We fancied a drink after walking around Budapest all day, and came upon this little gem. The prices of drinks was good (compared to our Hotel), in fact we enjoyed it so much, we went back everyday at 4 for a few drinkypoos, before we left for our evening meal. Its a nice chilling atmosphere, good Eurpopean music, and its good to sit and watch the world go by as you quench your thirst with a wine or 3. You can also watch the Budapest Eye from here as well as the people looking round the small market stalls in front of the Bar, definately a good vibe here, and also its covered if it does rain.

Nothing special to say, I just had a good beer outside and liked the casual atmosphere very much. In august it is a refreshing place to be.

The place is maybe ok for drinks but nothing more! The service isn't good, the prices not cheep. I choose not to order food when I so what the table next to us got. It didn't look fresh or tasty. There is so many great places at this area, go somewhere else!

Before having dinner here, I read some comments suggesting the waiters were impolite. A traveler even implied that the waitress was rude because she did not smile on command. Perhaps he is ugly. How waiters were professional. Maybe they did not smile on command but I think they are not supposed to. Waiters do what they have to do: suggest and serve. Out waiters were polite. Food was good and the architecture of the place is modern and somehow funny.

The food is alright nothing special, the wine is overpriced and the service is really bad with unfriendly waitress. For this money there are much more better places around.

Friendly service. We had an Orange Duck Salad and one of the burgers from a large selection and Hungarian chips. Quality of the meat in the burger was excellent and very tasty (unlike Macdonalds & Burgerking!).

Didn't go for food, or waiter service, but as a bar in the evening this is possibly my favourite nightspot in the whole of Budapest. The atmosphere is unbeatable, so chilled. The drinks are very reasonably priced, and whilst they are in plastic cups, the cocktails are all top quality.

This place is serving all drinks in cheap plastic cups. The high prices don't match the quality of service.

waiters are impolite, not paying attention. don't get the houses white wine, it is simply terrible, shouldn't be for consumption. food is overpriced and you can't get a decent snack. mostly lunch food, what is not the best on a friday evening.

I could not order what I wanted to. They do not have everything listed in their menu card. Then, they gave me dirty glass. Staff is unpolite, lazy, ignorant - at least most of them. There was not much croud to handle, still bartenders had issues serving the guests in order. Someone just came to our table without saying anything, simply just leaving a post it that table is booked, regardless of us keep buying drinks and not just sitting there. Bad experience.

This venue is at a very convenient location (city centre), spacious, nicely decorated, mainly selling drinks but some food as well. The prices are slighly high, but not excessively so. However, the reason why I decided to write a review is to record a really disappointing experience. (Normally I only post positive reviews.) We were here with a large group of colleagues, for an after work networking event. The service was very slow, moreover, even though a group of 10 of us (from the original 20) remained chatting and still ordering drinks - they started removing parts of our table, because they had a large booking coming up. There were plenty of other empty tables, so they could easily have rearranged those, instead of ours. (After I waited 30 mins to order, they brought me the wrong drink. Thinking it would take them an hour to replace it, I did not complain.) All the while, 5-6 waiters were chatting at the bar, and noone seemed to want to take orders or to deliver them. It is a shame, on all other fronts it could be a great venue. The attitude is reminiscent of communist era Hungary - old habits really die hard, though I doubt any of the waiters was alive at that time.

Was here for lunch and tried the gulasch and the duck legs. Nice, clean place and good service (our waiter's name: Ronald).

If you like wine and 'fröccs' (spritzer) - red, rose or white wine with soda water - this is a perfect place for you. Located in the city centre, very busy mainly in the summer as the drink is mostly consumed during hot summer days as it is light and refreshing. Here you have a good selelction of hungarian and foreign wines. Both Hungarians and Austrians lay claim to the origin of the fröccs, but since soda water, one of its key ingredients, was invented by a Hungarian (Ányos Jedlik) I will side with the Hungarian story (and of course becuase I am Hungarian :-)))

this place has some charm from more than 20 years ago. the wooden bench lineup and the umbrellas give you the feeling that you're still somewhere in the 80's. During the day the customers are varied but as the night sets, it becomes the meeting place of students and even more young people.

Two salads and drinks (one beer, one lemonade). Nice spot, good salads, decent service, but 7,840 forints (28 Euros) seems a bit on the high side, especially for the relatively less expensive Eastern Europe.
