Very busy spot, great food and dedicated servers. Food was a little slow coming out although this is allowed due to the shear quantity of covers coming in as soon as the doors are opened. I got the Florentine steak for 2 with my partner. Was huge, a great cut with great flavour. The starter was a slight let down (bruschetta) although I wouldn't let this dampen my view on this fine eatery.

We vere two couples enjoying a dinner together. Both the cickhen and steak for two is highly recomended. Pick a good Tuscan wine with the food and you will have a good time! Dont forget to have desert afterwards :-). If we ever go to Florence again we know where to go!

The restaurant was packed and I had the impression that there were more Iocals than tourists, which was not often the case in other restaurants in the city center. Our pasta dishes were simply done, with just the fresh ingredients and no sauces. My pasta with mushrooms was amazing. The service was a little slow, as the restaurant was completely full with many people in line waiting to get in. But, we were in no hurry, so it was fine. For me, it was our best meal in Florence. And, although other say it is expensive, it depends on what you order. We had appetizers, pasta and a good bottle of wine and the total was just over 100 Euros.

Seated right away, half way through our meal there were no seats available. Our waiter was excellent and very helpful and friendly. His recommendations were like I said above "BEST MEAL SO FAR", already planning an evening meal. Try it, you can't go wrong. Big Uncle Ron

This small but friendly spot was walking distance from NH hotel. We had an amazing lunch and loved the decor. We didn't have a reservation and they welcomed us warmly. Wonderful pasta dishes.

Booked ahead but there were empty tables all evening. Quite expensive but food was delicious. Nice and relaxing with helpful staff.

A local told us about this Trattoria dei 13 Gobbi and actually called and made a last minute reservation for us. They were very kind and fit us in two hours later! When we arrived, we were sat on in a small room with just a few tables. They were very busy, but we didn't mind because we figured that meant they were good, and we were right! Everyone around us was laughing, talking, and enjoying themselves, much like ourselves. Our server, whose name I did not catch, was probably the best server we have ever had. He was a young man from Napoli, and he was so kind and made us feel so welcome! We ordered the steak for two, vegetables, wine, and the cheese plate, and it was all fantastic! We could not have asked for a more perfect meal or service! I cannot wait to return. Thank you to our server and to the staff for fitting us in. We appreciate you all.

We didn't have a reservation but got in. The food is delicious. The dessert was interesting. You sit so close to people that you make new friends.

The experience of going to this trattoria was great. We have a 4 steps dinner with antipasti, first, second and dessert. We have wine during dinner and prosecco before and after. Is a typical Italian restaurant so we have been there more than 3 hours because they took their time to serve each dish

Another must visit in Florence. Reserve in advance and enjoy the incredibly charming atmosphere, where dining indoors or out. Just get the rigatoni and dream of it until you can go back again.

A local friend proposed me this restaurant saying it's one of the 3 best of the town and all the locals love it. We went there quite late and they served us, the service was good and fast and the staff polite. The food was good, especially the penne with mozzarella tomato sauce, but generally the food is not so impressive and you cannot expect a lot.

Our friends had recently been here so the place was recommended to us. We got a reservation a few hours before (good thing because when we left the line was down the street!). We ordered the Florentine steak for two - it comes pretty much rare so if you want it more well done, just ask! The steak was delicious and tender! We also got the pear salad and chocolate cake for dessert! We ordered a side of steam vegetables but they never came 😥 you have to go down a an "alley way" to get there, it's not on a Main Street but it is well worth it! I'd go again!

The waiter in this restaurant was so rude he ruined our meal and considering we have few nights in Florence with so many choices of amazing restaurants ... do not chose this one. When our waiter greeted us in perfecte english we asked where he was from and he was so rude and basically said he has to answer that question from everyone who speaks english and we find out we are fellow Canadians and he continued to be rude...he ignored us and didn't even want to help us with the menu as if any questions were a bother to him.. He was so arrogant. Then the meals came out separate times and one of our party didn't get his meal until long after the rest did and wasn't even cooked so we sent it back...he delivered one of our meals to wrong table and didn't say anything...He should not be in the hospitality/service industry. Not sure why everyone raves about this resturant as so many better out there...it does have a nice setting but after that it is blah.

Steak Florentine was Heaven! Wonderful find right around the corner from our hotel (Rivoli).Great service, atmosphere and food. I can't have dessert, but the table next to ours had the best looking chocolate cake and cheesecake. They left no leftovers, so must have been good.

The space was pretty spectacular. To be honest, the food was very good too. The Florentine steak was good, as well as the rigatoni special. It just depends whether or not you are willing to wait an hour after your order for the first course. And then another hour for your check even though you have asked 3 times for it.

Went for dinner for 4. Decor very nice-Italian country style. Decor charming. Waiter had very good dry sense of humor. We ordered spinach salad and prosciutto caprece. The rigatoni and florentine steak were both good. Place was not noisy. Very enjoyable. Go.

Great vibe in this very busy restaurant, a 15 minute walk from the Piazza Della Republicca. Recommended by the Concierge in our hotel, the food was tasty and well presented. Very friendly service and reasonably priced. Had a great hearty meal here, portion sizes about right and as much produce sourced locally as possible. Decor was very traditional and you really felt that you were in Italy...which you were of course! If in the area, try it, but make sure you are hungry! Not the easiest place to find though, hidden away in a very quiet and narrow street, so probably best to take a taxi.

After booking a table in the day we were initially disappointed to have to stand in the street for 30 minutes waiting for a table to come free. The problem with such a successful restaurant is that the reputation has grown and diners want to extend their experience into many hours, in turn holding up later guests. After being seated we had some average bread selection before our real food arrived. The Rigatoni was gorgeous! It was rich and filling so i advise having it for two or you will struggle with your main course. My wife had the chicken that was enjoyed but i particularly liked my Veal that was soft and extremely meaty. After several glasses of wine in the bustling restaurant environment we made our way out to allow some more waiting diners to experience the food on offer.

The food was very tasty, with good portion sizes that were reasonably priced. The decor was lovely, very old Italy, with candlelit tables and a warm, bustling atmosphere.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and was delighted to have stumbled on such a charming restaurant down a side-street, away from all the tourists.
