Got to hotel to find upgraded to lounge club ,which gave us spectacular views of the iconic Petronas Towers. The upgrade also gave us the most fantastic breakfast choice we have ever seen in any hotel around the world during our travels. The hotel is well placed for access to all tourist attractions in the city, the public walkways ,the train and rail network, the buses are free if you know where your going to.There are some fantastic restaurants and bars nearby ,don't be afraid to try the local food halls the locals love them you should too!

I stayed in Traders on my birthday i.e. 2 Oct & jokingly requested a choc cake as my birthday treat. The staff confirmed my birthday by checking my IC & gladly sent a rose & cupcakes. That has made my day. Hopefully the staff can proactively do that for all customers without us mentioning it :)

Don’t always give full marks to hotels stayed in but Traders KL ticks all the boxes: location superb, breakfast top notch and room facilities very good indeed. Upgraded via club room to higher floor and access to Traders Lounge which is a must to make most of hotel. Sky Bar was overpriced/over-rated but then again we are not as young as we used to be so there you go! Service in throughout hotel first class. Thank you.

We were so pleased we chose Traders for our 24 hour stopover in KL. The service was immaculate, our room spacious and had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our view overlooked the petronas towers - an amazing outlook especially at night. We ordered room service, not something we usually do, but were very impressed with the quality and portion size for the price. And breakfast is fabulous- so much choice you will not know what to choose.

This hotel doesn’t have the feel of a 5* property; however my stay was pleasant and comfortable. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful throughout the stay. I particularly liked the notes left by the house keeping team. This added a personal touch. The hotel is centrally located and has air conditioned walkway links to major shopping centres within the city. The breakfast buffet was excellent - every taste catered for. I did not like the roof top indoor swimming pool. The area felt claustrophobic and one would feel uncomfortable and conscious swimming there. This part of the hotel, along with dining area for breakfast, are in need of renovation. The room was clean and comfortable; however there were problems with connections to the phone and TV. I understand that the hotel has spectacular views of the twin towers or gardens. As a GC Jade member and GC member since the 1990s, I asked if I could be upgraded to a room with one of these views; however my request was not considered. My view was not particularly appealing (see photo). On the whole, a pleasant stay.

Used Traders as our base in KL and then travelled to Borneo and the GP F1. Very nice hotel, the staff are very helpful and friendly especially Hannis who cleaned our room and Koy the concierge. Rooms aren't overly big but we did the club access and so could go get food and drinks and chill out with great views of the city. WIfi worked well. Only downside for me was the pool and roof top bar, I didn't realised they were the same area and so couldn't relax by the pool outside in the sun and in the evening the bar was ok, food was pretty good but it was loud and a lot of people smoking around so only went once. As we had late nights back from F1 we got room siervice awhich was quick and the food was lovely. Great location very close to Petronas towers and Suria mall and good for transport links around city. Would recommend unless you want outdoor pool access.

We have stayed here for 3 nights as the first part of a multi-stop holiday. The hotel is superb. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff and fantastic food. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the views of the Petronas towers are amazing. We had breakfast included and we were spoilt for choice. Cuisine from all around the world. The hotel setting is perfect. The park is beautiful and so well looked after. We have loved every minute of our stay. Next stop...Langkawi.

A very comfortable hotel which you may accommadate snugly and a very important extra of the hotel is the Sky Pool Bar at the 33rd floor of the hotel with a real swimming pool! The rooms are very relaxing and the breakfast is delicious. Enjoy your stay.

Hotel was of a very high standard & ideally situated with stunning rooms overlooking the petronas towers. Good size rooms, lovely & clean & great service. Staff very helpful & polite. Main restaurant on level 6 is highly recommended as is the sky bar. Would recommend & stay again.

Nothing good to say about it but nothing bad so all in all pretty average. I stayed in a Traders Club room, it was ok, looking a little tired and some of the amenities poor such as the TV so just average. The Gym has enough equipment and some weights so that’s was better than expected. The downside for me was the Traders Club lounge which I felt was poor. The breakfast and evening canapés selection was poor, the decor just as poor and the ambience was like walking into a cafeteria. It’s not a hotel I would go back to, I want a little more.

By far the best Hotel I have stayed in, couldn't have picked a better place than this warm friendly staff, really great food and really nice location. Spa, swimming pool, different ways to dine and skybar for the evening entertainment I give it 5 star rating all round it was a pleasure to stay here.

We stayed here for 2 nights while we were on our honeymoon. We requested a high floor room wit a tower view.... we got it and ... WOW We just loved it here. Great location. Friendly staff And a great selection for breakfast. Reception is hard to find but other than that no complaints. The sky bar was just unreal. And we arrived on Wed night and it was free cocktails for the ladies. Just super. Please see picture attached of room view.

Great location and what views from our bedroom!! This was just an excellent hotel in this vibrant city. We loved the room and even the compact bathroom. The breakfast was a self service buffet with plenty of variety. I hope we stay here again!!

Stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon. Hotel is in an excellent location for exploring KL and has amazing views of the towers especially at night. Room was excellent and staff on the whole were very helpful. Only slight criticism was the service in the sky bar, which was a bit slow, we would have had more drinks but they simply took so long to arrive! Would certainly stay there again if in KL

It I was my first time since they opened 10 years a go or so ! To stay at traders ! I have to say I am very happy with the level of Profi, staff and training ! Which is really better than the next door hotels by far ! I stayed at almost all the city CENTER hotels in KL ! But traders is really good Room / suites very big and nice but it should be renovated ! It is time to do so otherwise . Not good . Bkft Buffett is perfect , really nice . Lunch buffet is not as good as bkft .I won’t recommend it . Otherwise the hotel is really value for money and friendly experienced staff

There are some good things about Traders; wonderful views, good access to the park, nice rooms and amenities. But there are some things that are just not good enough, and sadly staff is the key issue. Staff make a hotel, I think some places forget that. 1. Skybar/Hotel Pool. This is a very cramped area and if you want a swim you have to do it virtually within arms length of bar drinkers. This is really not comfortable for women in particular. It's also semi-enclosed so it gets quite warm in the whole area so I found the bar aspect of the area not really that comfortable. The view is great but the proximity of the pool to the bar is off-putting especially at night when it's a nightime bar when I saw one person at least come within a whisker of taking an unintended swim with their cocktail. And that's another problem, if you like a late night swim you're pretty much out of luck because it's mainly a bar. 2. I was very disapointed at the surley attitude of check-in staff and their intransigence on minor requests. I was also really disappointed when a staff member assured us that they would offer us one rate only to recind that rate 10 mins later after confering with their manager. We asked to speak to the manager but even though they were sitting in their office the manager did not come to speak to us, nor phone us, directly later. Very poor. 3. Traders really isn't that convenient to public transport - it's a good 15-20 min walk to the rapidKL station and signage to the hotel from that station is virtually non-existant. They do provide a golf cart shuttle to the mall/station but in 6 days I was only ever in the right place at the right time to catch it so I wouldn't rely on it. 4. The food in the upstairs lounge is sub-par and lacks day-to-day variety if you're staying for a week. The breakfast downstairs on level 5 is far more varied but it's like trying to have a meal at a bus station, there's so many people you can barely get back to your table (if you can find one). The food here is much better and more varied but it's just so crowded. The one upside is the view of the Towers (for which you pay extra of course). We had thoughts of leaving Traders early and going to the Mandarin at around the same price - the pool area there is spectacular and the rooms a definate cut above Traders. I don't know where the name Traders comes from but in my experience they are "trading" on their location.

We stayed at the Traders Hotel for the Grand Prix. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi when we arrived to the moment we stepped into the taxi on our departure everything was just brilliant. Checking in and checking out was quick and efficient. We booked a normal city view room as we knew we weren't going to be spending much time in it and it had everything we needed. The power shower was just what you needed after a hot and sticky day at the Grand Prix. The view of the Petronas twin towers from the sky bar was amazing. The drinks and food were also delicious if you don't want a full meal. Service is always with a smile. The breakfast buffet has something for everybody whether you prefer eastern or western cuisine. You are within walking distance of the towers and shopping mall and some great Restaurants. I would definitely stay here again

Brilliant is the only word to describe Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur.. Service and amenities were both fantastic.. The food especially the Traders Club Lounge breakfast was awesome! I will definitely stay here again when next in Malaysia.
