If you don’t feel like braving the crowds at the Trevi fountain check out the lesser-known but equally fascinating Piazza Navona in Rome. It doesn’t just have a fountain, it has three — and it’s also home to many buskers, painters and festivals.

Lots of nightlife of this square. Performance artists galore. Restaurants line the square. Boys came back a 2nd and 3rd time here as they were fascinated with the scene

I wanted to see it without stalls and kiosks, Utopian desire and that any utopia - UNREALIZED. But with a little imagination you can understand how beautiful and charming is.

This Piazza is popular with tourists but is not as crazy as trevi fountain or Spanish steps. There are the usual buskers trying to sell you selfie sticks but there is also a local artist with very good oil paintings

A very big piazza, with the masterpiece fountain of Bernini in center, this is a must see while in Rome. Beautiful arhitecture, street performers, many places to eat and drink a cofee.

Lovely place take pictures, buy souvenirs and watch street performers. But i would not recommend eating around here! We had a small drink each at a bar with a terrace but some places were charging >20 euro for dishes that you could get for 10 -15 euro 5 minutes walk away

I just love this Piazza - originally the site of the stadium of Domitian (1st century AD) and more recently made (in)famous in Dan Browne's "Angels and Demons" the Piazza is vast and surrounded by good (expensive) restaurants but what could be better than savouring an early morning espresso while looking and listening to the sound of Bernini's "Fountain of the 4 Rivers (Nile, Ganges, Danube and River Plate). A short walk from The Pantheon and Triton Fountains (Barberini Metro station line A is your friend here)

Its a nice piazza, very busy with people, a lovely place to enjoy a meal, a dessert or a coffee. I recommend it when visiting Rome.

Nothing much to "see" here other than the central fountain and an appreciation of the obvious ancient hippodrome shape of the piazza. But this is a place to rest and rejuvenate after trekking through town. Enjoy a meal at a restaurant, a chat on a bench, or just take in the ambiance. Good place to catch your breath!

Piazza Navona is undeniably very popular among the tourists. A place with romantic fountains, loads of cafes and restaurant and a very nice churh of St. Agnese, definitelly worth recomending. All in all- a place to step in, when in Rome :)

Piazza Novana is a large square with 3 fountains and bars and restaurants around it. Good place to have a drink and watch the people in the square

Very nice, go late at night or early in the morning for less crowds, there are many restaurants around, try to avoid as it's quiet expensive and not authentic Italian cuisine.

The Bernini Sculptures in Piazza Navona are spectacular. There are some nice cafes and some great art in the churches surrounding Piazza Navona.

I know, everything in Rome is a must see, but this is a unique square, built on the stadium of the the Roman emperor Domitian (86 ad). The three fountains ( designed by Bernini, Borromini and giacomo della Porta) are simply magnificent both during the day and at night when they are beautifully illuminated.

Plenty going on around this Piazza and plenty of choice for alfresco dining.perhaps too many street hawkers for my liking but the little bars/ cafes made this a nice pace for a sunny afternoon

Instead of eating at the expensive restaurants here, eat elsewhere first and then come here for gelato and people watching. The fountains are lovely and the square is more beautiful when lit up at night.

This is an attractive square of historical interest. The fountains the star attraction but also a couple of museums in the square. Lots of places to eat so worth at least a coffee stop. Very close to the main market and Pantheon.

Well, nothing too peculiar about this place. Has a nice fountain, a nice to view basilica & a ray of over priced restaurants. Some hustle-bustle only if you have performers (that you'll come across almost everywhere, with almost similar talents). If you have some extra money, dine here with outdoor seating option. Nice to visit place but not recommended if you do not have too many days in Rome.

Piazza Navona , was the site of the stadium of Domitian , kind of the open space where ancient Roman come to watch ( agones )games , it known as ( Circus Agonalis ) . To day is a large and beautiful Piazza with 3 beautiful fountain and the main one and the famous ( Fountain dei Quattro Fiume ) Fountain of the four Rivers with Egyptian obelisk, in the center of Piazza , beautiful Church and Palaces Piazza Navona feature a good example of Baroque Rome art and Architecture . Surrounding with a Restaurant and Cafe, a good place to people's watch especially in evening. I been recommended to have dinner under the Rome sky ( If not you are not in Rome ) it true. I did really enjoyed dinner under stars , thank you,
