Can’t comment on any of the Drinks or atmosphere as we were denied access by doorman. It was a birthday treat and we had booked. Arrived 10 minutes before our 2230 booking to be told by a very confused looking Doorman that they would contact us and could not let us in. Didn’t give us a reason. We were neither drunk, rude or underage( it was my 45th birthday). Very disappointed the next morning to get a telling off email from open table booking site for not attending our booking at VCC! We were not contacted whatsoever during the evening to let us know we could go in. The whole experience from arriving at the door and dealing with a doorman who seemed clueless about what was happening has left me feeling dissatisfied and disappointed and a tad suspicious as to what happens inside.

Great secret cocktail bar right in the heart of temple bar. Really atmospheric and reasonably priced. The service was good and prompt - she even tried to find us an umbrella for the rain that had started :)

I've heard about this place for years and decided to give it a go. I could not be happier with the results! Entering VCC is like leaving Dublin to be part of a 1950's movie. You will feel like you are going to a different era. Cocktails are on the pricey side but they are perfect.- Its a MUST GO if you enjoy cocktails.- TIP: This place is usually full so if you decide to give it a go, make a reservation before you go. You can either book for drinks or drink and food.

Both myself and my girlfriend were both taken back by how incredibly rude the staff were. The place is nice and cosy and the drinks, although expensive, we found great. But the evening was ruined by the staff. Bookings are timed for two and a half hours. With ten mins left I had paid the bill and the waitress said I had to move as the next group were there and finish our drinks upstaris.I didnt wanna make a scene but had still time left on our booking. She snapped this at me rather than politely ask..AT one stage another waitress was cleaning the table beside us and sprayed me twice with the table cleaner without apologising. We both were laughing at how ridiculous the staff were at this stage it actually made a bit of a laugh to the night...but obviously we wont be going back to a place so rude....for an expensive nice spot, I would recommend seeking elsewhere.I had heard bad things about staff there before but experienced it for myself, so be warned...

Booked online and I was happy I read the reviews regarding the “hidden door” to get in. Lovely food (we took 4 starters instead of mains) and great cocktails! Will def be on my list to visit again!

Didn't find it the first time we went to find it! Had the location on GoogleMaps but it looks like a black fronted building with no obvious entry and no lights on that you can see from the street. Went back the next night, determined because it was such a mystery! Luckily a Deliveroo bloke outside told us to go and ring the doorbell at the door to the left hand side and we were greeted and welcomed in. Inside is dark and cozy but very cool and comfortable. The menu is a work of art, I bought a copy!! Cocktails themselves were the proper deal, completely decadent and grown up. Our server, Emily was very knowledgeable but also hilarious and told us about the famous people who had visited, including the bloke who did the voice for Bob the Builder!! 😂😂😂 We had a great time and it will be the first place I look for next time I visit Dublin. Try the Dirty Wizard! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Went here at the weekend and the staff were awful. Just so rude - to the point where it actually felt quite degrading. There are so many other better places - the Blind Pig being one. You have been warned!

Little hard to find with no real badging on the building but worth the hunt. Trust your gps and ring the bell. Great cocktails in a 1920s atmosphere. Going in it is as cool of a spot you'll be able to find in Dublin for drinks. We had antipasto and veal to start. Mains were sea bass and filet both were excellent and the drinks were first class.

We booked our slot at the VCC without really knowing what to expect and to be honest I don't really want to say too much as the not knowing is all part of the appeal! Once we found the door (no spoilers) we were led into a classy speakeasy where we were given our own little corner of Prohibition Chicago. A full menu of cocktails to choose from was handed over and kept us busy for ages. We all went for different cocktails so we could try each one. Every one was amazing and really enhanced the experience. You cannot fault the whole experience with the VCC. Only a stones throw from Temple Bar but a world away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin's finest. You really do feel you have been transported to a long gone era for a few hours. If you are in Dublin for more than a night (Temple Bar is a must) but the VCC has to be next on the list!

The entrance is marked only by a rusty door. On pressing the bell you are let in by an attrractive girl...are there any other kinds in Temple Bar? Up the stairs to a dimly lit dining room then up ,another flight to a small square are with its own bar and an open roof in the middle. An excellent cocktasil menu with a very large choice categorized ..well into categories. after a few cocktails i actually forget what the categories were but they were good and so were the cocktails. As an after thought i had some small plates which were actually quite delicious...whatever theyb were because it eneabled me to have a few more cocktails. be careful of the stairts on the way down!! This place is worth a visit ..Did I mention the cocktails!

Definitely book a table in advance - we went to the 7:45 seating on a Saturday evening and it was an awesome intro to Dublin. We sat in the lower level, and it had a great vibe - felt like we were in a cozy little basement, very intimate. We were seated next to a couple having drinks (we got dinner), close enough to hear their conversation and therefore, make friends :) The food was to-die-for (get the gnocchi!) and the cocktails were on another level. We had a super friendly waiter, who handled my indecision gracefully and recommended fantastic drinks to suit our tastes. The drink menu is a small book, and also includes great notes on the history of cocktails - lots of stuff I didn't know! I'm not a big cocktail drinker but I would 100% come back to this place next time I'm in Dublin.

Make sure to keep your eyes open for the non-descript black door brandishing the letters 'VCC' – this place, reminiscent of a 1920's speakeasy, has it all. The light music and vintage feel of this place provides a much needed getaway from the hustle and bustle of Temple bar. Given a rather extensive selection of cocktails (a mix of classics and exclusives) from different eras, the very helpful staff provide a wealth of knowledge in ensuring that you choose a drink that suits your taste. And having drank a small, but varied, selection of cocktails here I can easily say that they are the best I have ever tasted. If you are lucky enough to sit close to the bar you will see the effort and time that goes into making each drink - which makes it all the better. All in all, this place is a real "must" of you are in Dublin. It is sublime in every sense and we'll definitely be back! Recommended!

Now I have never written a bad review as this but I think this needs to be addressed. My friend booked a table of 5 for a celebration of a friend's birthday. The person on the phone said we were all good to go. When we got the the door this horrible bouncer refused entry for us. His reason was that he explained this club is 23 and over. However, we tried to explain we booked a table and the person at reservation said everything was ok but he just ignored us. Finally, he went inside to "speak" to the bartenders and came out telling us we couldn't get in. When we walked away we noticed two young girls were allowed entry and the bouncer didn't look at their ID's . Not impressed.

Cosy atmosphere, extensive drinks list - but the waitress (blonde with piercing) was disingenuous and it ruined the vibe for us. Pity - our group would have stayed longer.

VCC is a lovely, hide away in busy Temple Bar that lets you have neat cocktails, good food and great ambiance. I want to particularly thank Kim, the welcoming hostess and Emily, the kind and ever-so-capable server who made our visits so special. They were fabulous! I would recommend this spot to everyone!

Went for drinks and dinner and we both had a mixed drink from their eclectic and wonderful drink menu. I had what the bartender recommended based on my description of what I like, and it was a winner! Food was alright but wouldn't be the reason to come here. Environment is super chill and retro. Highly recommend at least coming for drinks and a snack or small plate.

The Vintage Cocktail Club, is a way cool speakeasy style cocktail place. Don't get me wrong, the food menu looks amazing. We will be returning to sample the food. The door is very non distinct. Just a blank steel door with "VHS" in gold stick on letters. Really reminiscent of a '20's speakeasy. Someone came down to answer the door dressed the part. Upstairs is dark and there are candles on the tables with melted wax. The ambiance is so kitschy! Thick cocktail menu going back to ancient times moving forward decade by decade. Unbelievable! Really intimate and fun. Service was quite good and the mixed drinks were excellent. Best old fashioned ever! My guests were more inventive and their drinks were also fantastic. Check it out. Don't let the entrance fool you. There is greatness behind the door!
