Nice surprise. Stopped by for a late lunch. The fried Calamari was the best we had on this two weeks trip in Italy. Squid was fresh and fry was light. Also, the Salmon "pizza" slice was also very good! Totally recommend.

I went there for a late snack before flying out and ordered some slices of pizza and fried calamari. The pizza's were great but the calamari was not good! I don't know if it was because it was frozen or too long fried, but it tasted like rubber. I left them and ordered a few other slices. It can be that I was unlucky (as others seem to enjoy it more) but perhaps you should decide for yourself.

Calamari is average at best and tasteless although it was soft and not chewy. We ordered two and confirmed with the peace finger and was acknowledged and he charged us for 3 as I thought 40 euros was a bit much for 2 cokes and 2 slices of pizza to go with it. He said it was too late to redo it. Mussel pizza was salty and marinara sauce wasn't so great either. Had mushrooms pizza which was a little bit better. Again lots of people came in to order just the calamari. Don't be fooled unless you just never had good calamari before.

Great for a quick bite. The octopus was wonderful! Pizza was covered in seafood! Great fried calamari. Fresh hot fries. Large beer and half liters of wine in bottles. Inexpensive.

This was recommended by the couple at Albis Rooms and I am glad they did. they have many types of pizzas, most with some type of seafood topping. I had smoked salmon, my wife had mushroom, both were very good. They also have calimari in a breaded cone which we didn't try but was also recommended. Go for it if you need a quick bite to eat!

The best Cartoccio I've ever had. Fresh seafood and good quality fry oil make Cartoccio light and tasty. Good located. Quite easy parking.

That's really very good for eating a good pizza on the go, specially ones with hot octopus on or fresh mozzarella. Other speciality is the fritto al cartoccio (mixed fried fish to take away). Absolutely avoid peak hours or Saturdays where it is nearly impossible to eat

Double wait, that is. We stood in line for half an hour only to be turned away because their credit card machine was out of order. Felt like a Seinfeld episode. We were low on Euros on our last night. Off we went to an ATM. Back in line for 45 minutes. We love calamari, and we REALLY loved theirs. Pizza was good too.

My boyfriend and I were staying for one night nearby before flying home. We stumbled across this place whilst wandering around looking for lunch. We had some great pizza and the fried calamari. Very cheap! Very delicious! We loved it so much we went back for dinner the same night and decided to try a couple of different pizzas and more calamari of course! Service was quick and everyone was friendly! Worth a visit for any meal or multiple meals!!

A huge helping of delicious fresh fried calamari straight of the boats, a massive wedge of lemon and an ice cold beer for just a few Euro. Happy days indeed!

People go here for the cones of freshly fried calamari served with a big wedge of lemon, including the locals. They also serve pizza slices, fish and risotto balls (delicious too) plus beer and wine. What more could you want? Fresh calamari with a glass of wine - yum. This wasn't how I thought we'd eat on our last night in Italy but it was just the best experience of fresh seafood caught today.

I am a HUGE fan of calamari, and this was the freshest ever.... The fishing boats everywhere, along with the long lines, are the hint you're at the right spot.

It's excellent option for fast dinner. Fried calamari is a must + different types of pizza with shellfish on top. 25€ for two people with coke and beer. We recommend it!

Stayed at Hotel Tibur and walked around looking at many of the restaurants. Having eaten fancy on cruise, we were just looking for a simple and fast meal. Many locals eating at this restaurant and the fried calamari looked good. It sure was!!! It was very lightly coated and flash fried so it was not greasy at all. We ordered one (order at counter) and then you take aseat inside or outside. It was so good we shared a second portion. The price was 8.5 eu for one healthy portion and we had beer with it. Best calamari I have ever had. It is served only with wedge of lemon. The staff spoke English and they take credit cards. Perfect before our flight tomorrow.

We decided to stay at Hotel Seccy before we flew back to the west coast of US. Looking for a nice lunch, we took a long walk down the waterfront and crossed the bridge and walked at length there as well. We didn't find many places open, or found those that were vacant. We came around a corner and saw 15 to 20 tables packed at Ge.Pa.Gi and certainly thought this was the place to be. EVERY table had the same dish.......calamari in a paper tube holder with 1/2 a lemon. We had the calamari as well as some of the pizza and it was incredible. I particularly recommend the mussel pizza. Our ONLY disappointment was that we weren't there for several more days!

We stumbled on this place during our last night in Rome while staying at the Tiber Hotel. We wanted a light dinner both for us and our wallet. Just perfect!. Take a look at this review from another website. I could not remember the name of the restaurant and wanted to write a review so I searched fried calamari and Fiumicono restaurants and wallla: www.italiannotebook.com/food-wine/fish-pizza-fiumicino/ Most of the people were locals as they were greeted with smiles and nods of acknowledgement from the staff. This is not fine dining, just good, fried calamari and pizza.

We were walking around on a Sunday afternoon in April looking for a restaurant and this was the first we encountered that had a table for us. The service and prices were reasonable, portions were larger than expected. One pasta dish was surprisingly peppery, actually more than that person could tolerate so left part of it. Other than that we enjoyed eating there, and enjoyed our walk on the nearby beach afterward.

We were staying at the Seccy hotel a couple blocks away and walked here the two nights for dinner. The fried Calamiri, served in a paper cone, is fantastic!! We took that and some slices of pizza back to our room with some nice red wine and had a simple, delicious meal. The fried calamari is really, really good!
