The contemporary Spanish small plates menu boasts a strong selection of cheese and charcuterie, as well as pintxos, bocadillos and classic tapas dishes.

I was expecting the Boqueria experience first time experience when they were good. Tried a few of their tapas and thought wow, how boring. The spiced chicken only shined through however the sauce fell flat. Definitely a forgetable experience.

This is obviously a very popular place to eat so I looked forward to it. The food was great and the service was friendly. BUT the dishes were slow in coming out and it felt like there were not enough staff for all the customers. It also felt over priced for what it was. Not sure I would go back again.

Ask for Desmond A plus place for vegetarians with a very large selection. Wonderful wine. Everything was prepared well, served hot. My goodness. I'm gushing. Yep. That good! I took images, but Trip advisor doesn't allow me to load these! Cauiflower. Peppers. These change all the time. Talented chefs use fresh ingredients!

This is one of the better Spanish tapas restaurant we have visited in or outside of the U.S. The décor is very Spanish as in any tapas bar/restaurant in Spain. It is a busy place so reservations are a must. We did not have it and were told of a 45/60 minute wait...after about 10 minutes were seated. Don't know how it came about but we were extremely glad. The menu is very extensive and the wine list as well. We shared three tapas...tortilla, grilled calamari, and grilled Galician sardines. All three were very authentic and excellent. The portions were larger than in most other similar restaurants. We ordered a bottle an Albarinho (white Spanish wine). It was served very cold as it should be and it was vey good and reasonably priced as well. The service was also very good. Our server came to our table on numerous times to see if we wanted more food and serve more wine. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Desmond, our waiter, was part of the reason why we loved Estadio so much. Management here needs to look after him well. We had a table right in front of the chefs working their table in the house! Food was great and we had a gorgoeus bottle of Portuguese wine. Definitely worth a visit (order the lamb dish when you're there!)

Nice enough place. Good atmosphere and the food was tasty enough. But do not think that 3 or four tapas will be sufficient for a couple. I asked the waiter if two tapas from the meat and fish menus, with bread and potatoes would be enough for two. He assured us it would be plenty. Wrong! I could have finished the lot myself. To compound our disappointment my wife's glass of wine cost $12 and came in a whisky tumbler. Overpriced and not worth it. But the place was packed, so what do I know!

Was introduced to Estadio about four years ago. Having lived in Spain I am partial to the tapas scene. Besides Jaleo there are not too many other good tapas places. This is one of the best. Plus they have an excellent section of wine by the glass and good beer. Noise level is ok for what is often a real "in scene". All in all, a taste of Spain

Tapas are the best way to experience a cuisine without committing to an entire dish. We split about 5 plates between the two of us, and were there for a while. We got there right when they opened, and they were full by the time we left. Much of the menu was foods in spanish that I did not recognize, so we relied a lot on our server, who had great recommendations. We got the cheese platter and took our server's recommendations (don't get the very strong blue cheese, it was a little too much, but we had to try it out of curiosity). We each got the jamon wrapped fig, which was delicious. The wagu beef sandwich, it was ok. The scallops were perfect. And the grilled pork loin was good, but it wasn't anything special, so I kind of regret getting it. And for dessert, we got the churros with spicy chocolate sauce (amazing!) For this place you need to step out of your comfort zone and just try something new, you'll have a good time.

An interesting restaurant, elegant and cozy (except for the multiple TV screens at the bar) and with pleasant decor. I sat at the chef counter and enjoyed the preparation of the food by experts hands. Many choices and as the weather was warm I decided for a light and cold meal. the Gazpacho was disappointing, with a strange after taste. The Sardines filets on a montadito were juicy and excellent The Bacalao crudo (carpaccio) was excellent with some avocado and orange bits but the jalapeño pepper made all the other flavours disappear. I finished with good Grilled baby zucchini, with just oil and salt. Multiple wine and beer selections, I only had a a good Cider . Service was excellent, prices medium high.the area great for bars and restaurants

Enjoyed the tapas format, but waiting an hour for a table was a grind. Enjoyed some of the signature drinks on offer before the food arrived. Best choice in the tapas was the halibut seared. Very fresh and creative.

We love going to estadio. Now that we moved to suburbia we drive to dc every couple of months just to eat here. The place gets busy so make sure you make a reservation. We love every dish here from the shrimp to the anchovies to the peppers. Their quince cheesecake is to die for. Dishes are small as you would expect from a tapas place but the quality is superb.

Had a wonderful tapas dinner with friends. Some items are single bites while others are large enough to share with a couple. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was excellent.

I grew up here; the 14th street corridor was a killing field in the 70s and 80s. The rejuvenated neighborhood has sprouted a vibrant and safe neighborhood and a slew of great restaurants. If tapas are your jam, this is your place. Great menu, great service, big windows to watch the locals stride by. Just a joy.

I had the pork with peaches which as absolutely out of this world. I hate kale typically but whatever they did to the crispy kale served with the pork was phenomenal. My grandmother and I split the scallops as well and the red pepper sauce on them was incredible as well. We finished it off with some fried custard and cherries which was the perfect balance of sweet and sour. Would definitely come again.

Special night out for my wife and I in DC for 2 nights. Stayed at a Kimpton Hotel nearby. Booked this restaurant based on the tappas and the recommendations. Great service and great night. Only room available was at the Chef's table which was great so that we could see all the dishes being prepared. It helped us decided what to order. i recommend sharing the various courses. Order 1 appetizer then 1 of the sides and 1 of the main courses. You can always order more later.

Arrived too late for lunch so returned for dinner. So glad we did. Great wine and sangria (not sweet - just right). Amazing tapas selection with plenty of veg options. Cauliflower and green beans a highlight. Walked away stuffed and satisfied!
