We were really disappointed by this place! From the outside it looked authentic so we decided to go in. The staff was not helpful at all. We received the menue without a word and had to write our orders by ourselves. But the worst part was that the portion of rice was full of ants (dead but obviously cooked with the rice). I understand that nothing can be clean 100% but this was so disgusting that we left!

Went a year ago only to find it was shut. This time it was open. Yay! Amazingly cheap and authentic place. Great lime juice and sticky black rice pudding. Chicken satay was good, nice chips and all super fast. No frills and that includes the price. Cannot believe I have been to Ubud around 8 times and never discovered the joy that is Jl Gootama. A new delight at every meal. No need to do hipster trendy places. This street has it all.

Firstly for a Warung the food is typically cheap and tasted perfectly fine. For this reason I haven't marked as terrible. My partner ordered a Sprite which came in a glass bottle which looked like it had been dredged up from the sea! It had clearly been used to refill each time with very little attention paid to cleaning it each time. My partner returned to the UK quite ill with Salmonella - I would never make a certain claim that any particular establishment was responsible without unquestionable certainty - however based on the fact she had chicken and I didn't, along with the apparent lack of any hygiene standards raises a serious question of doubt. Pay for what you get maybe..?

Cheap eat and surprisingly good. Not spicy enough to my taste but hot chili was laid on the table 😉

We returned to Dewa Warung after a couple of years and found it to be exactly the same - great food that is too cheap - the warung is basic in decor but you can't eat it. Will visit again on our next visit 👍🏼👍🏼

Cheap, good food in the heart of Ubud. Can't beat it for the price, and the atmosphere is nice too! Better to take one of the local dishes and enjoy the wonderful cuisine Bali has to offer. Eating here is 1/4 the price of any the restaurants around and the food is just as good. Definitely recommend.

Got in, looks nice and genuine. But gave me cold rice. After complaining I am told the kitchen never serves cold rice, I must have waited too long... in other words i am lying. I tasted the food when it was served and told them it was cold. In addition the sateh ordered never arrived. Avoid this place!

Dewa Warung is a small restaurant that serves village style indonesian food. Nasi Kampung is the best which contains samplers

Unlike most places in Ubud, which are overpriced, this simple restaurant has reasonable prices, and the food is good.

This restaurant became quickly our favourite in Ubud. A simple and somewhat communal environment, very welcoming, introducing visitors to exquisite local cuisine in the very centre of Ubud. They had the brilliant idea to include many small dishes, allowing customers to try and discover many new flavours at very reasonable prices. Service was very nice and friendly, well beyond average, each time, and so was the food, despite the competitive pricing. Be it a mid afternoon snack, lunch or dinner here you will be pleasantly surprised, both by meat and vegetarian options. Unfortunately at peak hours there may be some waiting to do given that the place is in high demand, but this is only normal when a restaurant manages to offer great food in a great location at very friendly prices. 5 stars and two thumbs up!

I absolutely love this Warung!!!! I stumbled on it walking around the market area and fell in love. I keep coming back. The Tempe or Tofu with fresh tomato sauce is so good and only 22idr!!!! Perfect portion size and I love the communal seating. As a vegan its sometimes hard to find local cuisine I can have, but the staff were so nice and reassured me that my orders were vegan friendly. If your in Ubud you need to stop in for some delicious local food!

Relaxed, cool and unpretentious atmosphere in this cheap local restaurant with communal big tables and some floor sitting. It is good to go by yourself, with few friends and even in big groups. The food was authentic and very tasty. We especially liked the stir-fried chicken with cashews (and something else), the gado gado and the chicken satay. Downsize: slow service and smoking French neighbours allowed.

The place is backpacker heaven, you sit down on the floor around one of those big tables and just enjoy cheap indonesian food. Took Ginger Chicken with Cashew Nuts and an Iced Tea, paid 37 000 IDR. This is just ridiculously low! Would recommend if you're looking for a place with a friendly atmosphere.

This is a great restaurant for vegetarians! We had meat and vegetarian options but both loved the vegetarian dishes most! The tempeh curry and gado gado were our favs. This restaurant has communal tables so it's great for people wanting to meet other travellers. The service is pretty quick but there's nothing fancy about this place! The juices and lassies are delicious and the vegetarian food was great!

Really good food, great service. We went at a quieter time but this place really gets busy, once you've tasted the food you'll see why!! Definitely worth a visit.

Quite a popular little warung with very cheap but very tasty Balinese food! I had cool Bintang (could have been colder) and a really nice lemon juice! The Nasi Goreng was tasty but I much prefer the yoke to be runny so that it soaks into the rice. The chicken satay was tasty although it wasn't char grilled style satay. The gado-gado was quite good too. For Rp114,000 it was a good value and very filling meal. I actually found out about this place through YouTuber Miss Mina's vlog which showed her sampling about 10 different items, including desert. I didn't have the appetite to do the same and the 3 dishes I chose were filling enough. Service was fast. Staff could have been a little more friendly. Highly recommended warung for simple, cheap and tasty Balinese food!

The food was just OK: spring rolls and chicken curry. In the first one is impossible to fail. In the chicken curry, the chicken portion was ridiculous. I claimed it and one of the aunties there, replied in bad mood that was ok. Unfriendly staff and incredibly slow...

Delicious and affordable easy to miss place. We rode by few times till we found it. It was worth it! I highly recommend the tempe curry and those crispy noodles (I forgot the name). They serve the typical Bali coffee which was not bad at all. The staff wad very friendly friendly too.
