I luv this new version of Monty's! =D They have new and more various menu, atmosphere is very good~more okay than before, service and hospitality have been much improved~it is very good now, kind and polite front desk ladies and staffs, food is also delicious (I tried the chargrilled boneless chicken, so moist, tender and rich flavor). Really a must visit restaurant!

This place is not just a restaurant but also a lounge/bar with a good crowd that comes on the weekend evenings. The place gets very busy at these times and you will need to book in advance or get a table with a minimum spend. Nice crowd here - Prefer this place as a party spot rather than a dinner place

Reception was ok. Interior comfortable (Lighting was good until the wish to clean out guests added a sudden octave of lumen; reminded me of my disco days). A duo of very good singers and a guitar gave the evening a relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and fast waiters - sometimes a bit too immersed in clerical activities. Above average choice of food and drink. Portions won't be leaving you hungry. I can recommend the pork belly risotto with mushrooms. Creative sorbets. Will return.

My experience began with the unfortunate fact that the map location of Monty's on its Facebook page is wrong. As a visitor to Jakarta, I rely on navigation software more than on taxi drivers who do not know many restaurant names or exact location. Try telling one to go to Senopati 84... This aside, once we found the place, we were seated at a nice table with a pleasant welcome. We were three guests. The menu choice is broad and reads very well - a good number of original dishes or variations of classics, certainly enough to keep anyone happy. By the way, a restaurant aspiring to this level should not be serving stale mini-baguettes. When I sent mine back, we received a plate with a few more reheated ones. Two of us ordered starters, only one of which was hot, but they did not arrive at the same time, in fact there was a significant gap. My starter, the chilled soba noodles, was good, innovative use of ingredients, but did not wow me. My sirloin steak, however, which ordered medium rare, was excellent. Still full of jus, cooked exactly how I like it, a nice if humble sized cut of meat. I really enjoyed it. The béarnaise sauce (note to the Monty's menu editor: béarnaise, NOT "bernaise", it is not from Bern). My colleagues' steaks were also very good, I am told. My espresso was great, and that is for me equally important - why finish off a good meal with poor coffee? It came in a glass espresso cup as I like to see it, was mild in taste but a nice roast, with just the right amount of foam on the top. The restaurant setting is very nice, subdued lighting, and seems to have an upper floor which we glimpsed but did not visit. The staff are generally friendly and smiling, which I attribute more to their Indonesian upbringing rather than to their training, and the service was on occasions a little awkward. Better training is needed. Overall, the place is OK, but it has potential for much more, as I believe it has a very good chef. I hope next time we will see some improvements.

Went here with some colleagues from work, and we ordered helluva lot of food. I ordered Fried Chicken with come corns and spinach. The chicken was good, on the smaller size tho, but still enjoyable. I'd prefer it to come with a mash, but I had to order in as a separate item, which was okay, but...yeah, would prefer it to come with a mash. The mash is superb! I love how creamy and tasty it is. For dessert we ordered the crème brulee, which came with a choco-nougat-nut-bar thing, which was heavenly. Not too sweet, and the bar thing balances things quite well. We also ordered the giant choco ball thingy, which was an excellence in presentation, but the taste is quite average in my case. Overall, a nice experience! I love the design of this place and defo a place for a nice treat-yo-self meal with friends or a date. Would recommend!

I had been wanting to try this Monty's since 2015. After I have had the chance, this has been one of a number fancy restaurants I would love to pay another visit due to its quality of the service, which is top-notch, and the food. I ordered truffle pork belly risotto and some kind of iced tea that I can't recall which one, and also some cocktails since I came here at around 4 p.m. when they were having happy hours for certain alcohols. The risotto was surprisingly good, fancy foods usually failed me since the taste was weird for me most of the time. So if you want to know my recommendation, straight up truffle pork belly risotto. However it's not on the brunch menu, kind of upsets me, but you can have it after 3 p.m. The tea was good, the cocktails were even better. If you order one, they would ask some questions regarding how you'd like your cocktail to be; which base you prefer, how sweet you want it to be, etc. I just knew I had to pay another visit, so I did. The second time I came at brunch time, so I had to choose what I wanted from the brunch menu. I ordered yuzu seafood salad for an appetiser and croque-madame for the main course. The salad was great, another favourite. The croque-madame was too big for my portion, it'd be better if you have someone to share it with. The dessert was two slices of cake, I remember one of them was chocolate and the other was purple topped with chopped cashew I think, but can't recall the name. The cakes were amazing, yuzu was another favourite, and the croque-madame was enough for 2-3 people. I had a great time visiting Monty's and to be honest, the price range is not that expensive and the service was always 12 out of 10. Therefore, as I'm not saying it enough, this one is always worth another visit.

The service was one of a kind. Me and my friend ordered ice cream, The ice cream was icy and not too sweet (which was good) and its got lot of toppings. Definitely going back for the club on the 3rd floor or a fancy dinner with hubby on the 2nd floor.

Ordered the Sunday brunch and the chicken. For a fancy restaurant, this chicken is pretty bad. Had to wait 30 minutes between appetizer and main course. Unacceptable.

This newly opened restaurant on Jalan Senopati has a classy atmosphere, attentive staff and very good food. It's not cheap, particularly for this area, so we may not visit as often as we'd like, but we were very happy with our meal.

Without doubt the Jakarta stand out for European food. Finally a place that doesn't try to fake anything. Beautiful ingredients prepared amazingly well and presented with elegance. Quality from all angles including the decor and service. Compliments to the chef and everyone else involved in this great addition to the Jakarta dining scene.

Went here with my friends last week for an early dinner before movie. Great ambience even it was not very busy. We tried a lot of dishes for sharing...truffle shuffle was amazing and steaks was very good also. Portions are large so even its pricy its good can taste the quality of ingredients...recommended for a special occasion:)

We went there to celebrate an anniversary and we had a good time. The place is quite small but we felt comfortable. I had the black ink risotto while my husband had the burger. It was excellent. The desserts were huge and a bit too sweet for me, so I couldn't finish mine! Thanks for this nice meal, keep it up.

It is my first time to visit this restaurant and the ambience is nice and cozy though it is not so spacious. The live music is great and entertaining. The food is quite good because I am not really an European food fan. The price is quite pricy and it is understandable because the visitors were mostly foreigners. The location is in the main road so it is easy to find as it is close to sudirman business district and pacific place mall.
