Antico Arco has fresh, inventive dishes in a dramatic setting. Try the eggplant ‘parmigiana’ with basil and pistachio, and the homemade ravioli stuffed with sea bass and rock fish.

I was in Italy with my wife and 7 other couples in June 2017 and we had dinner here our last night before heading home. We had a private room so it was nice being secluded. Some of us had a fixed menu that had 6 or 7 courses. It was awesome! Good service and wine. Would go back for sure.

I was ill as I walked out the door of this tourist trap (sad for Rome, it is Olive Garden quality food, not fresh or homemade). The food is awful, the cost is high for the quality, and from my food poisoning, I would guess their quality controls are quite minimal. Avoid this place...

My wife and I had dinner here the evening we arrived in Rome and we were so glad we did. The menu is full of Italian classic dishes, but with thoughtful presentation and explosive flavors. I highly recommend the eggplant parm and the carbonara!

Had a great meal here - we ordered the eggplant parmigiana for starters, and beef tenderloin and sea bass for mains. They also gave us gazpacho, bread and desserts on the house. Staff were very friendly and service excellent. There is an outdoor area which is quite nice. Only downside is it's a bit pricey! the mains are 30 Euro each on average! For two people expect to spend at least 100 euros!

We're staying at the neighbouring hotel to this restaurant and on our last night (unfortunately) ate here. We didn't realise that they allow you to share most of the dishes on the menu we were practically encouraged to do it! We shared the open kebab which was amazing then pasta with truffle....one of the best we've had. The main course of lamb for me and beef for my wife were again perfect . Free bread ( large choice in a bag) and free water great wine list really good service. If your staying at the hotel next door like we were don't eat anywhere else! My advise is to go with the taster menu as well . It looked incredible.

We went to this restaurant because it was highly recommended by a food critic, and it lived up to its great review. Roasted pigeon with garlic mash, rabbit ravioli, followed by steak tartare with a layer of marinated thinly sliced mushrooms topped by shaved smoked foie gras. Who would have thought one could find this quality of food in a relatively unknown restaurant, or at least to visitors. Like most excellent chefs it was a fusion of wonderful combinations of herbs and spices. An absolute treat.

Pasta cacio and pepe was really bad done and the roasted pigeon without real flavor. We expected more from tagliolini with octopus

All dishes I have tried were too heavy, not the right flavour one expects from a gourmet restaurant. Not enough elaborated and not with the right mix of ingredients. Some dish was also too salted. The service can improve a bit while wine list is acceptable

All of it great. Atmosphere. Service. Creative menu with great quality good. One of the best meals I have had in Rome ever. Top Top. I highly recommend to Americans (or any nationality) not familiar with Italian food and want a very special experience. Can't make a mistake here!!!

We stayed at the grand hotel del giancolo which is a two minute walk to the restaurant. We came across this restaurant on our first night and ate here four out of the seven nights of our stay. The staff make you feel very welcome, the food is amazing we tried most of the dishes as there was three of us. The kebab salad as a starter is a must try. My husband loved the carbonara and the goats cheese ravioli and I enjoyed the fillet steak. The wine was really good too. This is a lovely restaurant, it is not cheap but you get what you pay for. A lovely touch is that between courses you get taster dishes which is just a mouthful of something the chef sends out from the kitchen.

Antico Arco has been one of my favorite restaurants in Rome for many years. It occupies a unique niche in the Roman dining scene - it is traditional at heart in the origins of its menu but it is tastefully modern and european in its style, approach, and ambience. Over many different dinners over many different years, I've found the kitchen to be consistently excellent and the service to be professional, warm, and attentive. Presentation is tasteful, the dining room is romantic and white, and the prices commensurate with the experience you have. A slightly out of the way location that usually requires a taxi for most people, but if you have the gumption you can walk uphill from Trastevere. I find myself always making a reservation at Antico Arco anytime I'm in Rome for at least one dinner. It's a lovely and romantic dining experience if that's what you 're looking for...but I've also been several times with my young son (who was 6, 8, and 10 over the years) and always been treated with gracious warm service as well (though my son is well-behaved and a good eater :). I would not hesitate to make Antico Arco a destination for a special dinner when in Rome!

I hesitate to write this because I don't want my favorite place in Rome to be overrun. What an incredible experience. The care with which dishes are created is clearly in evidence. The service is so attentive and careful. Bread is baked on premises so they could even give my nut free son delicious baked goods...almost unheard of in this world. Stick close to the apps and pastas and you will not go wrong. Guaranteed.

The restaurant is on the cusp of fine dining. A pleasant atmosphere and good food. An extensive wine list with reasonably priced wines. Expect to spend EUR 70 p.p. for three courses and wine. A really good place to celebrate something special

Antico Arco is a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth the effort. Our visit for lunch turned out to be the best meal of our trip. We enjoyed the tasting menu which included tuna tartare, fresh tomato soup, spaghetti with carbonara sauce and shaved truffles, and a perfectly cooked lamb fillet with more black truffles, followed by cheese and dessert. My suggestion is to come hungry in order to truly enjoy this feast of food. The service was excellent and they were able to accommodate my wife's gluten free requirements.

After a walk through Villa Doria Pamphil, I came here for lunch. I sat outside in the shade and it was the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy a tasty meal. They gave me a complimentary appetizer (pea soup with cod) and the bread they served before the meal was superb. I ordered the risotto with ceviche and it was very, very good. Managed to be both very filling and refreshing. It was spiced just right and was definitely a meal I will remember! I didn't love the decor in the interior--a little fussy for my taste, but the outdoor area in front is simple and sweet.

Before our trip to Rome I perused Trip Advisor for restaurants and AA seemed to fit the bill with good reviews,we were not disappointed, Good setting, lovely interior that didn't overwhelm. Proper linen and attentive friendly staff. Spoilt for choice with the menu, certainly spoilt with the massive wine list. Asked for recommendations for the wine from the waiter who chose well. Food is very good with added freebies ! This is fine dining, in a very relaxed atmosphere, would definitely recommend and would return.

Every plate our party had was amazing, highly recommended the Fish Tartare and the Gazpacho soup. Great wine selection as well. My best experience so far in Rome.

I came upon recommendation of one of my friends. What an amazing restaurant, with a delectable tasting menu. My favorite dish was the spaghetti a la carbonara with truffles, so rich and creamy. All the staff were very polite and kind. Our waiter, Federico, gave us great recommendations and was very personable. The place itself was very modern looking, very clean, temperature was not too hot and not too cold. I would definitely come back to this restaurant when I'm back in Rome. Thank you very much for such excellent food and great service!

We thought the food here was very good. We would recommend it but without saying the restaurant is a must. We did think there is opportunity for the team to make a little more out of the ceremony of the whole experience. The service although friendly wasn't quite as seamless as it could be, we didn't feel 'owned' by anyone on the staff in particular. The wine list is impressive and a selling point: 1,200 names apparently and many thousands of bottles. We would suggest they could do a little more with this - there was no one obviously playing the role of sommelier (although it was Sunday - so maybe not the full team on board - although the restaurant was full). The by-the-glass selection was underwhelming (with a list like this calling out for Corovin...). Thanks

About 10 minutes outside the city near the American Academy. One of Rome's top restaurants.Elegant and sophisticated with superb food. Amberjack tartare EUR 20 was perfection. a taster of rabbit delicious, Beef tartare one of the best I have had. Fine Primativo 2015 a bargain at EUR 30. Definitely recommended if you appreciate fine cuisine.
