Bra urval på dryck och tilltugg. Trevlig personal. De har också Stammis-kort (medlemskort) som gör att alla med sånt kort får handla billigare. Denna är lite större både inne och ute än den andra som ligger en liten bit bort.

I said best coffee in the town, not best cafe! But with a little more efford in customer service, cleaning and better space can easily be the best cafe in the town also!!!

One of my favourite cafes in Gothenburg. Too bad they don't have a location in Stockholm! The best lattes around and nice sandwiches and cakes for an afternoon pick-me-up.

Da Matteo is a small, local coffee chain with currently four branches (soon five). They expand only slowly and each branch has its own character and specialties. This one features a bakery, where fresh sourdough bread is produced. The interior has a hip, slightly rugged, industrial design, the seating is not super comfy though. Coffee, pastries, and bread are excellent and can also be taken away. There is also rather good pizza. As others have noted, the place can be occasionally very busy, and then things can be cramped & very slow, even though the staff does their best and they are friendly. But, best avoid the peak times (lunch, weekend early afternoon). I try to visit Da Matteo each time when in Gothenburg, and this is my favorite branch. Prices are not cheap, but given the high quality, it is ok. With a re-chargeable customer card you save 10% or so.

High quality bread, sandwiches, and baked goods, along with superb coffee in an open, hip, industrial environment. But, the queue to the cashier moves at a snail's pace because the same people who take orders are preparing coffee and food. Expect to wait.

I enjoy the stone work, 1920s industrial vibe of the local. The coffee has been rated the best in Sweden and it's very reasonably priced. The downside is the poor ventilation and its popularity - very crowded and the seating is selectively good...

This is a very informal cafe that places emphasis upon the quality of the coffee and pastries served. It is hidden away in a laneway so you have to to look for it. Once found however, but forgotten. Double shot espresso outstanding.

The cake, the coffee, the pleasant service & environment, all hugs you warmly. It's a place I'd visit every time I'm in Gothenburg.

When we first came we had coffee and bread buffet. As a breakfast they have a buffet of fresh backed bread, cheese, jam, butter and vegetables. A coffee and a juice were also included. A really simple but sooo delicious breakfast. We came back on another day and had another cup of their great coffee and a goats cheese sandwich. And I'm pretty sure we will come again.

Very well-chosen, well-thought-of, well-prepared small meals like grilled or cold sandwiches, salad, buns, etc. Not an extensive menu but a good one. Vegetarian etc available. Best coffee (yes), and other beverages like fresh, unsweetened apple juice (warm in the winter time). Best type of staff - knowledgeable and really want you to have a good visit and meal. Good ambiance. This was not my first visit here; it is still as good as before. Coffee is famous here - comes in many origins and preparations. Try the current recommendation from staff!

We went here for a mid morning coffee and cinnamon buns most days, great coffee and lovely buns. Decent prices too as this is popular with the students being so close to the university.

My wife and I ate 3 meals at da Matteo, breakfast, lunch, and supper. They roast their own coffee and know how to brew it. Excellent espresso. The pizza is perfect and the salad is amazing. The only downside was the wait, but when the food is this good it is no wonder they are so busy.

Good selection of food and cakes. Interior is simple and appealing. As a coffee lover I find the coffee could be better. Full fat milk in the latte would help with the flavour.

My in gothenborg living friend and me have been here (the store in Haga) for their famous kanelbullar and we haven't been disappointed. The kanelbullar are very soft and cause to a lot of butter and cinnamon not dry at all. Just perfect! The kardemummabullar were great too but a little bit dryer than the other ones. Both made from sourdough! Just placing the bullar on a plate while queueing up and paying at the desk. Coffee very good (having their own roastery). Prices quite high, payed 180 SEK for 2 pieces of bulle and 2 Cappuccino. Very loud inside and always very crowded but very stylisch cosy atmosphere. They having homemaking bread, pizza etc too. Best thing is watching them rolling the kanelbulle!
