience. Our stomach's were not big enough to enjoy the entire portion and the doggy bag was yummy. Our thanks. Next time we are in town we plan to return.

I always worry about going places with my kids but Joe's was amazing! We sat outside and the staff immediately brought over crayons and such for the kids to play with. The manager checked in a few times to see how we were enjoying our food (we were in from out of town). The crab cakes were delicious and the drinks were quality - felt like real southern home cooking. I highly recommend sitting on the back deck, great views of the water, a nice breeze and a step back from the hustle of tourists!

Definitely was not up to par with the area, food was so-so, not warm, not tasty, the service was close to non existent, and they were not even busy.
