Desperately seeking respite from the usual pasta and pizza restaurants in Venice we saw a marketing piece for this restaurant in one of the tourist board's magazines and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is at the rear of the Hotel Principe and you do have to walk through the hotel lobby to get to it. Once inside we were shown to a table outside i.e. alongside the Grand Canal, which on a warm August evening was ideal. We chose the tasting menu, 7 courses and absolutely delicious. Not cheap, but then what is in Venice?

We've read about great reviews about Mirai from Trip Advisor so we've decided to go there for dinner. We arrived late at 10:30pm due to our flights and were glad to know that the restaurant was still opened for another half an hour or so. The restaurant didn't seem that busy at that time. Instead of welcoming us and taking our orders, he went on about the sushi chef being very busy serving other clients. We were happy to wait for 20 or 30 min, but was later told that they may not have all the types of fish needed etc. We decided to take the order out, so we would not need to linger in the restaurant if there was no space, but the maitre kept coming up with excuses/explanations that really didn't make a lot of sense to us. In the end we walked away because we didn't feel welcomed, even though we were guests staying at the same hotel where the restaurant was located.

Just like everyone else, after two weeks in Italy were looking for a bit of a change of pace for dinner. It's a very comfortable yet cozy place in a 4 star hotel with great service and wine list. They could however ad some bottles of premium sake to go with the bottles of Dom Perignon. Most important part of sushi is the fish and it was great & extremely fresh, second is the rice which was good but not great. Extensive selection of sashimi, nigiri, hand rolls, specialty rolls and tempura.

I told the restaurant it was our honeymoon and they did a great job of reserving us a table in the corner with rose petals laying on the table, the menu is all fish (mostly raw), and what we ordered was both delicious and fresh. The menu is not as creative as we thought it would be based on our previous sushi experiences in other countries, but the freshness of the food itself I think is pretty hard to come by, and we found it here at Murai. The staff was extremely friendly and made the experience that much better. The location is also pretty easy to find, right near the train station and in a central location.

We are staying in Venice for last a few days. Visited a few restaurants - most were ok, maybe with some "but". This one was definitely the best one and there were no single thing we could be unhappy with. The food (because this is the most important in the restaurant, isn't it) was delicious (we had various types of sushi). Fish was fresh and everything was really tasty. I'm big fan of sushi and tried it in many European countries - this was really very good. The staff was nice and friendly and was a kind of man you cannot be bored with. He created nice and family atmosphere where everybody feels relaxed and safe. Finally the place is really nice and filled with great jazz music. Big "LikeIt". Oh, forgotten -> what is usually important for readers. 70 Eur was a price of sushi where everyone (4 people) got around 15 pieces. Plus drinks went higher however for Europe it is "normal" price.

It was incredibly delicious, because the food was fresh! I got 20 percent discount for making a reservation. And Chstiano was very kind. 음식도 넘 맛있었고 미리 예약하니 20% 할인도 되어서 정말 좋았어요. 아이언맨을 닮은 웨이터 크리스티아노는 친절하고 유쾌했습니다.

Mirai. Expensive, but it deserves every cent: from the high quality sushi, wines and desserts, to the service very friendly and very dedicated to the clients needs.

we are so picky and from a place where we can get amazing sushi so we were so pleasantly surprised when the meal not only met but surpassed our expectations! the food was awesome but honestly the service was even better! we would have been fine with good food and lousy service as food is the most important thing to us but cristiano and lino were so wonderful we couldn't have been happier!! graze!!

The best sushi I've ever eaten! Simply delicious. If you are in Venice, you have to try Mirai Restaurant. Even if you are not a sushi lover, I'm quite sure that after a meal here you'll love sushi. Definetely! The location is good, around five minutes far from the railway station and the restaurant is very cozy: there is a nice atmosphere. The service is also great! Can't wait to go there on summer to taste sushi outside in the terrace! Excellent!

I went there on saturday evening for dinner and everything was great. The waiters were professional and nice, the food was excellent (never ate such a good sushi before and it was prepared by a real Japanese chef) and the wine too. We ate with a stunnig view on the Grand Canal...it was amazing. The prices are related to the high quality of the food...so it's not cheap but it worth it. If you are in Venice you can't miss it!

Every time I'm in Venice or nearby I try and go to have lunch/dinner in this lovely Japanese restaurant. Definitely one of the best japanese places I've never been to. Very cosy. Kind staff, perhaps a bit too chatty sometimes. My fav dish is no doubt unagi sushi. Only thinking about it makes me hungry :)

Horrible experience! The manager Pino was very disrespectful had no manners how to greet and converse with guest. I was sick and was with a 2 yr old baby. He was extremely inconsiderate to the baby. Even though we were staying in the hotel of the restaurant, he would insist on asking for cover charge including for the baby. Terrible place will never recommend anybody visiting Venezia.

I'm used to high quality seafood in my hometown in Norway and I was impressed by the sushi at Mirai. I would definitely recommend this place if you're on a lookout for sushi in venice. Been to other sushi places in Italy and Mirai is definitely the best so far.

Looking for something a little different and close to our hotel, we nipped in to the Mirai, expecting the menu to have mortgage-requiring prices attached to it. Instead, we found a good, varied menu that was very reasonably priced. My wife is not keen on sushi or sashimi; for her, there were plenty of other options, with her choice being a crab salad that she said was excellent. I went for the 18 piece sushi/sashimi board, which was excellent. So much so, that I then had a mixed tempura board as well - all washed down with hot saki. An excellent, slightly hidden gem of a restaurant that is far more affordable than many of the more touristy eateries in Venice.

I'm a Japanese food lover and I have tried Japanese food in Asia, Oceania, North America, South America, Africa and Europe, therefore I have eaten enough sushi and sashimi during my life and I highly recommend Mirai for whom may be in Venice and is addicted to Japanese food like me. My main orders at Mirai: - Desiderio (delicious combination of fried sushi + brie cheese) - Futomaki mirai - Salmon Temaki - Sushi + sashimi mix with shake kawa The waiter is awesome and attentive with everybody in the restaurant. I hope you can enjoy this restaurant as much as I do.

This restaurant was in our hotel and had a very good reputation. I was up early and watched the days supplies being unloaded from the water trucks.

We had dinner at this restaurant, which is located in the hotel we are staying. The Hotel Principe, Venice, Italy. The servers are excellent, the atmosphere, excellent, the food, excellent and the prices were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Venice looking for great Japanese cuisine .
