I live in the area and have been to the harbor house on several occasions. It has always been very good in the past. I was very disappointed this time. My guests and I were here for happy hour. We ordered the lime shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, oysters and calamari as appetizers. Oysters were great. Even the happy hour prices didn’t make the other two appetizers appealing. Only 3 scallops and 3shrimp. The calamari was not on the happy hour menu but we’ve had it in the past and always loved it. Not this time. I asked for the chopped salad and got a salad but it was not chopped or presented as described on the menu. The steak was fabulous !

We spent a night at the Inn at Mystic and had an evening at the Harbour House Restaurant. The accommodation was superb and the evening at the restaurant was really really good. The barmaid Allea was fantastic. Very chatty and obliging. Other customers at the bar came and had a chat to us, very friendly indeed. Then we had a great meal and was attended by Tim Bonnie and Raul a- all very friendly. We had entertainment, a lovely man on a guitar singing a lot of country and western style songs Johnny Cash etc. Had a dance with a couple of local ladies, All in all had a great evening, We were from England in a tour of New England and it was lovely to be made to feel so welcome by them all.

The view from the restaurant is beautiful. The grounds of this inn are a delight. Specialties are fresh shucked oysters and pizza from a wood fired stone oven.

We had a great meal at this restaurant which was on the same site as our hotel ( Inn at Mystic). The seafood was magnificent, and the location great, with lovely views. Service was friendly, prompt and efficient , and knowledgeable about the gluten free diet. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at the Harbor House on an unseasonably warm day in mid-October. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the wonderful view of the harbor. My wife had fish & chips and I had a lobster roll. Both meals were outstanding. My lobster roll was the best that I have ever had. It was loaded with large claw pieces of lobster on a freshly grilled roll with drawn butter. My wife’s fish was perfectly cooked; nicely breaded and very moist. Our service was also very good.

We took advantage of Happy Hour prices to have an early dinner here, and were very pleased with both the service and the food quality.

We made a special stop here to enjoy our all time favorite crepes only to be told the restaurant has a new owner and a new chef and a new menu! Disappointed for sure but we stayed and had dinner. I had the steak wrap and my wife at the duck. We enjoyed both BUT PLEASE BRING BACK THE FLOOD TIDE (lobster) CREPES!

Just returned from a Sat night dinner at this place, we chose it as it was adjacent to our hotel, The Inn at Mystic. This was one of the most underwhelming dining experiences of my life, I have never felt so unwelcome before. It started with the hostess, she was so so miserable, didn't smile and tried to show us to the worst table right next to the entrance, even though we had booked. It didn't seem to matter if you booked or not, local "walk ins" seemed to get the best tables. The food was mixed, my wife's surf and turf was very tasty and well cooked, however my fish and chips was not so. There was music on, a duo, one on the piano and a singer, however they were much to loud, the meal should have been the main event not them trying to be, they up the volume so everyone else needs to do the same to be heard above them, this is not the atmosphere for a restaurant, just call it a pub and lower the prices to suit. We will not be returning there as are plenty of decent restaurants in Mystic without darkening this doorway.

Took visitors to Happy Hour BUT Happy Hour was limited. Some of the regular items were not available and we did not find out about this until we began to order. The wait staff said management was changing the menu and many of the items were not available. We did place an order from the regular menu ... food was good and the beverages were fine ... just not the Happy Hour items. We'll give it another try ...

While staying in Mystic, CT for a wedding weekend, dined here for a quick lunch (takeout), as well as evening drinks and appetizers. The burger and fries that my boyfriend ordered was DELICIOUS (so he told me)...the Caesar Salad I had was decent. Service was very pleasant as all the staff is extremely personable and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere, casual, with stunning views of the water.

Had our anniversary dinner here. Food was wonderful, service was pleasant, view spectacular and prices not bad. Will definitely be returning. I highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops - fresh and cooked to perfection.

While staying at the Inn we walked over to the restaurant. Excellent service and variety on the menu. My only observation was that we went on a Sunday evening and the entertainment seemed too loud for the size of the restaurant. Otherwise we would definitely consider revisiting.

I've visited this restaurant for lunch and dinner. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. This restaurant is located right across the parking lot from the Inn at Mystic.

Arrived late for dinner after seeing this place on our way into Mystic and glad we went back. Staff were attentive and friendly, we were seated on the veranda overlooking the harbour on a nice pleasant warm evening. Service was good and food catered for children and adults, good value for money. Plenty of free parking places which is a bonus in Mystic! Could have stayed longer drinking and relaxing on the corner sofa. Inside there was a western folk singer playing on a guitar for extra entertainment. Would recommend to get a table on the veranda.

We had been to this restaurant years ago when it was named Flood Tide. Flood Tide was fine dining with whit glove service. We didn't know that the restaurant changed hands about 3 years ago and is not called Harbour House. We knew something was different when we called about the dress code and then upon entering the restaurant. The service was poor and the meals were cold. We were so disappointed.

We had an appalling dinning experience. Not at all welcoming, very poor service and probably the worst meal that we have ever had anywhere in the world. If the system allowed we would give it minus points.

Excellent place to have a nice dinner or even better, don't miss out on their Happy Hour. Great deals on drinks and appetizers. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops and wings and dont forget the Tito's Moscow Mule, they don't skip on the alcohol. The service is excellent too. Enjoy!

the lobster roll was great, seafood bisque was amazing, service top notch, we were pleasantly surprised by how well they handled the big group

Food was just reasonable, not great. The sesame tuna was really overcooked, but the scallops decent. The price in general was not in keeping with the quality of food. As well, beer prices were somewhat ridiculous. $10 for Stella? Really? As well, the selections of local breweries were all $10.

Went with friends, and I didn't care for the decor, or the ambiance. Our table vibrated, so we had to move. Yeah! Vibrated!!! I can't remeber the food...
