So convenient! Can't be beat! Booked a room from 11am - 8.00pm Cannot book in advance, they guarantee to have rooms available on the day, ring from the airport or drop into reception. Cost $94 - including tax. So good to be able to chill, shower, store bags, nap before a long haul flight. Being able to use their amenities was a bonus! Beautiful Courtyard garden and pool area, sat under an umbrella in the sunshine and watched the squirrels forage. Onsite Denny's so we could have lunch. 10 min walk to hotel after dropping off rental car, with a petrol station next door for refuelling. Free shuttle to the airport every half hour. Free WIFI Great friendly staff and a clean, good sized room. Perfect for what we wanted! Will definitely stay here again enroute. Thanks Travelodge for making a potentially long day so easy!

This hotel was used as a stopover for the beginning of our California road trip. We had just flown in from London and were a little jet lagged. The hotel was clean and comfortable the room was average size equipped with fridge, microwave and toiletries. It is conveniently located next to a Dennys which was useful for an evening meal. The gardens in this hotel were beautiful it was obvious that the staff took pride in keeping them up. Considering the area in which the hotel was located (little rough) it was nice to see such well kept grounds. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from the ladies in the breakfast room were cheerful and hard working. All in all a pleasant but short stay.

Arrived after a long flight we just needed somewhere close to LAX as we were flying out early the next day. We were only going to be there for around 12 Hours. On site Denny's to have a meal and complimentary breakfast. Rooms are basic but that's okay your only there for a short stay. Friendly and helpful staff also free shuttle to the hotel and back to the airport. Convenient location and price.

Room was fine for one night; breakfast not great. There were strange boiled eggs out of a bag and terrible coffee. The worst was when we arrived at 11am, after 16 hrs of travelling, we were told check in was at 3pm, and it was only when we produced our booking confirmation which stated a 1pm check in, that the reception staff graciously conceded that they would 'honour' a 1pm checkin. We then passed the time around their pool area and then in their lobby area waiting until 1pm. There was a charge of around $30 dollars for an early checkin. At exactly 1pm we asked for the key which was immediately supplied. At any point they could have offered this, given our obviously exhausted state, and given there were clearly rooms ready and available. We have never been asked to pay for early checkin on our travels before.

I keep coming back because it cant be beat. The only choice for a day room at LAX. We arrived just after 9:00am as we had to return our hire car. Our flight was at 11:50pm. I even got a friendly welcome from Norma at reception, she was very helpful. We were into a room before 10:00am. Room was spotless as usual. Only problem was with the shuttle driver. We told him we were flying Virgin Australia. VA check in is in T2, and flights depart from TBIT. As we drove past T2 I asked him if he was going to stop. He said VA depart from Bradley. He wouldnt be told that check in was at T2. Maybe you could pass onto the shuttle drivers that information, as its a long walk back with luggage.

If you are looking for one of the least expensive hotel near LAX, with a nice pool for the kids, then this is the best place for you to stay. It even has a free shuttle to/from LAX. It's also next to Denny's, and across from Thrifty car rental. Just don't take off your shoes inside the room (unless you don't mind getting black soles), or inside the moldy shower. We attributed the pee smell on the sidewalk to the cat we saw...

I arrived LAX @ 1500hrs and my next flight is 2355hrs so obviously staying in the airport is no good. Googled up this location before arriving. Pros: 1. Near to airport, approx 5mins by shuttle 2. Shuttle provided but only at 30mins interval so you will have to wait a bit depending on your luck 3. Clean 4. Has a pool but didn't use it 5. Has a diner next to it if you need a quick bite.. although I believe there is in-house dining as well I didn't ordered them 6. Quick check in and check out Cons: 1. Shuttle bus driver asked for my confirmation slip before allowing me to board. While I understand this is to avoid abuse of free loaders to get out of th airport but the policy Travelodge has is walk in and no reservation required. This is confirmed when I mailed them prior to arrival. I had to hustle my way and showed proof of my email communication before I get to board. What would have happened if I indeed just walked in and did not even bother to send a mail? 2. Advised to call upon arrival at LAX and i did just that for shuttle service. But all i get in return is just to wait for the bus anyway.. So why bother to call? 3. Old and tired for the day use rooms anyway.. but don't get me wrong it is sparkling clean. Maybe the full day rooms are better off, i don't know 4. Day use time is fixed 9am to 8pm. Would have preferred to have flexibility say 8 hours upon check in as i have checked in 4pm and had to leave at 8pm anyway although ideally i would have liked to leave at 9.30pm to make the most of the USD 9+.++ i paid Overall, useful if u need some place to rest, do some work, get a swim and kill time.

So I stayed here for 7 nights, on a holiday from the UK. The main appeal of this hotel, for me, was the general look, free shuttle, included breakfast, and of course price. Now, location.. Our room was located next to the road, with a balcony facing the road. I have a feeling we had the noisiest possible room at this establishment. However, the planes flying to and from LAX were deafening, perhaps if you have an inward facing room it would be better, but for us it wasn't the case. The property owners are clearly aware of this, as they include complimentary ear plugs. Would I stay at this hotel for a layover? Yes. Would I stay at this hotel for a week? No. The service is very good, 24/7 security, breakfast isn't bad, We didn't try out the pool as we were so busy, but it looked nice too. The hotel gardens are also well maintained, with a spectacular array of Begonias, Geraniums, and other such seasonal colour. In conclusion, the location is good, but noisy. The price is very good, the local shop and petrol station are open long hours, and there is also a Burger King just up the road. I'll finish with some advice if this is your first time travelling to LA. L.A is massive, California itself is three times the size of the UK. So, either hire a car to get around, or be prepared to give Uber a lot of your money. The public transport system is a joke, so I wouldn't really recommend it. Thanks for reading. Safe travels. 4.0/5 stars.

If I would have paid more than $105 dollars I would have been disappointed. The room was clean, room 162, the tv is updated, the AC worked well. The bathroom was clean but outdated, kinda bathroom that makes you feel depressed about life and why you cant afford a more updated hotel. Overall the landscape has pretty palms and flowers, staff is friendly.

We stayed at The Travelodge for 2 nights whilst in transit and loved every minute of it. The room probably needs some updating but that didn't worry us. The beds were comfy and the linen and towels were very clean. There is everything you need tea/coffee, fridge, air conditioning. We had a balcony overlooking the pool which was lovely. Breakfast is buffet style consisting of breads, pastries, cereals, eggs and sausages, enough to get you going in the morning. Also Denny's is right on the doorstep which we found handy. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is a classic. Beautiful gardens, a wonderful pool, truly an oasis right near the airport. Free shuttle, lovely people and a Dennys next door. We love this hotel and keep coming back. You will not believe how wonderful the gardens are. Congratulations to who ever is in charge of maintaining the grounds. You do a magnificent job. It really makes our stay relaxing and calming. The rooms are great, clean and comfy. The pool is exceptionally clean and inviting. Thank you for a fabulous stop over.

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I recently stayed on two separate nights at the beginning of my trip and also when I returned. The shuttle runs every half hour. The hotel staff is courteous and pleasant to deal with. The rooms have everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Perhaps a little dated but still quite fine. The gardens however are spectacular! The owners obviously take great pride in their hotel as it is landscaped beautifully! A lush tropical setting! Very beautiful!

This is a great stopover drenched in 1950s nostalgia. We stayed here after flying in from London before collecting a hire car and embarking on a road trip. This is one of the original 1950s motels and you feel part of a road movie whist staying there. The grounds of the hotel have some lovely water features and plant life. A complimentary continental breakfast of boiled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, bagels and toast is included and is basic but does start the day well - the staff work well to make sure guests enjoy their breakfast. The bed was comfortable and room very clean. The air conditioning is noisy but ensures you have a good sleeping temperature. There is also free shuttle from the airport, wifi and printing of flight check-in documents which is really helpful for travellers.

We stayed here on a layover in LA. 24 hour shuttle was handy as we arrived at 1am. Room was tidy and the aircon was effective. The layout is confusing and it took us a while to find our room. Go to Denny's next door for breakfast.

Stayed one night while in transit. Close to airport. Free airport shuttle bus was good (watch out to wave bus down to stop for you at the airport). Hotel is like stepping back in time - 1950s style. Room was clean and big. Swimming pool area looked nice - we didn't use it. Breakfast was very basic but this is what we expected. Location is what you would expect for being in airport area. Denny's diner next door - OK. Convenience more than quality.

No, it's not fancy and if you demand 'posh' to sleep well, this isn't the place for you. However, the place is super clean, nice comfortable beds, a small sundries shop, a free breakfast, free shuttle to and from the airport, and best of all a big pool in the courtyard surrounded by tons of beautiful trees, plants and flowers. Free WiFi that works well and computers to print out your boarding pass. Next door to the hotel is a Denny's restaurant. I stayed here once before over a year ago, and this is 'on my list' of hotels when traveling through LAX. Three of us were returning from Canada and stayed overnight to catch early morning flights back to the east coast.

Had 2 people coming in on 2 different flights into LAX for a family gathering the following day. Was able to park the car in front of the room and jump on the shuttle to meet them at the terminal. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the entire property is fenced in and secure. Very cool retro feel to the place and was nice to have a Denny's right next door.

I had a 14 hr LAX stopover to break up my flight to Canada, and this little place was perfect ! Friendly, helpful staff, Free shuttle to and from the airport, 24 diner next door that had lots of gluten free options. The room had everything I needed ( very comfy bed and hot shower ) quite dated but that didn't matter to me at all. Beautiful gardens and pool, although it was too cold for me to swim. I would def recommend Travelodge if u are looking for a day hire. Thanks for having me !

We came in late to LAX and these guys picked us up without a booking but made sure we could stay. The grounds are gorgeous with beautiful gardens, plants everywhere and as well as being value for money this place has so much character. Don't ever change!
