Good hotel with great location and good prices. Room is comfortable. There is a front building and a back building, check with reception which one your room is in because the back building has a lift but the front only has stairs. Parking is done in a guarded lot down by the bridge which is only a short walk. Beware in the summer as my room does not have ac.

Yes we had a room on the top floor and it was a climb up and down. But it didn't bother the three of us. Our room was small with three separate beds and very clean. It's a short walk to the river and the main square. And it's next door to the Gingerbread Museum ! They also have gingerbread cookies at the front deadline which were very good. The continental breakfast the next morning was very good. They also called a taxi for us which arrived at the time we requested. Great hotel. Unique.

Great location just in the Old Town. Pleasant rooms with really small but clean bathrooms. Old furniture, a bit squeaky but comfortable enough. Decent breakfast. Good prices. But: 1) there is no elevator and climbing several flights of (steep) stairs with the luggage may not be everyone's thing, 2) there is no parking at the hotel, you have to go about 300 metres to a city parking where you get a discount as a hotel guest, and 3) the services are rather basic, you may expect your luggage to be stored right in the tiny hotel lobby which may not be a comfortable feeling for some. However, I would say it's a good value for money, the location again is perfect, and I had a good time there.

There was not parking and that might be an inconvenience. Wifi and tv are ok. The room and hotel are in general clean. The breakfast was indeed the best thing. If the breakfast wouldnt had been so good, for the hotel we'de say that the price for the night is way much expensive for what you get. The staff is really friendly.

This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location- close to main sights, yet peaceful. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the breakfast varied. The only criticism is the lack of air-conditioning in the rooms- it can get quite stuffy and 2 single beds put together instead of one double bed which we requested upon booking.

It is literally 50 meters from the river bank, and less than 100 from the city center, breakfast was much better than you expect in that class of hotel, staff was very nice, had a kids corner, and rooms were modern and very well furnished, bathroom was big and clean, also recently renovated. There was a nice courtyard garden to eat breakfast. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel in June, the hotel is located in the heart of Torun, really close to shops, tourist attractions and bars/restaurants. The rooms were really clean - the cleaners were cleaning the rooms every day. The only down fall was that we had the building view. There is small breakfast buffet in the mornings which had nice range of foods and I am sure everyone would find something for themselves. Our only problem was when we booked the hotel, as the hotel was contacting us in Polish even when we said that we did not speak it but other then that the staff was really friendly and welcoming.

If you are looking for a good standard & central location hotel which is not too expensive, this is your place. We booked two rooms for four of us; both rooms were overlooking the street by the main entrance. I liked the interior and style of the hotel & rooms. The staff were very friendly and happy to help, even late in the evening. Breakfast was included in the room price and it didn’t disappoint. The only downtown was no aircon in the room and the night we were staying was very hot.

The rooms are disappointingly small - even the "deluxe" rooms overlooking the river. However this is reflected in the price for a very centrally located family hotel. Breakfast is mainly buffet style - however eggs can be cooked to order. The hotel is divided by an inner courtyard so keep this in mind when booking for larger families as key entry is required for access to the newer part across the courtyard. The staff were polite - not overly attentive but considerate to requests from guests.

This hotel was really a great find. It's located near the very center of the old town, near to cafe's, restaurants, and the market square. Everything worked in our room and it was comfortable and well decorated. Great value for a very reasonable price.

Just around the corner from the main Old Town wall, you will find the lovely Czarna Roza hotel. Only a few streets away from the Old Town Square and Town Hall, and next door to the gingerbread museum. It seems to be a family-run operation and the owners are very nice, and the hotel spotless and full of character. We had a top floor room (no lift, but not a big deal for us) and to open the windows onto the terrace was lovely. We could see the surrounding Old Town buildings and birds on turrets etc. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - all one could want, and they make eggs to order. Lovely selection of fresh bread and cheese, as well as all the usual cold meats and salads. You can sit inside or out on the terrace. I would highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, value and superb location.

This was probably the best hotel we stayed at in Poland. Excellent location - so central and close to all the old town has to offer. We had a river view room with an added interesting glass "sunroom" with wonderful views of the river, bridge etc - just wish we had the time to sit there and enjoy it. Great shower in the bathroom and everything spotless. Breakfast was included and was fresh and tasty. There was a garden outside to enjoy as well. It coming into Torun Old Town by train you will need to take a taxi to the hotel as the train station is too far away from the old town. The taxi was very reasonable though. Torun is a MUST SEE town and we especially loved it as it wasn't overcrowded with tourists.

First of all the Hotel is really close to the center, which is great for some sightseeing. The rooms have an interesting design and furniture, old style but cozy. They are clean and the staff is friendly. Free Wifi was also available, which is no standard in Europe. Another good thing is the breakfast, it was fresh and delicious. All in all a very nice Hotel for a very nice price.

I will start with negative factor as it might be important for people with limited mobility= no elevator! It's several hundreds years old building and the wouldn't get planning permission to put elevator in. No positive aspects: - great location close to the river and high street - 24h reception - good décor - friendly feeling - continental breakfast included I have stayed there at least 4 times. Would highly recommend, but remembrance it's a 4 floor building so climbing stairs might be an issue for some.

Very good location, close to Torun Old Town. Intimate, small rooms. The reception is open around the clock. It's hard to find a parking place nearby. For one night, 7 people (rooms in combination 2+2+3) we paid 580PLN. The way to the rooms is through spiral stairs, no elevator. I don't recommend the top floor rooms for people without sport condition. Breakfast included in the room price - "swedish buffet", scrambled eggs on request. Stylishly decorated and furnished reception area.

a simple, cozy, clean hotel within the medieval old city walls of Torun. Superb location, you are literally in the Old Town, narrow streets, medieval city buildings, St. John's cathedral, town hall, Copernicus' birth house within 2-3 mins. walk. Very reasonably priced. Challenges for some travelers may include: parking (you must realize that you are in the Old Town) and lack of elevator.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The hotel is located just minutes from the old town and also the river front. The hotel is elegantly decorated and currently undergoing some alterations (none of which affected our stay). Please be aware there us no lift to the rooms ours was on the 4th floor so for some it mau be best to ask for a lower room. Our room had 3 beds in and was fine size wize. Good breakfast. No parking available but secure parking available a short walk away at the river front for 30 zloty per day. Would recommend to others and stay here again myself.
