I love to see businesses like this opening. These delightful twenty-something employees make coconut milk, hazelnut milk, cashew milk and almond milk from scratch right on site for their drinks. They brew each cup of coffee as you order it and their Kabocha is also locally brewed. The outdoor patio is quiet and views include the beautiful historic courthouse across the street that is also a convenient place to park.

Been in the states a few days and so happy to find a local, independent alternative to wall to wall Starbx. would be happy to find this cool, friendly place with good coffee and morning goods selection in my native London. a find!

A nice local coffee shop. The type of coffee and other beverages offered has varied with various owners, but we've enjoyed it throughout the changes. Now they offer kombucha as well as coffee. The baked goods are local and fresh, too.

Good walk up the hill in Old Town. Recommended by local. Perfect. Cute sitting areas or tables to work. Try a scone with organic ingredients. Away from the crowd too.

Super cute café in Auburn Old Town. The vibe is relaxed and cozy, perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a mug of hot coffee with a novel in hand. The baristas that served us were very friendly, knowledgeable about their products and not bad to look at either :) There is a nice variety of coffee beans and the pastries are also really good, if a bit on the pricier side. Added plus for the fast wifi. If I find myself in Auburn again, I'll definitely make another stop at the Auburn Coffee Company!

Close to the Courthouse and Old Town, this is a great place for coffee, crepes, and other good eats. Staff is always friendly and attentive.

This little place is charmingly decorated and serves a surprisingly good latte - much better than Starbucks! They also have fresh, tasty scones. A great place to stop for a rest along your journey.

Stopped there a few Saturdays ago for coffee after visiting the farmers market. I had the drip and my guest the mocha. Both were well crafted. My drip was a bold, which dark rich, but not bitter. The sandwiches looked great and the pastries were excellent.

This is more in the line of the older, independent coffee house than the more corporate and sterile coffee places like Peet's and Starbuck's. Great cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches. And the coffee is so smooth and enjoyable, it would be a travesty to add milk or 1/2 and 1/2 to it. Great places to sit awhile and enjoy the paper, a book, or spend some time on the Wifi with your cyber device (talk about not fitting with the decor!). But it's all good, and on those great days that are sunny and in the 70's and 80's there is a great place to sit outside on a deck/patio.

This charming little restaurant and coffee shop is just across the street from the Historical Placer County Courthouse in Auburn, formerly known as Courthouse Coffee. Linda and her daughter et al run Auburn Coffee Company with the warmth and homey feeling of a small town gathering place. They serve excellent coffee, pastries and offer a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from - or build your own or have the soup of the day or order a smoothie. It's all good, very affordable - and with free WiFi.

These people know coffee. I like coffee with lots of coffee strength but no hint of bitter. The cappicino was correctly balanced between coffee and milk and the right size. Trip 2 they used the Africa coffee I asked for and did the best pour over I have ever tasted. Lots of coffee flavor and zero bitterness and in a mug. And I try out every supposed coffee expert in every city I visit.

Great business location across from courthouse. Very small space, but great coffee and very good sandwiches. Fresh food, broader flavors than you'd expect for a small place. California turkey with red onion hit the spot!

The coffee is average. Lots of cozy nooks in this setting across from the courthouse. They were still getting organized doing the last visit.

Very pretty location in Old Town, right across from the courthouse. Inside is cute and comfy, well appointed. There's some cozy seating in the upstairs area and also a nice patio. They have a good menu and their coffee is excellent.

This coffee company is back in the hands of the original owner Linda. She brings so much charm to the very friendly town. It is a family-owned coffeehouse. You can enjoy organic coffee, breakfast and lunch. Especially delicious is the fresh baked pastries. The favorites are the "sin-a-buns" and "sconitos" (small scones). The breakfast bagel sandwich exceeds McDonalds. It's great to order this sandwich with egg whites too. All types of coffee drinks. Enjoy a "porky" sandwich which is bacon or ham, romaine, tomato, mayo. Choice of rye, wheat, sour dough all the time. Come see us.

Just like being back at home. You can interact with 3 generations of family, serving excellent coffees and fresh sandwiches. They even provide a bit of diversity in flavors with Mexican inspired sandwiches, called tortas. Try the "L'il Mama." It's a vegetarian torta that you probably won't be able to try anywhere else in the area. There's also beautiful art decorating the coffeehouse, made by the owner's daughter. Come here to experience family, art, and culture, and you'll be surprised with what Auburn really has to offer.

Ordered the veggie gourmet along with an iced tea- DELICIOUS! The veggies were fresh and the bread toasted just right. This place is family-owned and you feel right at home when you walk in.
