Amsterdam's main square with buildings from a variety of epochs, including the enormous Koninklijk Paleis. Good place to watch the world go by.

A great coffee shop in Dam square neat the Royal Palace. It has a bit of a cheeky name but it deserves it. They make a good cup of coffee!

This is a tourism hotspot and this establishment is certainly taking advantage of the fact. Slices of salted caramel cheesecake were tiny, though strawberry waffle was of normal size. Coffees and tea okay, but this is more of a takeaway venue, with paper cups and plates and plastic cutlery, with rickety seating outside. For the prices I'd expect proper cutlery and crockery - a small slice of cheesecake with a small latte cost €7,95, tea with cheesecake €8,25. There are cafes of better value elsewhere.

Very prime location at Dam Square; a bit pricey for a double espresso but you seems to expected it though. Coffee not bad and nice view of Dam Square. Very small shop and more comfy sitting outside.

Absolutely amazing, lovely view on a day just to have a sit down and have heaters outside. Got a hot chocolate and a lemon muffin but can't describe how nice the muffin was. A good little treasure of Amsterdam.

My wife and I stopped here to try their coffees, and we were not disappointed. Really good quality coffee in a wonderful setting looking out over Dam Square a fantastic place to just sit and watch the world go by.

Situated in dam square the name is very catchy. The coffee is good. They give you a choice of hot and cold coffees. You can also have small bites. You can sit outside enjoy your coffee/drink while you can watch the entertainment in the Dam Square. The coffees are of average prices. Nice place to be.

So happy we came in to this place. Located in a really touristy centre of Amsterdam, the guys here managed to keep their identity in tact. The prices were steep but considering the location I don't blame them as rent must be insane in such a prime business area. We had a coffee, a couple pancakes and a smoothie. All top notch, particularly the coffee which usually lets me down in places like this. The staff were fun, quirky and really captured the essence of the establishment, being relaxed and casual. If you're in the area and want a pickmeup, I HIGHLY recommend Dam Good Coffee. Great place for a breather. Plus there was a naked girl being painted on the nearby square.

When you have a great location you can charge a bit more for your products. This place is no exception. We ordered 2 waffles and one drink. 11 euros. If you walk over the palace on the back side there is a grocery store called Albert Heijn. Go to the bakery and buy yourself a package of waffles, and everything else you want for much less. Sit in the Square and enjoy the same view as you would from Dam Good Coffee. The waffles are over-priced for what you get in my opinion. But as I said, it's got a great location. Staff was friendly and service was prompt.

I liked this for its proximity to Museumfoto and the Square. Found the prices for chocolate and coffee to be competitive and beverages were a good standadr. A small friendly coffee shop which was very clean.

Popped in here for a coffee. Very expensive. I found the servers not welcoming or friendly at all. Coffee was okay I guess.

This little cafe, situated on the edge of the main square, is a great place to grab a coffee if you're in a hurry. Quick and friendly service. Good coffee.

Across the plaza from the Royal Palace, with outside seating, this is a great place for a coffee or snack.

if you're just looking for a good coffee - this is the place to go. We walked 2 kilometers each day for a cup of joe here. We always have a hard time understanding why people around the world have different ways of making something as simple as a latte. Here- no issues. Strong roast. good coffee. nice little unpretentious place, even if slightly pricey

The cheesecake was 4,50€(!!!!) and such a small slice, I couldn't even find it on the paperplate .. the latte was not tasty at all. It's just for all the tourists without TripAdvisor that do not know it better. I'm sorry, but do not go there please !

It was windy and cold on December. We needed hot drink. We came to Dam Spirit Good Coffee, the location is perfect in front of Dam Square. The cafe is good, some tables were full. We ordered some hot drinks and snacks. The foods are good. They served us quickly. For me, the best part of the cafe was outside or terrace. , while having hot drink we could see the Dam Square's view from our table. The price is good, average.
