Good atmosphere, good wine and one of the best meal we had during our very short stay in Firenze. The only bit less pleasant was one of the man who served us. Otherwise we had a pleasant night.

We restaurant was recommended to us by our travel agent who has been spot on. My wife, daughter, and I split the florentine steak which was delicious. It was huge but we powered through 😲 We started with the salami and cheese app which everyone enjoyed.

Traditional cuisine with a refined touch. Whatever came to the table was a delight. The 1,8kg Firoentina was a bit cold and we resent it back for re-heating.

Previously we had visited 3 years ago for lunch. Tried to book via website but email returned as failed email address, persevered and phoned them. So glad I bothered as we had a lovely evening. Food was delicious, ambiance lovely, service discrete and professional. Our waiter gave us a detailed talk about the various hams that were on offer as we walked through the restaurant/deli on our departure. Potato, asparagus & slow poached egg with truffle was to die for. Risotto with goose breast & asparagus was lovely as was the pasta with prawns and courgette - very light.

Two points. First, I had dinner there on a weeknight in November (not exactly the peak of the tourist season in Florence). Still, it was a little odd that I was the only customer -- just me and the waiter. Second, the food is what I would describe as "fancy Italian," which you may be forgiven for confusing with "fancy American" and maybe even "fancy French". You know that it's fancy (because of the presentation, price, and type -- no lasagnas there!), but it also seemed kind of generic.

We selected the meal and opera package from Viator but were disappointed with the menu options as they gave us a limited menu and suggested that we don't order all the courses as they would be unable to turn them around fast enough for us to attend the opera on time. However, we planned our arrival time based on the specifics on the voucher. Food was just ok, service was adequate but certainly not exceptional. Water was included in our pre-paid voucher yet they charged us anyway. Seated us in the back of the restaurant in the corner where the waiter's convene to chat or perform prep work

One of the best meals in Firenze, and I did my research. The food quality was absolutely superb; Michelin-quality, though I do not believe they are rated. Given the typical service levels in Italy, this was also some of the friendliest, most efficient service I received in the country. A little pricier than your typical joint, but well worth it. Absolutely recommended.

Fantastic restaurant in a unique, romantic and historic setting. Food and service was excellent. The language barrier did not matter. We recommend it for a great, adults only dining experience.

Shared a lunch during December with a friend while visiting Florence. Great place off the beaten path and following a visit to the Pitti Palace and Gardens. Highly recommended, service was great, food was innovative and while selection was excellent.

Nice and cosy restaurant 3 minutes from Ponte Vecchio. Amazing appetizers with differnt types of parma ham and cheeses; very fresh mushroom salad and amazing pasta! The atmosphere is local and elegant at the same time; very attentive service so nothing to complain about! I will surely come back next time that I'll be in Florence.

This is a great place to eat, wonderful food in this restaurant with deli. The food is not what you expect which makes it all the more interesting. The staff were generally very good and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to go back here.

We loved this cozy family run place. There was a little hiccup in our reservation but they handled it graciously. The food was wonderful. My only comment is that the female server seemed a little abrupt, unfriendly. Perhaps a cultural issue, perhaps due to the reservation mix up, perhaps just personality. Anyway, we recommend a visit here. Make a reservation!

Olio & Convivium is a deli cum restaurant that offers all sorts of Italian delicacies like cured meats, cheeses, wines and of course olive oil. We stepped in for a look and ended up having lunch. We tried two different tasting menus --- the Leccio and the Olio. Both offered a four course meal with an appetizer, two courses and dessert. We enjoyed our appetizers, the blue cheese flan was especially good! Also liked the Quinoa with roasted prawns and pork belly which was tasty and tender. Dessert was not too impressive and the servings were quite generous so we were full by then. Service was efficient and not intrusive and the restaurant interiors are handsome. Prices were fair for what was served. Very good wine selection as well.

The chef here should be ashamed of themselves. I attended for dinner and found the food to be bland and overcooked. How the chef allowed several fillets of overcooked seabass with no seasoning to reach the pass is beyond me. Absolutely dreadful.

It is not the tuscany food you are custom, it is different, "nuovo cucina", excellent flavors, the sommelier is extraordinary, sadly the service is not god enough.

You eill be surrounded by foreigners and feel as you need to be best friends with your neighbors as the tables are rather close to each other, but the food is authentic and the wine list very extensive and reasonably priced. The service was friendly, though on the night we went it was slow to the point we wondered if the restaurant was adequately staffed. Still, if you are patient, you will be rewarded with good fare and even better wine.

Olio is located in the same street as our apartment, it was recommended to us by the owner and its TripAdvisor reviews were good; so three good reasons for trying it. What turned out was a very short walk for a really good supper! The restaurant seems to comprise a number of small rooms which gives it an intimate atmosphere though some of the tables, not ours, seemed a touch too dark. The room we were in was set up like a library with wine instead of books, very attractive. As well as an a la carte several tasting menus are offered. We chose one of these and found it very good value indeed. In addition they offer a number of decent wines by the glass enabling us to match wine to food or to individual preference. Any restaurant offering this gets extra marks in my book. The centre of supper was a really good asparagus risotto followed by beautifully cooked belly pork. The top and the tail were also very tasty. My only query would be that the service whilst impeccable was a touch too formal and stiff for my taste. By the end the sommelier and the waiter were beginning to thaw but I find eating more fun if one can establish a bit of a relationship with the staff. Highly recommended especially the tasting menus.

We came to this restaurant as part of a Viator tour. We were pleasantly surprised at how upscale it was. Lovely library atmosphere. The food was excellent. The pasta was homemade. The prosciutto the best we had in Florence. One of the few restaurants to offer fish and it was well prepared. Nice assortment of desserts. Overall a very delicious dinner with a sophisticated ambiance. Would go back.

For a restaurant that appears to focus on wine, we were unbelievably given menus without a wine list. When it finally came, the first wine we chose was out of stock, so why have it on the list? Then our pasta was served without an offering of Parmesan cheese or pepper, and on stone-cold plates to boot! Never going to be a great experience when the basics are ignored! Wouldn't go back!
