The decorations of this place are quite nice but the service is not too impressive. It's good for a quick stop to have coffee or tea.

Good place in good neighborhood. The staff are not helpful and they don't speak English. The service was bad and overpriced.

I went to this cafe after a recommendation, it looked very cosy inside I ordered carrot cake and flat white but I couldn't work out why l was given an English menu? I believe these guys try to rip off tourists as the slice of cake was 20 lira... Which was over priced for the quality of the cake.

It has a fantastic setting inside and outside. Especially In the evenings, it would be very nice to drink coffee or something. 15 minutes walk to karaköy ferry pier

I just paid 11 TL for coffee and 7 TL for a small bottle of water. Been there several times before but will never step foot in again.

Cafe itself is perhaps slightly overrated, but the area is a gem in Istanbul. Get lost amidst the cobble-stoned streets. You’ll see a lot of new, modern cafes and restaurants located in the maze-like streets where locals enjoy cups of coffee while reading their newspapers or hanging out with their friends. Karabatak is agood example.

Great neighborhood to walk around, this popular cafe is the perfect pit stop, with indoor and outdoor seating. It is always pack. Perfect for people watching. Price is slightly higher than average.

I've been there only once and that was more than enough. We liked decoration inside and decided to sit but lots of tables were reserved even at 17:00 pm which was weird. Somehow they offered a nice place inside and we ordered 2 christmas teas. It took nearly 20 minutes to brought them and 3 different waitresses asked us what we ordered. They looked confused and unprofessional. It might be acceptable for a cozy, cheap cafe which employed students as servers but if you sell a small bottle of water for 7 tl, service must be much more professional. Teas were ok but nothing special and we totally paid 30 tl for them. I don't think I'll go there again because of high prices for low quality.

We sat outside in the shade, under the vine that covers up the whole street, and had a lemonade and iced tea in a hot day. Perfect! Relaxed and best place for people watching. Also had a Turkish coffee that surprisingly was not good at all. Who cares! This cafe is fabulous

You can enjoy your time in this place. Music and design is very good. You can image a french coffee house. Not so much place to sit. Also deserts are very good and delicious.

Design of place is collected items from 60s 70s not interesting. Music is ok. Some places is reserved in day time. It was interesting bcos here is coffee. Price is very high. One filter coffee is 8TL, one tea 8TL, special coffees 20TL etc. Waiters are not professional and it is clearly obvious. I do not recommend to anybody. You can find another expensive place for simple coffee.

Really enjoyed Karabatak cafe. We shared the Vienna Früstück which was a generous size. The coffee and tea was great and we loved the cafe itself. Highly recommended for European coffee lovers!

Located in the center of Karakoy, among many other coffee shops, stands out for its beautiful interior decor, great location because it is a corner shop, nice tables and chairs outside, tasteful coffee and normal prices

Karabatak is one of the upcoming trendy cafes in Karaköy area, however as a person who likes cafe hopping, this cafe was only good for ONE thing - the set up. Set up: The cafe is situated in a neat corner of Kara Ali, with comfy chairs for lounging and the interior walls are beautified with interesting knick knacks. Bad points: Unfortunately, servers were not friendly. They had the obvious air of arrogance, and that got me thinking, they should be sent for customer service training. Yes, Karabatak is a trendy cafe but why the arrogant servers and baristas???? First of all, I know my coffee but it seems like to them, I know nuts about coffee. Pfft... Maybe they need mystery customer test, and the company can track if the staff are doing at least exceptionally well in customer service. Now let's talk about the drink.... gosh, it was a weak cappuccino BUT i can't deny that the barista frothed the milk to near perfection. Good job on that. Maybe they can improve on the coffee beans though? Overall, if you want somewhere hip and trendy but willing to sip average coffee.. you should check this place out. Many photo taking spots. Honestly, I will still visit Karabatak again as i do like the ambience but the next time, i will ensure that they treat us better.
