If you don’t feel like braving the crowds at the Trevi fountain check out the lesser-known but equally fascinating Piazza Navona in Rome. It doesn’t just have a fountain, it has three — and it’s also home to many buskers, painters and festivals.

Lots of nightlife of this square. Performance artists galore. Restaurants line the square. Boys came back a 2nd and 3rd time here as they were fascinated with the scene

Beautifull place especially during the evening where you have slightly less tourists. Nice place to sit close to fountain and relax or you can have a drink in nearby restaurants...

The gorgious statues installed in the fountains of Piazza Navona offer great potentials of taking a rest on the marble benches. Too shame there were so many garbages on the day I visited the Navona square.

Not a lot to say except it's a beautiful big fountain in a lovely quiet square. Nice eateries nearby. Not too busy compared to Trevi.

It was everything I had hoped for! The ambience, just incredible! Hustle and bustle, people watching, sunshine, square side restaurant with a fantastic view of everything, refreshing drinks! Don't expect not to pay for it, our cocktails were 10-14€ each. But you can take your time, they dont rush you. Stunning fountain, wall to wall architecture and obviously the church too! Locals friendly as were all the tourists. What a fantastic vibe! Could sit for hours taking it all in :-)

Just stroll through and take in the amazing atmosphere and the fountains. Avoid eating and drinking at the cafes as they just gouge you as tourist traps.

A fantastic place to come and eat/ soak up the atmosphere of Rome. Plenty of places to choose from. Some are much better than others. You can't beat sitting with a nice meal looking across the Piazza. Can be very busy.

Walking around Rome and suddenly find yourself at Piazza Navona is really a treat. The piazza is clearly the most beautiful in Rome, maybe in all Italy.

After trekking around this part of Rome, it's time to fine this square and have a breather. The central Fountain was working when we were there a couple of days ago but the others were not. The Piazza is impressive but so are the other piazzas. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants with shade.

Great square in Rome, very beautiful to look at it and you can really get the character and feel of Rome from here. We stayed out of the way of this not in walking distance but if I went to Rome again I would stay near here as there are lots of restaurants. On the day we went there would some independent artists selling their work on the square. It was lovely to view the paintings and we bought one of them which we love. Unsure if the artists are there every day or if we just struck lucky on this particular day but if you are an original art lover wanting to support small artists definitely pay a visit!

This is a beautiful piazza .. There is a fountain in the middle and a church. Both of which has super interesting story.. Made by rival artists.. Should check it out

Beautiful Piazza with surrounded by lovely restaurants and street artists. It is very central to other locations, so we found ourselves walking through here multiple times. Sadly the selfie stick vendors do tend to follow you around here and take away from the ambiance a bit.
