Nice staff, well situated just a supershort walk from the main walkway. Seems to be a bit of a local place. Ok pizza and a nice pasta dish even though it was not what I thought it would be rather I got octopus.

We found this place by mistake, as the restaurant that we intended to go to was fully booked. The waiter recommended that we tried this place instead and I'm so glad he did! It was quite quiet - do not be put off by this, it must be due to location rather than quality of food. We had the calamari, which was delicious, very well cooked with a light and crispy batter. We also enjoyed the wine, beer and a beautiful side dish of carciofi! The desserts were very good too. We thought it was quite reasonably priced considering the quality of the food and prices of other nearby restaurants. It's definitely worth giving this place a try, especially if you enjoy seafood and fish. The service was excellent and the staff made us feel very welcome!

Very welcoming atmosphere, great food. Black squid ink pasta was amazing, the appetizers were good too. Great service.

Wonderful service and quality food. We made an early reservation for dinner at 6:30 pm as we were heading to airport early the next morning. Warm greeting by staff and were served in a welcoming slow timeframe as we requested. Appetizer of prosciutto and melon, although not original, was excellent. Lovely bottle of dry Soave Blanco with our meal of pork cutlet with lemon and mixed grilled seafood was perfect. All cooked to order and done well. Complimentary bread basket and i asked for tap water vs bottled water The waiter happily brought us a carafe of tap water and no extra charge. 2 Euro per person cover charge highlighted on menu. Not a problem. Service not included. Wonderful Panna Cotta for dessert with a raspberry sauce on top. The host brought out a complimentary limoncello for us to top off the evening. Lovely restaurant and non-touristique as there were Venetians as well as visitors dining. Highly recommend this tucked away restaurant. Ourdoor garden dining, too, in good weather.

They are at #174 of the 1,260 Restaurants in Venice but my very personal experience on Thursday 21st september 2107 was awful. They deserve hardly #1074 or #741. The Spritz smelled and tasted badly. The sour sardines (local dish) were not fresh at all and the fegato idem. My friend sitting next to me had the same bad experience. The rest of the table of 12 was less negative. The day after we went to his neighbour (Antica Adelaide) and that was heaven compared to this one. It could have been a complete day off - just that day. So try it out. PS. The place was also almost empty when we were there.

Best meal in Venice. Expensive, yes a little, but hardly more than other less quality places. Every bite was fantastic. Caprese: the chese was extra smooth and thd tomatoes just right. The seafood risotto was so wonderful, rich and creamy. The salt fish was so fantastic and impressive to watch the elegant waiter debone. The cod was not salty, but tender and cooked to perfection. These three dishes with a Beleni and prosecco, plus gelatto desert was E78. It was worth it, a treat, indeed in a beautiful, quite setting, with vines overhead and little foot traffic by the garden. The waiter was fun, kind and quite suave. If you can't afford too much, just go for the seafood risotto, very filling and E30 for two.

We had read the reviews and the food and service did not disappoint. Venice is expensive and so is this restaurant. We had better value in Bologna but for Venice at least 4 stars

We were taken here while on a food and wine tour of the Ghetto. The seafood risotto was amazing, so fresh and tasty, we decided we had to return. Which we did, twice. Each time we had no reservation but was welcomed in with great service and fabulous food. As there were four of us we tried several different dishes on the menu, Charcuterie, spaghetti Vongole, Pizza, Fresh Pasta with Tomato and Basil to mention but a few. We only tried one dessert to share as we were quite full, this also did not disappoint. The service was excellent and the prices very reasonable for Venice.

It's very close to the center of Cannaregio, basically turn left at the Irish Pub, and it's 20 metres away. They have a courtyard, and a room inside, and it backs onto a canal. Super cheap, great service, just wonderful in all regards. We each had a seafood appetizer, then a pizza and a lasagna as main courses, a bottle of Rose, and finished with 2 coffees. The total was 74 Euros. Simple, yet perfect. And the service was outstanding.

This was probably the best of the four restaurants we had dinner at in Venice, which is a high accolade given the quality of the other three. First-class seafood, pasta dishes and pizza as well, served by a charming family. It was a Monday evening, so there was no need to book but I would recommend doing so for a weekend. Try the Recantina red wine - best of our trip.

We wandered out for dinner but wanted something away from the crowds and found this lovely restaurant. It has two entrances but we came in from the back into the terrace area where everyone was on the quiet night. We started with proscuttio one with melon other mozzarella and both very good size portions. We followed with spaghetti ragu and the local dish liver with onions which was very good. We had the house wine which was very acceptable. All in all a good find rather than one of the places on the main tourist trail

Wow we saw this restaurant on the way to the square and loved the setting-in a courtyard with vines around a pretty colored patio. We came back to eat later and it was incredible. The service was excellent and the food the best of our trip so far. The shrimp cocktail, beef, lasagna everything was food perfection. I will be back to Venice just to eat here again. Incredible.

Ok, so we're snobs. Let's get that out of the way. We also kinda forgot to book a single restaurant for our stay in Venice. Just completely slipped our minds. We had the hotel try restaurant after restaurant - to no avail. It was a Saturday. We told the hotel that we wanted fish. They came up with this restaurant. We decided that if we didn't like the looks of it, we'd try to find somewhere else. We got there and I gotta say as soon as I see a multi-language menu with the little flag symbols denoting the language, I turn and run. We looked everywhere to try to get in somewhere else. Still no luck. We went back, somewhat late for our reservation, but they were fine with it. They weren't packed, but they were close to full. I was determined to make the best of it. And I'm so glad we came back! Our waiter, though he'd only been studying English for 3 months we later found out, understood our food sensitivities, writing them down, and ensured that nothing we ordered had any cow dairy in it. We ordered a seafood risotto for two (15€ each) which was dairy free and absolutely delicious! A good portion for each of us, which they split before delivering to us. Then we had the sea bass done in salt. If you've never had this, it's just great. We've only seen it in the south of France before so we were happily surprised to find it on the menu. The owner brought it over, cracked the salt casing and filleted the fish. It was served with several grilled vegetables. The fish was delicious, moist and tender. And perfectly cooked. The fish does not end up tasting salty, btw. The restaurant is run by a family and they were all very pleasant. The only negative was the ambiance - brightly lit and not very inviting. It's more of a casual family restaurant, rather than fine dining. Despite the atmosphere, I was pleasantly surprised by the food.

We came across this lovely restaurant while exploring the Jewish Quarter -in a quiet lane away from the crowds- The food was delicious, the four of us chose different seafood and no one was disappointed. The staff were friendly and provided fun service.

This neighborhood restaurant has a richly deserved wide visitor following. It very much belies the adage that good local restaurants do not have menus in several languages. The food is exceptional, and the service is very good. They accommodate requests, such as sharing an appetizer of spaghetti with squid and black ink sauce, graciously. The wine list is large and has a good selection of local wines. Somehow, a bottle of local sauvingon was not too much wine for two people with so good a meal.

Cosy place and fresh fish in the Cannaregio area. Great service and friendly staff. Chicken was a bit dry so we recommend the fish courses.

We were introduced to this restaurant while on a great food tour. The selection was black squid pasta, which none of our party had ever tasted. What an exceptional dish, this is a family run restaurant. The service and the food were outstanding, everyone in our food tour were very impressed. We were only in Venice for three days. The real criteria for this review was my 14 year old granddaughter who is a very picky eater and she was most impressed with the homemade pasta. We loved this restaurant (both the food and service) which were so delightful that we returned the next day to enjoy another great meal. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a great meal.

Visited tonight with my children and friends on recommendation of hotel (who we will question how and why?)...... great location but seemed strange when all good restaurants (and rubbish ones) were full and this was empty apart from a tour group that paid to be there..... and it was expensive compared to other better restaurants in the area. The food was ok but when we complained (and being British it was very tame) that 3 main courses were served with starters and 15 minutes after we had finished the rest were served we received the rudest response, not once but 3 times and then very rude and surly attitude for the rest of meal until we could escape. I would not recommend this to anyone wanting a nice evening in Venice - there are better alternatives as food was only ok and service was a disgrace and they deserve their empty restaurant.

This place is off the beaten path but is worth every calorie burned finding it. The main event is seafood - all sorts. And everything is fresh and wonderfully prepared. We were a large group so chose to share a number of first courses - steamed mussels, sautéed clams, grilled shrimp, and crab, among others. All as good as it gets. So where do you go from there? FISH! Everything fresh, de-boned table side, and absolutely delicious. There is a wide variety of freshly caught options displayed in the cases as you enter the dining room. We dined outdoors in the rea of the property which added even more ambiance to the experience. Service was fabulous with the owner hustling the dishes to our table with enthusiasm and humor. He obviously takes great pride in his credit and his restaurant. This is still a fairly good secret of a place so brush up on your menu Italian and have a wonderful dinner. It will be hard to top.

Last week my wife and I had a long weekend in Venice for the Carnivale. Hotel Boscolo recommended a local restaurant for dinner on our first evening. We enjoyed it so much that we cancelled other restaurants and made a return visit to Pescatori before we left the city. The menu is excellent and extensive, Fish, Meat, Vegetarian or pasta. Standard of food was first class on both visits and the prices were reasonable. The owners were very friendly and made us so welcome. This will be on top of our list of places to eat for our next visit to the wonderful city of Venice.
